On this day, three remaining members (Seungho, Mir, G.O) of MBLAQ made a comeback as M3LAQ and held a showcase for the group's 8th mini album, "Mirror." This was their first official appearance as a trio after Lee Joon and Thunder left the group. Accordingly, many questions flooded the event.
The three members all commented how difficult the past 6 months were. G.O even revealed, "I was in denial and lived in a virtual reality world (games). I had to mindlessly focus on something to keep my mind busy so I wouldn't be reminded of bad memories."
Immediately, people at the showcase emphasized with how empty the three members must have felt after Lee Joon and G.O's withdrawal. The atmosphere became solemn and it seemed as if everyone was about to outpour words of encouragement and support for M3LAQ's new start despite the hardships.
However, the group's following comments caused the diss controversy. Even though M3LAQ officially stated their support for Lee Joon and Thunder as well as a desire to create a win-win relationship, M3LAQ answered, "We use telepathy" when asked about whether they still kept in touch with Lee Joon and Thunder. In addition, they commented, "We're better at singing than the members who left." Negative images of Lee Joon and Thunder were quickly established as M3LAQ already mentioned how much hardship they had to endure due to Lee Joon and Thunder's withdrawal. Undoubtedly, the members were merely joking in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere. However, one cannot help but wish that M3LAQ were more careful with their words.
M3LAQ also indirectly revealed that their track "Mirror" talks about Lee Joon and Thunder. Seungho commented, "Everyone will have a different interpretation. I want to reveal everything (about Lee Joon and Thunder's withdrawal), but I don't want to ruin the memories we have."
M3LAQ members' bond with each other became stronger after experiencing a big change. They also developed a unique color different from before, and in addition, being a rare male trio group enabled them to enter a niche market of the music world. Their future is bright.
Consequently, such diss controversy upset many fans who have seen MBLAQ's 5 members depend on each other and hoped for them perform together one day in the future. While it is understandable that the conflict between M3LAQ and Lee Joon and Thunder will not be resolved overnight, it must be straightened out for them to become a source of strength for each other.

Source: Newsen via Nate
1. [+579, -39] But I'm pretty sure they made more when they were splitting 1/5 than 1/3..?;;;
2. [+431, -93] Speaking coldly, MBLAQ doesn't really have a representative song and I don't remember them ever being that popular for an idol group? Block B, BtoB, and TEEN TOP are doing way better
3. [+313, -45] These kids are not extras
4. [+23, -3] Why do they keep talking about the members who left... whether directly or indirectly, it makes me uncomfortable to see them bringing them up in negative connotations...
5. [+22, -1] The hate should be directed at the broadcast shows for constantly mentioning the members who left. I'm sure it's frustrating for MBLAQ and the other two who are doing fine with their solo activities.
6. [+20, -4] Lee Joon is the only member in MBLAQ who represented the group in a visual and talents way. He was the pivotal point of MBLAQ's image. I don't know what these three are intending to accomplish... they have no visual, no dancer.. just good music but the members don't have the potential to land a big hit or anything.
7. [+20, -6] I'm in my thirties... and out of the idol songs, I remember MBLAQ's being rather good but none of them were quite popular ㅋㅋㅋ the most disgusted I've been with an idol song was probably TEEN TOP's "Don't Spray Perfume"
8. [+18, -4] MBLAQ has only made it this far for being known as the group with Lee Joon in it. Without him, they're nothing.
Article: MBLAQ, "Lyrics about Lee Joon and Thunder? It's true that we used the situation of their leave in our lyrics"
Source: TV Report via Naver
1. [+2,627, -206] I thought they broke up on good terms... kind of a bit much for them to say this so directly like that ㅋㅋ
2. [+1,708, -60] I remember GO said a bunch of things about Lee Joon on Twitter.. doesn't really sound like they ended on good terms.
3. [+1,150, -63] I understand why they'd be upset at having to go without Lee Joon and Thunder..
4. [+900, -66] ㅋㅋ They're quite honest, aren't they. Fighting.
5. [+262, -18] That GO kid must really hate the members who left. You read the lyrics and he beats around the bush but the hate is still there ㅋ
6. [+253, -11] GO sounds like he was heavily betrayed by the other two... It would be better for him to keep those feelings to himself, however, at least for the future. He may be mad now but he might also regret saying all this later on. No matter how mad he is, it's never good to publicly expose a relationship like this. Just say positive things and stay quiet, better times will come in the future... that's what life is..
7. [+256, -18] However they feel, I understand.. but they should be more careful with their words. It makes them look desperate hanging on like this.
8. [+186, -9] ㅋㅋㅋ They don't even deny it, they admit to the diss... they must have a lot stored up inside.
9. [+189, -16] It doesn't seem fair that they talk about Lee Joon like this considering he waited to leave until his contracts expired and Lee Joon did everything expected of him within his contract term.
10. [+185, -19] Whether they ended on good terms or not, seems a bit much that they put down the members who left like this when they left because their contracts expired, fair and square
11. [+161, -19] Well you can't expect them to be comfortable about having two members leave... the article is biased
12. [+159, -26] I guess GO still has his hot temper. I remember he reprimanded his own fans for criticizing his company and now this time he's dissing his own members... Does he not think that attitudes like this have a fault in dismantling a team?
13. [+136, -15] MBLAQ only made it this far because of Lee Joon. They should be grateful for him, not blaming him for leaving. If they had debuted as a trio like this from the start, they would've failed, just like GO's old group.
14. [+116, -12] Sounds like they didn't end on good terms... the negative emotions are all still there. It's honestly no one's fault, I'm sure they're all at fault in their own ways...
15. [+102, -6] At the end of the day, people chose the paths best for them and I'm sure you can't expect everyone to be comfortable with that.

1. [+592, -54] It's not like they left mid-contract, they fulfilled their contracts and left when it expired, why rag on them for that, it's pathetic;;; it's not like they can live forever as MBLAQ and their company barely supported them and they saw no future, even I wouldn't want to stay ㅡㅡ
2. [+524, -48] We'll never what happened with their leave but either way, they fulfilled their contracts and waited for them to expire. I don't think it's right to openly diss them like this.
3. [+433, -40] They honestly sound pathetic...
4. [+46, -0] This makes me not like the three. I get that they can be upset but the other two fulfilled their contracts, it's not fair to talk about them like this. Well, I guess this is the reason the group never worked out.
5. [+43, -0] Come on, you guys were once friends... you should be blessing them to do well.Sources:
