Mexician News About U-Kiss

Last night wrapped up the extremely successful South and Latin American leg of the U-Kiss tour. The group performed in Columbia and Peru, but saved Mexico for their last stop… a country which has been waiting a long time for Kpop!

After arriving in Mexico, the group took the time to tour local pyramids and get a taste of the Mexican culture. The members posted plenty of pictures as they were out sight seeing and tweeted some of them to fans.

On Friday morning, the group held a press conference at the historic Camino Real Polanco Hotel in downtown Mexico City. Despite the language barrier, the members were very at ease and friendly with the many reporters and photographers who turned out for the event. Junsu of JYJ was the first Korean artist to perform in Mexico in 2012, making U-Kiss only the 2nd Kpop artist to ever give a concert in Mexico and very first idol group to do so.

GUESS WHO'S THE RICHEST CELEBRITY IN SOUTH KOREA (Clue: Not Oppar or Unnir)

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the richest celebrity of them all? Yes it is becoming clear now and the answer is firm. YG‘s charismatic CEO, Yang Hyun Suk, is the richest celebrity, but how much is he actually worth and how much is that using my patented “Corn Cob-o-meter” counting system?

In a recent list of top 400 millionaires published by the millionaire tracking site Chaebul.com, Samsung CEO Lee Kun Hee topped the list with personal assets totalling approximately 13 Trillion Korean Won (KRW) or roughly 11 Billion U.S. Dollar (USD). YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk was also on this list, and he has the honour of being the richest person in all of the entertainment industry with personal assets totalling KRW 219 Billion or once again roughly USD 193 million. A lot of this can be attributed to the rising stock prices of YG Entertainment buoyed by the success of PSY in the global market.

Further down the list comes SM CEO Lee Soo Man with a paltry(?) KRW 193 Billion/USD 170 Million, Senior Actor and honorary CEO of Jeju Free International City Broadcasting System Shin Yong Kyun with KRW 148 Billion/USD 130 Million, and lastly Seoul Cinema CEO Kwak Jung Hwan with KRW 79 Billion/USD 69 Million. These figures were derived by counting amount of shares held by each individual, dividends, real estate assets, and other tangible assets, while excluding certain unconfirmed assets like jewellery or art works.

But you know these are just such big numbers that it is kind of hard to appreciate just how much this really is. This is where my patented “Corn Cob-o-meter” counting system comes into play. Using a dash of math, some Google wizardry, and a bit of image editing, we can determine just how many corn cobs Yang Hyun Suk could buy if he was to exchange the whole of his personal assets into corn cobs.

Hong Ki to release a book on nail art

F.T. Island's Hongki is quite the enthusiast when it comes to nail art, as his fans know, so it probably comes as no surprise that he'll soon become the first male celebrity in Korea to release a nail art book!

Not only is this book his first solo publishing since his debut, it's also on a subject that not many touch - men's nail art. However, there are bound to be tips in that girls can learn  from as well!

His label commented, "He's going to be revealing his own nail art design and philosophy through the book. He'll also be talking about the various episodes, such as how he got to communicate through nail art with fans, as well as the nail art he designed for fans."

The book will be released on the 12th in both Korea and Japan, so if you're into nail art, or you're just eager for anything Hongki related, pick up a copy!

After all the speculation about Lee Hyori and her three-year boyfriend Lee Sang Soon's upcoming marriage, Lee Hyori herself has stepped up to confirm that the rumors are true.

On July 4 KST, she posted to her official fan cafe: "If I start with the conclusion, it's true that I'm getting married. We've discussed that we'd like to have our wedding around September, but we haven't officially told our parents yet."

Lee Hyori continued, "We haven't had a formal family meeting, prepared wedding invitations, or anything else so far. I needed time yesterday and today to decide how to tell everyone," explaining why she stayed silent about the issue for a while.

The MV is really cute, but the song is really dramatic so there's kind of a mismatch. I guess that was kind of the point, but idk if they really executed it well because the "twist" was spelled out pretty obviously (to me, anyway? I'm curious what other people think.) Overall I really like the storyline of the MV though! I believe the actress in the MV is one of the members of Bella. And Tey is one of my biases but too much Tey in the MV considering Tey was the main character in their last MV ~_~

Proving to be quite the fanboy, SHINee’s Jonghyun said that he likes Girl’s Day on the radio.

On July 3’s broadcast of MBC FM’s Shindong’s Shimshimtapa,, Girl’s Day appeared as guests, singing Female President live on the radio.

Following the live performance, Girl’s Day sat down with Shindong to read some of the comments left by the fans. To everyone’s shock, Jonghyun had also left a comment, saying that he’s listening to the radio, unable to detach himself from the car in the parking lot.

Shindong read that Jonghyun especially likes Yura, who sings live very well, leaving Yura very touched and emotional as she thanked her sunbae for the supportive message.

Girl’s Day later chose a few fans to give autographed CDs and the members made sure to give Jonghyun a copy.

Jonghyun continued to leave messages on the radio forum, expressing his excitement at receiving an autographed copy of Girl’s Day album. Shindong eventually had to tell Jonghyun to hurry up and go home.
