The MV is really cute, but the song is really dramatic so there's kind of a mismatch. I guess that was kind of the point, but idk if they really executed it well because the "twist" was spelled out pretty obviously (to me, anyway? I'm curious what other people think.) Overall I really like the storyline of the MV though! I believe the actress in the MV is one of the members of Bella. And Tey is one of my biases but too much Tey in the MV considering Tey was the main character in their last MV ~_~

Ngl after seeing the MV before it got deleted I was kinda hoping they'd edit the cutesy bit at the end out, it was so random lol. But yeah the song did not match the MV at all. Having said that I LOVE the song, not even going to harp about the lack of Changjae and Doyeon because it's to be expected. They could have given either one of them the acting role to make up for a lack of screen time though :c And no to Tey's shorts though I do appreciate the lack of a shirt.

Aww July 8 seems so far away! Can't wait to see them on music shows too :D

I think Changjae and Doyeon are supposed to have most of the falsetto/soft lines, so technically it's an upgrade! Even if they're probably just going to be lipsynching to backtrack it will be nice for them to have more screentime during performances.

I think it's funny that they keep making Tey the lead. I guess maybe it's because he has the most public recognition as the Yoo Ah In look a like? Because Changjae and Doyeon are the basically useless ones who are there for their looks so you'd think they'd use one of them. And Changjae has said that he'd like to go into acting :\

But I rather like Tey's shorts :P

I'm all for more screen time, they always blended in with the backup dancers during Highway. And I hope they perform this on radio shows where it's easier to distinguish who's singing what.

I remember Changjae saying that too! I mean his skills are still unknown but surely he's good enough for their own MV at least.

I think I would have liked it if they were more fitting or lose the socks because he looks like he has nice legs tbh lol.

Exo's styling is so bad, the yellow outfits were atrocious D: I think I just expected more ~sleek outfits for Mr.Mr kinda like in the walking scenes.

I don't know how many people actually went. I feel like I remember reading a number before but I must have been hallucinating because when I went back to check it wasn't there >_< Based on the fancams there weren't even that many people in the (tiny) venue though...

Going OT again lol idk if you follow Excite but I was looking for info which may hint at a comeback for my sister (they've been promoting the same song forever...) and found out they started a kickstarter type thing to fund their second album and only raised 3% of their goal amount in 2 months so I don't feel too bad about Mr.Mr and many other nugus who've had at least 2 comebacks. But damn their company must have failed on epic proportions to promote the funding thing because only 20 people donated.

I'm still impressed with how many music broadcasts MR.MR got to go on when they were promoting for Highway, so the company must have... something? I mean, their company was recently acquired by Winning Insight so I doubt their finances were doing well, but maybe they're just really good at lobbying for their artists :\ MR.MR's fancafe numbers are steadily rising and they're pretty high as it is for being from a nugu company. I'm not worried quite yet >_< (btw looking at fancafe numbers for some of these nugu groups is seriously depressing...)

Me too, it seemed like they consistently got to promote on the major music shows and I hope they get to do the same with this comeback even with the competition.

Yeah their fancafe numbers aren't too far off from C-Clown's (whose numbers I expected to be higher). I just hope the members get to go on more variety shows, I think Dream Team would be a good start (plus changjae's already been on). Oh and knock on wood but no member changes please (though that seems unlikely)!!

I read that Changjae is going to be on Dream Team again, actually. It's just a solo appearance like before, but hopefully that will open some doors for the group~ I do hope that they can be on some variety shows or even some regular radio show spots.

Even though Bella (from the same company) had a member change, I'm not super worried about MR.MR having member changes. I'm more worried about them being shipped off to Japan, never to be heard from again ~_~

They should do what 100% do and have the whole group go on to cheer for the member(s) participating. But OMG I'm so excited. DT's one of the few shows I watch regularly so I can't wait to see him on.

If their company was smart they wouldn't send them off to Japan. It made sense for Cross Gene since they have Japanese members and a fanbase there which they can depend on if they don't make it in Korea (which unfortunately is unlikely) but it's too risky for Mr.Mr

Okay sleep awaits but it was nice talking to you (I literally have nobody other than my sister to share my nugu love with haha)! :D

I don't know if they'll actually send them off but they've been dipping their toes in the water~ They were hosts for some music show a little while ago, so I'd say Japan is interested in them a bit at least.

ahhhh so wonderful. Mr.Mr is one of my (many) favorite 2012 groups. I am pleased by this song. Hopefully they'll release the album on iTunes so I can actually get Highway. v.v Or Soribada or something if I have to.

And I'm guessing the thing about Tey is he's probably the only one who can act. xD This is why Junhyung was generally always the "actor" in Beast music videos.

tbh I don't really think Tey is a good actor :x I don't know if any of the other members are any better, but Changjae has said that he's interested in going into acting, so I'm guessing maybe he can? I don't think they would use him as the lead though because he's not very popular among the fans :\

Tey has a sort of Yoo Ah In thing going for him. He's definitely the most conventionally attractive by Korean standards, I think. But, yeah. The two not-vocal line members of Mr.Mr just don't stand out as much and it's not just about screen time. I'm not surprised they're less popular. Like, Baro in B1A4 gets a lot of the acting parts in their MVs even though he's hilarious looking, but he's also extremely charismatic and stands out a lot.

I admit I don't actually know the non-vocal line members. >.> Like, I don't recognize them, or put their names to their faces. I like Tey, Jin and Ryu quite a lot and pretty equally, though.

Yeah I think Tey looks the most like an actor in the group (obv since he looks like Yoo Ah In) so that's a big factor. Doyeon is good looking but in more of a pretty way. He's the only one in the group with double eyelids :O And Changjae is good looking but not in a striking way. He's more of the boy-next-door good looking (it's funny that I thought of that because it's part of his regular introduction: the good-natured oppa next door, Changjae)

And I understand why people don't like them as much, but it still makes me sad ;~; imo they haven't really had an opportunity to stand out, considering so far they've each had only one or two lines in their songs.

Changjae is the funny/talkative one and tbh he's my least favorite member but he seems like a fun guy. He's also pretty good at singing, I just think he doesn't get that many lines because he has a lisp :\

And Doyeon is my favorite member so sorry for all my blabbering XD He's supposed to be the "chic" member but he's actually really cute;; He seems really sleepy most of the time XD He plays guitar and he can break dance. He's not on the same level as the other members with singing, but he can hold a tune well enough.

I think part of the problem with those two is that... they're sort of filler. Very nice filler! But there's nothing to, like. Immediately distinguish themselves. Since the entire group is tall they're not "the tall one" (like Sungyeol in Infinite), neither of them is the maknae where you often get the semi-useless members of groups that are still popular (like Gongchan in B1A4). I think they both have deeper singing voiecs, along with not being as technical? Which also isn't as popular in boy groups. And looks-wise, they're both... very ordinary looking. Good looking! But they really do look like a guy you could just bump into in the street which is not what middle school Korean girls want in their idols. And both of them also seem to have a little wider noses/nostrils? Which is also not as "attractive".

(Doyeon reminds me of a cross between K.Will and Taemin, btw. Just without the self-assurance of either of them, which doesn't help him stand out. :x He is very pretty, though. Just not... in a popular way.)

They both had a little more screen time in the first MV (I went and watched them all), and then I'm guessing since they didn't get as much attention they've gotten less in the next two since they're not what's making the group popular.

I hope the people responsible can figure out a way that they can stand out a little more so they don't stay being glorified backup dancers.

Yeah, I think part of the problem is also that they're aware that they're filler and that they're not popular, so obviously that's kind of bad for their self confidence :\ Changjae is still pretty outgoing, but Doyeon kind of draws back. Changjae also has the advantage of being good at talking. He's good at MCing and he's the only member who's been on a "real" variety show. So I think he will become more popular in the future, if not with the fans, then with the public. Doyeon on the other hand...idk what will happen with him but as long as he stays in the group it doesn't really bother me that much. Every group has to have a least popular member. I think he will eventually find more of a niche and become more comfortable. :3 Especially as they get to go on more shows and fans start to make decisions based less on the performances and more on personalities.

Yeah, it's really hard to keep your confidence up when you know you're the least popular. ._. I know I've read/seen other groups where that caused a lot of tension and it's just really sad, because a lot of times it's something they really had nothing to do with.

Oh well~ We'll just have to see.

Yeah, I was really confused by the MV at first, but the whole plot is that Tey (the main character) and his girlfriend get into a fight before they're about to get married. She doesn't show up because she got a flat tire and couldn't fix it, so she decided to walk/run to the venue. She left her phone at home so she doesn't answer when he calls and he goes looking for her. Meanwhile, she arrives at the venue and there's no one there so she decides to go to sleep because all the running tired her out. Tey gets to their home and discovers she left her phone at home and that's why she wasn't answering his calls. He guesses maybe they missed each other so he heads back to the venue and finds her there sleeping. Then they have a cake and they are happy. Whoo. I think the MV combined with the song is trying to mislead the viewer into thinking that she's leaving him, which is what makes it kind of confusing in the end.

I still don't understand why those two guys with two-syllable names never get lines considering one of them clearly has the best most interesting voice in all of MR.MR (Doyeon). :| And yes I'm basing that on one line in Highway but whatever.

Otherwise I really like this song. :) The MVs that came out today are mostly pretty decent songs.

lol Doyeon is really shaky actually. This is his solo in MR.MR's mini concert. He's pretty okay but he kept messing up with his guitar playing and distracting himself from his singing. He seems like he has a really small range though.



And Changjae needs some practice and training but he actually has a pretty strong voice. Like here at 2:15



He also has a pretty strong/significant lisp.

Changjae is really good! He does need it but he's good. His voice is really interesting too--more interesting than the other two's at least. His lisp is disturbing but kind of cute.

Doyeon tries really hard to be the "chic" one in the group but he usually just ends up looking sleepy and adorable. XD

Late to the party but I just wanted to say that I really like the new title track <3 I was prepared to be underwhelmed but it's actually a pretty good song, especially the chorus! It's also great that they've included their two previous singles on the mini album, I think I'm going to buy it just for Highway ^^;
