Hey party people, it’s Friday! Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to the 1st week in March, 2014. All the songs have been posted before, so we will see some live performances this week.

#3 CNBLUE “Can’t Stop”
I always hear this song in my head when I think about the group, but I don’t think it’s my fav. It just wormed its way into my brain somehow lol. This is the lead single off of the band’s EP of the same name. Both the song and the EP would peak in the top three on the charts. It was their only Korean release this year. After promotions for this song ended, they focused on Japanese activities and two Asian tours. Here’s a performance from one of last year’s KCONs. It feels like a different arrangement of the song, but it could be I’m hearing it different just because it’s live.

#3 IU “My Old Story”
This was the lead single from her A Flower Bookmark”, which was an EP made up of cover songs from the 1980s and 1990s. “My Old Story” was a cover of the song from Jo Dukbae. The album was both a critical and commercial success, and songs from the album would be on the charts for weeks.

This was the single from “A Flower Bookmark”, an album which was filled with cover songs from the 1980s and 1990s. This song was originally released in 1985, and her version would peak at #2. Another song on the album, “The Meaning Of You” would end up being her biggest selling song of the year.

#3 Lyn “Miss You…Crying”
This song came out at a really good time for her. The drama “My Love From The Star” had just finished up, which featured her big hit for the OST, “My Destiny”. This was the lead song from her “Le Grand Bleu” album, her first full album after two years.

This is the single off of her “A Flower Bookmark” EP, which features a bunch of popular songs from the 80s and 90s that she covered. This original song is so nice, and IU’s version is soooo pretty! It’s just sounds so sweet. The MV features actor Choi Woo Shik.

The Girl Scouts got me good this week, guys. Stopped me outside the grocery store on the first day of my period and BAM! Took all the cash in my wallet. And then again today at lunch for no real reason whatsoever. I’m going to see how many boxes I can gobble up this weekend because now I’m too broke to go out cause I spent my money on cookies. #3 Junggigo and Soyou featuring Lil Boi “Some”
This song! THIS SONG! Love this song! I still hear it every now and then, on variety and dramas when there’s some lovin’ going on. I remember this video, it’s cute! Poor bear lol. The MV stars Soyou’s Sistar groupmate Dasom and B1A4’s Baro.

JTBC2’s new variety show is set to bring together an interesting group of people.

“Learning the Hard Way” (literal title) is a new variety show being produced by JTBC Digital Studio. The show’s first destination will be Belgium and the cast will include g.o.d’s Park Joon Hyung, Soyou, Junggigo, Girl’s Day’s Sojin, and NU’EST’s Ren.

Filming will take place in late-July, with plans to air the first episode in September. The new show will air on JTBC2, and discussions are underway to air the show on JTBC as well.

JTBC Digital Studio is a cross-media studio that creates content across a variety of mediums including TV, IPTV, OTT, and online.
