Singer K.Will will be making a comeback soon his fifth mini album, and it has been announced ahead that actor Park Min Woo and K.Will’s labelmate Soyou will be starring in the singer’s music video!
Park Min Woo is this year’s rising star, getting a lot of recognition for his appearance on the SBS variety show “Roommate.” Following this is his appearance as the male lead in K.Will’s music video for title track “Day 1 .”
SISTAR’s Soyou is also starring in the music video, and judging from the outfits of both Park Min Woo and Soyou, the story will take place at high school. With such a setting and while nothing has specifically been revealed about the title track’s theme, the song is likely to be about sweet first love. Can’t wait to see the chemistry between the two, as well as hear K.Will’s voice!
K.Will’s new album drops June 26. His first comeback stage will be through KBS’ “Music Bank” on June 27.

On the June 22 broadcast of SBS’ variety program “Roommate,” After School’s Nana confessed, “I thought I was putting in effort, but people would say ‘She’s showing off,’ whenever I show aegyo or try to brighten up the atmosphere,” during a conversation with actress Hong Soo Hyun.
Nana continued, “Even I think it might be hard to get used to the way I am, but there are so many negative responses saying things like, ‘Why is she like that?’ I normally don’t pay attention to [netizen] comments, but after appearing on ‘Roommate’ and ‘Style Log,’ at the same time, I’ve started to worry [about it]. I’m becoming more timid.”

JYP Entertainment was met with a financial shock today after its stock prices dropped following the arrest of Park Jin Young’s father-in-law.
Trouble first started for JYP Entertainment after the Sewol Ferry tragedy on April 16. Yoo Byeong Eon is the de facto owner of Cheonghaejin Marine, the operator of the Sewol ferry, and after the tragedy, Yoo, his family, and related businesses started to receive suspicion and were investigated for corruption. Park Jin Young, the founder of JYP Entertainment and its largest stockholder, is married to the niece of Yoo Byeong Eun, and rumors started to spread of suspicious financial connections between the Yoo family and JYP. When suspicions were raised of several hundred million KRW leaking into JYP Entertainment through Yoo Byeong Eon’s younger brother (Park Jin Young’s father-in-law), Yoo Byeong Ho, the Financial Supervisory Service began investigating account activities of the company in late April. JYP has denied receiving any illegal funds.
Such suspicious and investigations lead to a continuous drop in stock prices for the entertainment company, and the arrest of Yoo Byeong Ho on June 22 on suspicion of embezzlement dealt another blow. Following the arrest, JYP Ent.’s stock prices dropped 3.49% to a low of 4285 KRW (~4.20 USD) around 11 AM of June 23. In early April before the Sewol tragedy, stocks were valued between 5-6.00 USD.
So far, Yoo Byeong Eon’s wife, his younger sister and her husband, and his younger and older brother have been arrested for various charges. Yoo Byeong Eon still evades arrest for more than a month, wanted on charges of embezzlement, negligence and tax evasion.

K-Pop’s most powerful label and producer, SM Entertainment, has been ordered to pay an additional 10.2 billion KRW in corporate taxes following a tax audit into the company by the National Tax Service earlier in March.
In a official press release today, SM Entertainment explained that the 10.2 billion KRW (~10 million USD) additional tax payment is due to the foreign tax payment credit difference for SM Entertainment Japan. In an effort to appease concerns over such a large withdrawal of money from the company funds, SM Entertainment stated that it is seeing this as an opportunity, rather than a burden, to create a more stable global business in the future. “Through this tax audit, we will continue to build our company, the foremost entertainment company in Korea, as a transparent and exemplary business.”
SM Entertainment also emphasized that this tax audit revealed there was no tax evasion on the part of the company in regards to their overseas business and income from concerts. It was also found that there was no support for suspicions regarding SM Entertainment’s overseas real estate.

July HUGE Comebacks, Are You Ready?

July promises to be a month full of exciting comebacks for fans of K-pop, with the biggest boy bands and girl groups around set to release new material.
Music veterans g.o.d will release more music, following on from the success of the group’s recent release “The Lone Duckling.” Another big-hitting act, three-piece JYJ, will also release a mini album, expected to be their last before member Jaejoong begins his period of military service. Indeed, JYJ has already begun promoting their newest release, with a 17-second video teaser with a caption promising “The Return of the King.”
Fans of girl groups have just as much to look forward to in July, also. SM Entertainment’s f(x) will also release their first new material since last year’s studio album, “Pink Tape.” SISTAR, whose members have enjoyed considerable success with a variety of solo music and drama projects, will also release a follow-up to last year’s smash “Give it to Me.” Also joining the July comeback rush will be Girl’s Day, who will make a much-awaited follow-up to the hit “Something,” which lit up the charts in January this year.
UPDATE: Original article stated that BIGBANG was also confirmed for a July comeback, instead of just a summer comeback.

EXO member Lay will be take a shot at being an MC for the very first time on a music show in China!
On June 19, Chinese program “Music Billboard Charts” posted pictures of Lay’s appearance as a special temporary MC through their official Weibo, and described it as a great success.
Another photo of Lay cooking in a kitchen was also revealed, raising fans’ curiosity for what will happen on the broadcast. According to local media, Lay personally cooked up a complicated dish made out of crucian carp for the staff members during a segment that took place in the kitchen.

Boy group HALO, who will be debuting on June 26, released a group teaser photo through their official Twitter account.
In the teaser photo, each group member is dressed up in different outfits, reflecting on their images in the group.
The six members are holding signs with their names, birthdays, and letters on each of them. The letters spell out the title of their debut single, "High Body Temperature".
HALO’s debut single "High Body Temperature" is going to be an addicting song that sings about the passion of the young generation in their twenties.
HALO is a six member boy group consisting of members Ooon, Inhaeng, Jaeyong, Heecheon, Yoon Dong and Dino. Their debut album 38 Degrees will be released on June 26.

Sera of Nine Muses has just announced that with the expiry of her contract, she will be departing from the group and their company, Star Empire Entertainment. Sera is the only member who will be "graduating" from the group. Star Empire Entertainment has just made a statement saying: "We do not know the details of Sera's future activities, but we respect and support her decision to make a new start."
With Sera's graduation, Star Empire Entertainment has also stated that they have plans to recruit a new member for Nine Muses for their August comeback.

Fly to the Sky guested on the June 21’s radio broadcast of SBS Power FM’s A Night Like Tonight. DJ Jung Sun Hee started, “Your album already became successful, so let’s talk openly with the feel of congratulating you guys.”
Having close connections with the group, Jung Sun Hee asked, “You’re at the age to think about marriage. If you guys were to recommend a spouse for each other, who would you recommend?”
Then Hwanhee, without hesitation, answered G.Na. He said, “I saw them together, and they look so good. I think they will be able to be together for a long time.”
Brian then jokingly added, “G.Na is one of the junior singers that I’m close to in the English circle. She often says that she wants to marry early so I asked her to marry me as a joke but she only said, ‘I can’t marry you, because you’re too much like an unnie (older sister).’”

Clazziquai is planning on their comeback on the tenth anniversary of their debut.
A representative from Fluxus Music told News1, “Clazziquai plans to release a new single album this July or August. The production of the single is being taken care of by member Clazzi, while the plans for shooting the music video and scheduling live music show appearances have yet to be finalized.”
The representative went on to say, “The exact time of release has yet to also be decided upon, since the album is still a work in progress. Female vocalist, Christina will not be participating in the recording of this album at this time.”
In related news, Clazziquai released their first album, “Instant Pig” back in 2004 and will be releasing their 6th album after releasing, “Blessed” last year.

Actor Jang Hyun Sung has decided to step down from the popular KBS variety program, “Superman Returns“.
On June 24, Jang Hyun Sung’s agency, YG Entertainment, announced that the actor will be stepping down from the program, with the June 29 broadcast being the family’s last appearance on the show. He has decided to leave “Superman Returns” to focus on his job as an actor.
After joining the program in September, Jang Hyun Sung and his sons Jang Jun Woo and Jang Jun Seo have won over the hearts of numerous viewers who fell for their genuine and loving father-son relationship.
Jang Hyung Sung also announced, “The kids have grown up a lot and need to focus on their studies, while I have to concentrate on my real profession as an actor. I am so thankful for the love and I will try my best to repay the support with good performances.”
Jang Hyun Sung is currently shooting “Ceci Bon” as Lee Jang Hee. He will also be shooting a movie called “Love Wins” as a main character.
Jang Hyun Sung and the Jun Jun brothers will be dearly missed!

We will get to listen to Ulala Session and IU singing together in a new duet.
According to the officials, Ulala Session and IU will release an unpublished duet at the end of this month. It was said that the song was recorded back in 2012. In particular, their late member Lim Yoon Taek who was battled with cancer back then also participated in the recording and showed his enthusiasm in music.
Ulala Session was the winner of Mnet's 'Super Star K3' in 2011. Their leader Lim Yoon Taek who passed away after struggling with stomach cancer in February last year. The other members are still currently active in the music industry.

On episode 7 of tvN drama ‘Flower Grandpa Investigation Team’ which aired on 20th June, L.Joe appeared as Uhm Siwoo, the first witness to the crime scene and the high school student which gave them a very important lead.
Appearing in a school uniform, though it was the first time L.Joe had tried out acting, he delivered his lines precisely and realistically acted out a rebellious high school student. Usually idols who start acting tend to be awkward while delivering their lines but L.Joe in comparison had stability while acting which makes us look forward to his future as an acting-idol
