Ryu Jun Yeol & Jo Insung to be in a film together!

Ryu Jun Yeol recently unveiled his next project as his hit tvN drama “Reply 1988” wraps up.

On January 21, his agency, C-JeS Entertainment, revealed, “Ryu Jun Yeol has been confirmed to be cast in the film ‘The King.’ He will playing the role of Jo In Sung’s friend, who is also starring in the film.”

“The King” will tell the life story of a man who becomes a prosecutor. The film is Jo In Sung’s first comeback to the film world in more than seven years after 2008’s “A Frozen Flower” and will also star Jung Woo Sung, Bae Sung Woo, and Lee Joo Yeon.

Notably, “The King” is set to have a production cost of 10 billion won (approximately $8.2 million) and will be directed by Han Jae Rim.

On the 20th of January, YG presents announced that HIGHGRND will be having its own radio slot this upcoming Thursday. The announcement mentioned that Hyukoh, Code Kunst and The Black Skirts would also be participating along with Epik High.

The announcement as follows:

Veteran Korean HipHop group Epik High and seasoned radio personality Tablo, comes to YG presents . Tablo will be joined by fellow band members Mithra Jin and Dj Tukutz as well as his independent label HIGHGRND’s artists HYUKOH, Code Kunst and The Black Skirts. Tune in every Thursday 9PM ET/ 6Pm PT beginning Jan.21st!

The description makes it seem like it is a recurring segment but we’re still not 100% sure if it’s just HIGHGRND or not.

Since YG Presents is for American fans, we presume that the segment will provide English translations on air.

At present this segment is on DashRadio which is only available in the USA, however you can get past the region block using a VPN such as Hola [OP note: seriously do not use Hola] on the web platform. In regards to mobile apps – I couldn’t download the Apple app but the Android app works fine for out of USA fans.

A rookie girl group member in her twenties identified as A, has been caught in a sponsor relationship after falsely accusing her boyfriend of the same age of sexual assault. After suing him and being brought into custody, her sponsor relationship with B was revealed.

Sponsor relationships refer to when an individual has an influential “sponsor” who pays them and provides different types of support in exchange for sexual favors.

It was revealed on January 22 that the Uijeongbu District Prosecutor’s Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Tae Chul) has charged A, who has also been charged with providing false accusations, and sponsor B with grievous bodily harm.

B has been described as a man of considerable wealth in his thirties. He is being charged for repeatedly assaulting A’s boyfriend C which resulted in broken ribs and various fractures that took four weeks to recover from. After assaulting C, B also stole C’s SIM card from his cell phone. This assault occurred on May 15 of last year.

At the time, B claimed that he committed assault in order to get photos of A from C’s cell phone. However, investigations found no special photos of A on C’s cell phone.

C sued B for grievous bodily harm after the assault occurred. Later, A sued C for sexual assault that occurred last January on June 25 of last year.

However, the prosecution confirmed that A threatened C with accusations of sexual assault because C had sued B.

The prosecution explained that A and B have been placed in restricted prosecution due to their heavy crimes of false accusation and grievous bodily harm.

Meanwhile, A is a rookie girl group member who previously won a prize at a model beauty pageant.
