Spica Fighting for No. 1 Spot for the First Time since Debut
Five-member girl group Spica debuted two years ago in 2012, and for the first time, the group is finding itself in the running for the number 1 spot on music programs.
They will be up against Girl’s Day’s (“Something”) and AOA (“Miniskirt”) in a battle of the rising girl groups.
Spica’s agency, B2M Entertainment, stated, “Spica’s members were moved to tears when they found out that they were candidates for the Inkigayo trophy. Their two years of effort has finally paid off.”
“Regardless of whether they win on Inkigayo or not, we would like to thank fans just for giving them the chance to be number 1 candidates.”
Spica’s “You Don’t Love Me” was written by label mate, singer Lee Hyori, and is a track heavily influenced by soul music of the 1960s. The song’s melody, strong brass notes combined with Spica’s powerful voices create a fun retro-flavored track. Its lyrics express a female’s disappointment when her man choosing reason over love, eventually leading to their breakup.
“You Don’t Love Me” rose to the number one spot on music charts soon after its release at the end of January. Spica has been delivering confident and sassy performances since their comeback last week with spot-on vocals, but will they be able to triumph this weekend on Inkigayo? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Sorry for all the conflicting info about SNS voting for Inkigayo in the previous post/on Twitter ;; Most of us running fanbases have little to no experience with music show voting systems so we're kinda just getting bits and pieces of info from other fandoms and crossing our fingers that we're doing the right thing.

It was the first time for Spica and AOA to be a front-runner for the No. 1 spot since their debut two years ago.
Spica debuted in January of 2012. In January 2014, they made a comeback with their new track, “You Don’t Love Me,” composed by Lee Hyori. This is the first time Spica has been nominated for the No. 1 spot since their debut. The members of Spica were honored just from being nominated as they shed tears of joy when they heard the news.

Yoo Ah In has just began filming for his upcoming JTBC drama “Secret Love Affair.”
The actor looks like a gentleman with his sporty hair cut and pleasant smile. He styles in casual clothing with jeans, hoodie and jacket. Sources related to the drama reported that the actor has a good and close relationship with the staff, and that the new drama will show a new side of the actor.
For the upcoming drama “Secret Love Affair,” Yoo Ah In will play the role of a talented pianist who begins an affair with an older woman in her 40′s played by actress Kim Hee Ae. The drama will air in March and will take up the time slot currently occupied by the JTBC’s drama “Can We Love.”

There are artists whose songs you want to download even without hearing a preview, and based on her recent success,Sistar‘s Soyou is quickly becoming one of them.
Most recently, Soyou paired up with singer Junggigo and rapper Lilboy of Geeks, and the highly anticipated collaboration track “Some” hit the online stores on February 7. The track immediately swept the charts, placing first on ten online music stores. It was also able to snatch the number one spot from Disney film “Frozen” OST’s “Let It Go,” which dominated the charts until the release of “Some.”
“Some” has been produced by a K-pop dream team consisting of Kim Do Hoon, Min Yeon Jae, and Zanybros. The track is the second collaboration project of Starship X.
This is not the first time Soyou has topped the charts with a collaboration track. Last year, she teamed up with rapper Mad Clown, who gained much popularity through MNet’s “Show Me the Money 2,” and released the emotional “Stupid in Love.” The song became a huge success, and even earned the duo a trophy on “Music Core.”
Soyou is currently promoting “Some” on music shows with Junggigo, and she also stars on JTBC’s variety show “The Great Marriage.”

In the early days of 2012, Jesse Roberts got a call from the Los Angeles-based production company Ozcam, asking if he would be interested in filming music videos for K-pop superstars Big Bang's singles "Blue" and "Bad Boy" over the course of what would end up being a four-day shoot.
"I had worked on a shoot for a Korean miniseries called 'The Lobbyist,'" Robert said.
"It was like '24' over in Korea. My assistant from that show was a producer for Ozcam. Big Bang's management had contacted them. They needed someone to handle the production."
Four years earlier, Roberts had teamed up with his college friend Justin Noto to found Agon Creative, a video production company based in Brooklyn and Los Angeles, specializing in short-form content.
Although the Big Bang shoot would be more high-profile than anything the company had done up to that point, Roberts knew they were up to the task.
He set about assembling the most skilled team of people he could find.
"Our production manager had just shot the Madonna video for "Give Me All Your Luvin'" [featuring M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj] the week before," Roberts recalled."Our assistant director is Jay-Z and Beyonce's first AD for all of their music videos shot in New York. We pulled in a top crew for this one."
While Roberts, Noto and the Agon Creative team scouted over 50 locations to find the seven that ended up being used in the videos, they began receiving storyboards and lyrical translations of "Bad Boy" and "Blue," along with notes from Big Bang on what they were looking for in the look, feel and casting of the video.
Yet according to Noto, the kind of gritty New York City exteriors that the band was looking for don't really exist anymore.
"They were interested in a look that seemed like the drudges of New York, the old 1970s feel," he said. "But the city has been cleaned up a lot since it was like that. So it was a challenge to find places with that iconic, rundown Brooklyn type of feel."

Four-member girl group Stellar (Hyo Eun, Min Hee, Ga Young, Jun Yool) is back with a sexy concept, and on February 10, Top Class Entertainment released individual cuts of the members for their upcoming first mini album, “Marionette.” In the photos, the members are each wearing revealing outfits and striking various poses: on a bed, reading a book, doing makeup, etc.
“Marionette” will be available starting February 12, and Stellar will begin their album promotions February 13 on Mnet‘s “M!Countdown.” Check out the members’ individual teaser photos below!
