On May 27′s episode of the variety show “Prodigy Discovery Unit” (working title), singer NS Yoon-G talks about her popularity at her high school in California and her potentially surprising interest.
The hosts say they heard NS Yoon-G was chosen as the homecoming queen at her high school, but they’re not sure what that means. “It’s like a popularity vote that’s done at high school once a year,” she explains. “I was the first Asian at my high school to be picked.”
“So you must have been really popular,” says host Kim Tae Gyun.
“But I really love sports and I’m not very feminine, so when men meet me in real life they’re usually disappointed,” she replies.
“I really like mixed martial arts,” she adds, which surprises all the hosts and guests.

AOA Jimin has been the center of attention since her appearance in “Unpretty Rapstar,” and she confessed that she now feels the heat of her popularity.
On the episode of MBC every1’s “Weekly Idol” aired on May 27, Secret’s Song Ji Eun and Zinger, and AOA’s Jimin and Choa appear as guests.
When Defconn asks Jimin, “We saw a different side of you through Mnet’s ‘Unpretty Rapstar.’ Do you feel your increasing popularity now?” she says, “They even notice me when I have no makeup on,” to express her gratitude. Defconn gives a witty response, saying, “It’s because you wear makeup but cry it all away.”
Zinger, too, compliments Jimin, saying, “I could tell that you tried to break through the stereotypes of being a girl group member.”
Meanwhile, this was the 200th episode of “Weekly Idol,” leading to a long line of well-known guests including Sistar, Secret, AOA, MONSTA X, Sonamoo, and N.Flying.

Group Shinhwa‘s leader Eric will be releasing his very first solo photo book.
The photo book, which will be released on June 11, will showcase Eric in various locations around Hong Kong. The theme of the photo shoot is said to be reminiscent of the Hong Kong noir style. Few images from the photo book have been released as teasers so far, with Eric looking dashing in stylish outfits.

Sistar to have end of June comeback

SISTAR will be making a summer comeback near the end of June. Well-known for their popular summer songs, the songstresses will be back to tantalize our ears during the hot summer. The producer of their upcoming summer song is Duble Sidekick who previously worked with them with songs “Give It To Me,” “Loving U,” and “I Swear.”

Actor Song Joong Ki was recently discharged from the army, and he had the chance to talk about his experiences in the military at the press conference held at his discharge ceremony.“I’m overwhelmed at seeing so many cameras like this after such a long time,” he says to reporters. “Thank you so much for coming all this way.” He then salutes to the huge crowd of ecstatic fans who came to see him.
“What has changed about you during your time in the army?” asks the interviewer.
“The biggest change for me was transforming from a twenty-something into a thirty-something,” he says with a laugh. “Also… I’ve just unconsciously got my hands folded behind my back, that’s definitely a change.”
“I think I’ve become a bit more fit,” he adds seriously. But then he laughs again as he jokes, “The reason being that I was in the army with relatively younger guys, and I hated to lose to them in terms of physical strength.”

Song Joong Ki, who was just recently discharged from the military, is already back in the thick of things, with his first script reading for the upcoming KBS drama “The Descendant of the Sun,” also starring Song Hye Kyo.
According to a source who was at the reading, “Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo showed great chemistry, and it was a lot of fun. The actors suit their roles extremely well.”
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo play special forces soldier Yoo Shi Jin and doctor Kang Mo Yeon, respectively.
The reading was sought out by more press than usual, evidencing the sheer level of interest for this drama, being Song Joong Ki’s comeback drama, in which he is accompanied by A-list actress Song Hye Kyo.
Moreover, the drama is penned by “The Heirs” writer Kim Eun Sook and directed by Lee Eung Bok, who was at the megaphone for “Secret.”

“Superstar K2” contestant Jang Jae In will be making her anticipated comeback after three years this summer!
The talented singer is reportedly preparing for the release of her new album in June. This will mark her first album after joining Mystic Entertainment in December 2013, as well as the end of her three-year hiatus.
Jang Jae In previously hinted at her comeback during a recent interview, saying, “My album will come out sometime this year. I’m not sure about the exact date, but as it will be my first release in a while, we are thinking of an album instead of a single.” She also told fans to look forward to her comeback, and that she is working hard with excellent professionals to make everything worth the wait.
Meanwhile, Jang Jae In had to halt her music activities in 2012 due to her fight against dystonia, a muscle disorder.
