I just saw Jonghyun and Taeyeon's on tumblr and was waiting for someone to post it. I actually like Changmin/Krystal's version better??????????????? I wasn't expecting that at all. Maybe they should have switched partners so it was Taeyeon/Changmin and Krystal/Jonghyun

I kinda wish the partners were switched as I like krystal's voice more but I guess you need that high-low thing to offset each other. I can't wait to see the live performance of this regardless

Just listened to the Chinese ver and although I adore jonghyun, the way the male and female voices compliment each other is beautiful so I gotta give it up to the Chinese ver. To me, it is the best version.

I have effectively been slayed by all three versions

jjong / taeyeon's was unbelievably lovely and just a straight up vocal masterclass

changmin / krystal's was surprisingly on point, and Krystal especially show that she can truly sing and deserves her spot

CHEN / ZLY .......... Y'ALL CAN JUST GO HOME NOW, IT WINS EVERYTHING, MY GOD O_O

I think Chen's pronunciation has really improved in the last few months. His pronunciation was great in "Miracles in December". If we go by how long ago Jonghyun recorded this and assume Chen recorded his vocals at the same time, it makes sense why Chen doesn't sound as good here.

i love zhang liyin with all my heart, but this song is effing boring. my god, it's basically "i will" 2.0. the longer she stays at SM, the more boring ballads she's going to sing.
but i guess at least that zhang liyin and chen gave some life to this song. to the otherwise BORING TRIO OF SONGS. the japanese and korean versions were so boring, gah.

IDK, I think her voice really suit ballad songs. She got a powerful voice, why waste it on generic pop songs where everyone with singing lesson can sing? With ballad songs, it can truly show her techniques, range and voice control.

The Chinese version slayed. Chen's voice is so good and the voices really complemented each other. The song is boring, but their voices managed to make it more interesting. I can't comment on Chen's pronunciation since I don't speak Chinese but it's known that he need's to work on it. However, vocally he's near perfect

Chen and ZIL worked well the best, or maybe because home girl was not a complete bore vocally. I don't care for Chen but he sounded nice.
The Korean version was aight...I honestly forgot I was listening to it until it went off. Jjong and Tae are not good partners (despite sounding nice together). It's like Jonghyun can be at a 10 while Taeyeon is sitting at a smooth 6-7. I like her voice, I don't like her as a singer.
The Japanese version...they really should have just gotten Luna to do it. Like not to be one of those people, but what's the point of doing a ballad where you got to show off some vocal skills when you obviously ain't it. And shiii, ballads are Luna's shining point. And I really dislike Changmin's voice.
But yeah this is one boring ass ballad and I am mad they thought three versions of it was a good idea.
