podcasts are great theres so many different kinds out there. maybe you can make one just talking about t-ara, you can call it "just talking about t-ara"
I think the moment I may have realised that I am too invested in this community was when I listened to this whole thing without taking a break. I am not a podcast person AT ALL but I really thought this was a nice first episode. You guys had some nice ~chemistry~ going on there, which is the most important thing. Looking forward to the next one. :) (Also yay for that European representation. ;D)
Sorry my voice is wrecked :( This was recorded the day after I returned from Vegas, and I had just watched the USA vs Ghana game two days before and got rowdy. :(
Thank you again everyone who is listening though and showing interest and feed back! It really means a lot to me to be involved in this project and I'm happy for any and all feed back!
You all have nice voices which makes it easy to listen to the podcast :) Ashe, I think you are doing a great job at directing the conversation too ^^ When did you record this though? Because people in the post pointed out that Dongwoon didn't criticize the pic as too dark, it was Kim Gura.
Just started listening to it! Am at the part where you guys are making introductions and I cant stop smiling. You're all soo cute! Thank youl! This is really awesome. :)
Yep I'm Shannon ^__^ and thank you so much for the compliment. Don't you worry tho I'm a chatty Kathy I'm sure your hear more from my big mouth in the future haha
BTW AOA (AOA black actually) only had one band song (Moya) "Get Out" and "Elvis" were hybrid song and Moya actually got them their first "first place" on chart
The real problem is that the sub-unit released the mini not the actual group. Having the dance unit promote would have been fine if the mini had at least 1 or 2 band or hybrid song and if Brave Bro wasn't so much into recycling. It's very green of him but very boring too
I saw that Moya actually got them number one, but didn't win on any shows correct? As an international fan I only really remember show wins I won't lie, and even then I religiously forget that Mblaq has actually gotten first on mcountdown before. My fault though there, but I still kinda stand by my point.
My issue is that AoA's band isn't, and was never the main focus of their group. It wasn't as if they came in like CNBLUE and then decided to be a girl group, they were a girl group that had a band subunit. Should their band subunit get more time? Yeah I totally agree they should get time, but I don't think we'll ever see the focus, or would have ever seen the focus anyways, completely shift to the band. Let AOA Black have another mini album, let them even rehash all the hit songs into their band concept that's fine, but giving up on the rising success of AoA so that they can do a band thing seems like a bad business move? I'm strictly speaking for songs you choice to promote by the way, when it comes to full group Mini albums or full albums I def agree there should be 1 or 2 band/hybrid songs.
That's just my opinion I dunno if that clears it up better than I voiced on the podcast? I was a little loopy because Vegas was something else haha.
Miniskirt got them their first and only win but most people agree that Brave Bro + short skirt + beautiful won, not the song itself which is catchy but pretty basic.
And actually no, they are/were not a girl group that had a band subunit. They are/were always an hybrid group with 3 subunit: - AOA black (band unit) - AOA white (visual unit) - AOA dance unit (7 girls)
The whole point was to have the song performed by either the band or the dance unit. "Elvis" (their first song) actually had 2 MV, one with all 8 of them (AOA) and one band MV (AOA black). "Get ou"t, the second release, had 1 MV with all 8 of the girls so again it was AOA. As for music show they either performed as a dance unit or as a band, that was the point and that was FNC marketing stretegy, to have an hybrid group. As such the Dance unit (7 girls) is as much a subunit as AOA black.
Which is basically why the fans are upset: Why is a sub-unit getting more time, MV, money than the actual group.
I get that this is confusing for non-fans, but the Dance Unit is not the group, it's just a sub-unit.
