Here's a delicious piece of gossip for all you F.T Island fangirls out there.

F.T Island's Hongdangmu (that's "carrot"/"carrot-top" in Korean for you) Hongki revealed his preference in girls on MBC's World-Changing Quiz... And according to himself, he likes girls who are youthful and have aegyo. He also went on to say that age difference doesn't matter, and that he'd be okay with women who are around 27-28 years of age, though he's 20 years old (in Korean age) this year.

So for all you Hongki fans who were previously in turmoil over the fact that this FTI cutie was nearly a decade younger than you.... You still have a chance, confirmed by the man himself! Yay!

Or maybe he said this while thinking about how old Lee Hyori is? Hmmm....

Celeb couple JunJin and Lee ShiYoung break up after 6 months

It is known that singer JunJin and talent Lee ShiYoung has broken up in their love relationship.

JunJin’s company said on 3rd September, “The 2 of them still have some feelings for each other but they have decided to stay apart for the time being. We will reveal more details about this.”

 

They also added, “It is true that Jun and Lee ShiYoung has broken up. With that, they have ended their 6 months relationship which started in March.”

Meanwhile, the 2 had come clear with their love relationship officially in June. Back then JunJin’s company has revealed, “He has been dating Lee ShiYoung 3 months ago.”  Also Lee ShiYoung’s side has also acknowledged to the statement back then.

The 2 had built up good feelings for each other during their participation for MBC We Got Married.

Project rock band TRAX+Air for first performance on SBS Inkigayo on 6th September



Project rock band ‘TRAX+Air’ will have their first performance on SBS Inkigayo on 6th September.
‘TRAX+Air’ is made up of rock band TRAX(Kim Jay, Kang JungWoo, Kim JungMo) and newcomer rock band Air. And they will be performing the theme song ‘Fate’ off SBS drama ‘Swallow the Sun’ starring Kim JungWoo.
This group also sang 2 other songs ‘Voice’ and ‘That Place’ for the OST off the drama ‘Swallow The Sun’. There are also plans for the MV to ‘Voice’ to be revealed.
After performing on SBS Inkigayo, they will also be performing on other music shows.

Just Another Pretty Face?

New girl group T-ara has been sweeping up the charts with their debut single “Lie" and recently appeared on Star Golden Bell where they discussed, what else, their beauty! When asked whether or not they were aware of their beauty, Tiara’s leader EunJung responded by stating that before her debut, she considered herself to be very pretty. However, after debuting and realizing there are many, many other beautiful people, she now feels as though she is not that pretty after all.

In addition, T-ara was asked when they felt as though their pride was most trampled on after their debut. EunJung then went on to discuss their special “I’m Your Girl” performance where she sang without vibrato to achieve a more pure color to her voice. In response, many netizens criticized her inability to incorporate vibrato, and apparently, this was very hurtful to Eun Jung. Now, if that was the worst that's happened to her post-debut, I'm thinking she's in the clear! This industry can eat little hopefuls up for breakfast, so a thicker skin is a must! Hang in there, beautiful!

How f(x) member Luna and Krystal Got Noticed by SM

It has been revealed how two of the f(x) members, Luna and Krystal got into SM Entertainment.

The 16 year old member, Luna, revealed on September 2nd during the group show-case that she was casted on a show called, "Truth Game," (SBS) in 2006. In this show, she got a the nickname of "Wave Girl." She then said that it was on that show that SM noticed her talents and brought her into the company. Since 2006, she has been learning and training in vocals, dancing, and English.

The sister of SNSD/ Girl's Generation's Jessica and the youngest member, Krystal, also revealed in the show-case that she was recruited by SM when she was 7 years old but because of her young age, she started training just 2 years ago. Unlike Luna, she has been learning and training in vocals, acting, ballet, jazz dance and Japanese since 2006. She is also said to be fluent in English, just like her sister Jessica.

In regards to the long term contract and undisclosed earning percentage split problem, it had created an unfair contract. Tohoshinki’s 3 members finally decided to go through court to resolve this dispute with their agency SM Entertainment.

Recently, the 3 members of Tohoshinki had requested to have their earning percentage split in Japan’s documents without taking in much consideration.

It is said that Tohoshinki had debuted in Japan in 2005 and till now, 4 years had passed and each member’s earning in these 4 years could only reach about 1.5 billion. This is the first time that Tohoshinki’s earnings from their daily activities in Japan have been revealed.

Representatives had too expressed that SM JAPAN is a company that SM KOREA has 90% control over, and because of the matter over in SM Korea, it is said that it makes one suspicious of how SM Korea manages to pay for SM Japan too.

The members are rather confused over the whole percentage split earning because they have yet to see the whole real contract, according to SM in May revealed their financial status, SM Japan belongs around 93.5% to them. In regard to this matter, the public have raised questions.

Korean art schools professor, Lee Dong Ting said “Because of Tohoshinki’s activities in Japan, it had created a problem in percentage splitting. According to Tohoshinki’s agency, SM Japan and Avex would like to take in 50-50 of the earnings then between SM & SM Japan, another 50-50 in earning’s and in truth, Tohoshinki actually received only 1/4 of the earnings during these activities.

With an agenda of “Through Tohoshinki you could see that the companies system is full of problems and solutions were made,” Professor Lee also pointed out “SM JAPAN and SM been seen as 1 company is okay, therefore this kind of split for earning’s can bee seen as a dirty hand trick.” Professor Lee then said “The total amount that Tohoshinki is getting, being an artist and enjoying their reputation along with SM’s way of making use of the money in the name of ‘because it’s business’ (IE. Saying they need to pay their stylists etc) is not tallying with the reality calculation.”

DBSK Fans Want Their Cash Back

DBSK fans are demanding monetary compensation from SM Entertainment for the
cancellation of the SM Town Live Concert 09.

DBSK’s fan site, DNBN, gathered 1,222 fans on September 3rd and voiced their
want for “monetary compensation from the cancellation of the SM Town Live
2009 on August 16th and from the emotional/mental stress acquired from it.”

They “want an apology because SME did not state specific reasons for calling off
the concert, and also demand 10% of the original ticket price.”

At first, SM Entertainment said the concert will continue even though three of
DBSK’s members filed a lawsuit regarding their contract. However, on August 9th,
a week before the concert, SM Entertainment had a change of heart and said they
could not go on with the concert because of the lawsuit. DBSK fans want Korea’s
best entertainment industry to show their respect towards fans. DNBN said if
there’s no monetary compensation, they will file against SM Entertainment for
their loss on September 9th.

Fans are spitting mad at Tamra’s curtailment

When MBC announced that Tamra the Island was getting cut and ending early, they pissed off fans and even spurred them to publish a large ad in a daily newspaper protesting the decision. (As I said before, the ratings are low but this is a mania drama, meaning that the fans it has amassed are passionate — and vocal.)

The ad, which appeared on September 3, took the broadcasting industry to task for its vice of kowtowing to ratings numbers. It was organized and signed by members of the fan cafes for actors Hwang Chan-bin (who plays William) and Lee Sun-ho (who plays Yan).

Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha is Quite the Popular One?

The Brown Eyed Girls are leaving their mark not only on the music industry, but also in the hearts of male celebrities. BEG member Narsha revealed on “Flower Boy Po Cha” that she had been approached and asked out by no less than FIVE male celebrities.

She stated that she had a boyfriend up until her debut, but was dumped by him soon after. As word got around that she was back on the market, she became the object of many male celebrities’ affection. Interestingly enough, Narsha stated that although many had approached her, she was not interested in a single one- and therefore declined to date them. The other BEG members then chimed in, admitting that in actuality- all of the members had been approached by male celebrities at one point or another.

With an abundance of girl groups, it’s great to see these girls are not going unnoticed. I’ve always thoughts these girls had an intriguing look and the sort of charisma you can’t quite put your finger on. So, conventional beauty is on its way out!
