Sooyoung is featured in the cover story for the 29th issue of “1st Look” magazine. In addition to a stylish photo shoot, Sooyoung took part in an interview where she discussed life, fashion, and becoming an actress in a drama.

Sooyoung has been going between being a singer and an MC while also making her place as an actress with the character named “Lee Euijin” in tvN’s “The 3rd Hospital”. In front of my eyes, she is talking about the lives of “Euijin” and “Sooyoung” in a soft, calm voice, while at this exact moment she has filled this studio as the muse for designer Song Jain’s “J.Lite” line.

Pesticide-like drama tvN <Reply 1997>

KBS2 <Dream High> left the popular expression ‘pesticide-like girl’. Go Hyemi (Suzy) kept on complaining since she couldn’t get rid of the country bumpkin Song Samdong (Kim Soohyun) no matter how hard she tried. By chance or by necessity, during the casting meeting of <Dream High>’s staff, Seo Ingook suggested that it would be fun if they had a country boy character using a Korean dialect. Even though the <Dream High> casting he was hoping for fell through, instead he got the role of the Busan dialect-speaking hero, Yoon Yoonjae, in the ‘pesticide-like drama’ <Reply 1997>, joining the line-up of stars both in name and in reality. Even if he was the first winner of <Superstar K> which led the audition craze, he still couldn’t be called a star. It’s exactly this Seo Ingook who captivated the whole country with his Korean dialect. That’s why expressions like ‘life is full of ups and downs’ and ‘it’s not over till it’s over’ exist.

That’s right. This couldn’t fit the expression ‘pesticide-like’ more. How common is it to have a drama that can make people laugh, cry, and go crazy within an hour? In this world full of dramas, how can a drama with no villains, conspiracies nor traps, no CEO that we see all the time or director of headquarters, be so funny? Furthermore, even when watching the rerun after the first broadcast and even when rewatching it from the first episode, you don’t get tired of it. You don’t get tired of it and you slowly spot all the set-ups that you couldn’t see at first. The drama ended but when will this addiction stop?

UEE CONFIRMED TO STAR IN NEW DRAMA "JEON WOO CHI"

The popular movie ‘Jeon Woo Chi’ will be made into a drama.

After much speculation the lead actors have been confirmed. As revealed last month Uee received an offer to star in this promising drama. It has now been officially confirmed that Uee will star in this drama as the lead female. Noted actor and singer Cha Tae-Hyun has been cast in the lead male role.

This story is based on a fantasy novel/folktale, so it’s not necessary an adaptation of the 2009 film bearing the same name. Same source material, similar aspects, but a different angle.

G-Dragon Hopes to Produce Female Idol Group

Still young, yet already rich, G-Dragon has expressed his will to produce a girl group in the future.

The "CRAYON" singer looked excited when revealing his hope to direct a female K-pop group in an interview with the magazine held at YG Entertainment's office in Seoul Wednesday.

"I've always envied producer Teddy. It's hard to write and compose a song from the female perspective but he does it so well. I'm hoping that producing a girl group could be a chance for me to learn more and develop [as an artist], and also be a help to the team," G-Dragon said, adding that collaborating with younger idols could be another great experience for him.

A spirited rookie whose goal is to be ‘Asia’s Number One Performance Duo’ has entered. The word performance duo itself is unfamiliar, but the identical twins who stand at 185cm make you take another look at them. For now, the public remembers Tasty only as a twin duo who dances well and sings ‘Do You Know Me.’ But Tasty is a group that has the beauty of unexpectedness. They have a lot more stories than they seem to at first sight, and they have a lot more abilities that those that are seen.

Brothers Daeryong and Soryong grew their dream of becoming singers watching H.O.T and Rain. They passed a JYP audition in 2006 with ‘Bad Boy’ and, passing in one try, started their trainee life. With their innate dance skills, they were able to stand on Park Jinyoung’s comeback stage as backup dancers within a year, and afterwards, they had the fortune to receive guidance from choreographers who made dancers for Beyonce, Chris Brown, Ne-yo, etc. for three years in New York. But after 5 years, passed, their chance to debut had not come, so in 2011, they moved to Woollim Entertainment, which housed Epik High, Nell, and Infinite.

new Boy Group "OFFROAD"'s Debut MV To Feature Fencer Shin Ah Lam

The star of the disappointing 1 second controversy during the Olympics, Shin Ah Lam, has accepted an acting challenge through a role in an upcoming rookie group’s music video.

The fencer starred in the new idol group OFFROAD‘s debut music video for their single “Bebop“.

In the music video, Shin Ah Lam is said to show off not only her fantastic fencing moves but also her bright smile and acting abilities. The fencer’s acting and the sweet melody of “Bebop” have combined together to create an amazing performance.

“Bebop” was created by leader of the rock band The Cross, and has an electro beat and a funky rhythm that blends acoustic instruments with brass instruments to create a modern feel.

With the meaning of denying the common road and creating new roads, OFFROAD will release their album on the 24th.

New Boy Group "OFFROAD" Declares Themselves "2.5 Generation Idols" + Releases Debut Single "Bebop"

Dance-pop male group Offroad has released their first single titled "Bebop," an uptempo, bright dance track.

Declaring the era of the "2.5 generation idol," Offroad will serve as the stepping stone to the third generation idols, just like G.O.D was the stepping stone from first generation groups like S.E.S and H.O.T to second generation idol groups like Big Bang, 2PM, SNSD, and KARA.

Offroad consists of five members: GI, Kino, Si Hwan, Rio, and Seung Hun, and they intend to release this song to express a more free-spirited style, hence the name "Bebop," which refers to the style of playing swing jazz. With both electronic and acoustic elements, the track is livened up with the addition of funky rhythms and brass intruments, leading to a sophisticated feel.

TVXQ. It was breathless to read the four letters. I had soon forgotten that the seasons have changed a multiple times while checking when they would comeback. As soon as their comeback was confirmed, it didn’t take half the time for the bear to eat mugwort and garlic to become OongNyeo* (tn: This is referring to the birth myth of Korea) to get the interview scheduled. For TVXQ, who must have the foreseeable future in their mind for their every move, daily schedules are filled in beforehand, clearly. So the problem didn’t start till then. We got greedy and asked them to meet us outside, rather than in an indoor studio. We asked the celebs who should be hiding themselves to meet us in a place where nothing hid them. Picturing two men who would stand in the dark sight with the definition of tough guy dripping all over, we settled on a desolate part of Nodul Island. The main characters are TVXQ. To think of that name, which makes us risk any and every strategy, there should not be any interference in this project. We got the Ok sign from the control office and the police. What if we set the fire on the drum for the photoshoot and someone who just happens to pass by the Hangangdaegyo reports it mistakenly? We reported today’s shooting to the fire station. Even the way to the said area, crossing the Nodul Island vegetable gardens from Hangangdaedyo area wasn’t easy. When we finally delivered a clamorous map to TVXQ’s guardian, an employee from the SM Entertainment, he noticed the “007 Plan” and yelled out, “Are we shooting a movie!”

There are no gaps on SHINee’s stages. Instead, it is filled so completely that it has become a concern (‘homework’) that SHINee must solve. However the Onew we met off the stage was loose and easygoing. 24 year old Onew is a random young man who is most happy when he buys his friends food with his own money and falls asleep at the bedside having put down a book on anatomy.

“I’ve found an obsession with time after debut. It’s because of the thoughts of how to spend time if free. There’s been a lot of times where I went out just for a cup of coffee or took the subway and wandered alone.”
