Rookie group BtoB will be releasing their first mini album titled ‘Born TO Beat‘ on April 3rd!

On March 29th, BtoB will start the presale of their album on online music sites, as well as revealing their track list.

Their first mini album will be available both on and off line on April 3rd, and will feature their two title tracks,“Insane” and “Imagine”, along with two new songs.

The album is said to have been prepared due to the request of fans, who were previously only able to purchase digital copies of the songs and had strongly requested that the album be released, as well as to showcase the diverse music styles of the group.

Their first album, ‘Born TO Beat’ uses their team name, which has two meanings: “Born for music”, and ”The whole world will be overwhelmed (beat) by our music”. The album will include emotion filled vocals and raps that will truly be a treat to the ears of their fans.

In addition, the album will also include a song that was written and composed by the group members, and thus has increased the anticipation of fans.

BtoB debuted on the 21st with their title tracks, “Insane” and “Imagine”, and has already proved their amazing vocals as well as the ability to pull off captivating performances through their showcase and debut music program stages.

2PM and 2AM will have their own program on Tokyo MX, to be broadcast every Tuesday at 24:00 for 30 minutes starting April 3rd. This program, as its title ‘Wander (to go around place to place)’, will be done with a local guest and the 2PM/2AM members to find the attraction of Tokyo by visiting tourist attractions and restaurants in Tokyo.

The first episode, to be broadcasted on April 3rd, will have 2PM’s Taecyeon, Nichkhun, 2AM’s Seulong visiting places like Tokyo Tower with Japanese comedian ‘Kanningu Takeyama’.

K-Pop Tycoon Opens Innovative New York Restaurant

The pop music tycoon Park Jin-young has opened a Korean restaurant named Kristalbelli in Manhattan, New York. At a press conference in New York, Park said, "I think the image of Korean food is as important as its popularity. To give foreigners the impression that Korean food is fine cuisine, we need to target trend-setters."

Located on 36th Street near Korea Town, the 600 sq. m restaurant is as luxuriously decorated as any fancy bar.

The pièce de résistance is convex mirror-shaped crystal grill developed by Park himself. Park said people in his management agency JYP Entertainment opposed the plan, warning him against stepping into a field he is not familiar with, "so I made drawings for the grill myself. I invested W30 million (US$1=W1,135) of my own money, and had them broil meat on the grill and eat it. Then they agreed to the plan."

Girl group VIVID releases debut mini-album + dance practice

A new girl group has emerged and have released their debut mini-album on March 28th titled, "Attention Me." VIVID is a newly assembled 6-member group, who like many other groups, is vying to make their way to the top in the music industry.

Their jacket cover for the mini-album includes a cartoon version of the members as well as the text that seems to describe their group name, "If you describe memories and descriptions as vivid, you mean that they are very clear and detailed."

From the intense track, "Attention Me," to their beautifully vocalized and compelling track, "All Right," VIVID's 1st mini-album samples various genres to attract listeners. Their title track, "I Got You," is a dance track that mixes the overwhelming charm and personality of all the group's six vocals.

VIVID is made up of members leader Park Sunghee, Jung Ahyoung, Shim Ahreum, Showking, S2, and Seed.

Along with the release of their debut mini-album, VIVID has released a dance practice video for "I Got You."

Lee Donggun will be released and discharged from his military services later today on March 28th.

This announcement was made by his agency, Mask Entertainment, on Tuesday, who added that the singer-actor has finished his 2-year mandatory services.

Lee Donggun entered the military 2 years ago on June 2010 and has since then been active as a celebrity military officer in Korea's Defense Media Agency.

He made his debut as an actor in 1998, before entering into acting and is well-known for his roles in dramas "Lovers in Paris," "Sweet 18," and "Smile Again."

The most recent episode of MBC‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘ featured the ‘Idol Self-Ranking’ segment which revolved around the question, “Will you sing with me? The top 10 duet-idols you want to sing with.”

Among the nominees were TEEN TOP‘s Niel, CNBLUE‘s Yonghwa, SHINee‘s Onew, Big Bang‘s T.O.P, Girls’ Generation‘s Jessica, and more. With votes from fellow idols like MBlaq‘s Thunder and T-ara‘s Eun Jung, SISTAR‘s Hyorin was able to clinch first place.

Hyorin had also placed first on a previous episode with the ranking for “The top 10 perfect voiced idols who you’d nominate for ‘I Am a Singer.’”

She stated light heartedly, “I am very grateful to be ranked first again. However, instead of just voting, I wish they would

“I still can’t forget about what happened that day. During GD&TOP’s promo activities, we attended MAMA in Macau and the hotel room that we stayed in was a suite room. The room was very big with 2 beds next to each other. It was GD&TOP’s debut stage and after we finished performing, everyone was really excited so we all went to the afterparty. We drank a lot of alcohol there and when the party ended, we went back up to our room to rest.

Hello this is JAY.K Entertainment.

We have some important news for the fans who have been giving HITT their love and support.

HITT's leader Hayong and maknae Howon will unfortunately no longer be promoting with the other members of HITT. Hayong has been showing symptoms of a degenerating spinal disk and needs to focus on getting treatment, while Howon has decided to further his studies in order to become a more all-rounded artiste.

We understand that this sudden news will bring about much confusion among many fans. Hayong and Howon have always worked hard for themselves and the group. The other members as well as the company staff are, too, stricken by their decision to leave the group.

But above all, the members' health and future are most important. After much discussion, they made the tough decision of ending their activities with the group. Although they may no longer be a team, we hope that you will look forward to a different yet better look that the 2 members will present in the future.

The 4 remaining members Juntaek/Hyunjun/Uram/Jaehoon will be joined by new members. They will have a different start as a new group and are currently in the midst of preparations.

In order to be with everyone soon, they are currently having are hard time and are working even harder. We have that everyone will continue to lend them your support.

The photos, taken at a performance in Malaysia on March 23rd, were recently posted on an online community under the thread title "Jessica looks good after she gained some weight during her break."

They were contrasted against an image of Jessica from the KBS drama "Wild Romance", where she is seen looking slightly gaunt.

On the contrary, the photos from Girls' Generation's Malaysia performance a month later show her looking quite different. In particular her fuller cheeks, rounder forehead and the shape of her lips caught many people's attention.

Japanese PM Stirs Up Trouble with 'Comfort Women' Remark

Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda stirred up a long-simmering dispute between his country and Korea with comments Tuesday about a Korean statue in honor of the so-called comfort women forced into sexual slavery during World War II.

The Sankei Shimbun on Tuesday reported that Noda at a session of the Diet told lawmakers that wording on the statue saying "comfort woman forced into sexual slavery" is "far from accurate." His comment came in response to a question by lawmaker Eriko Yamatani from the conservative Liberal Democratic Party.

The statue was set up in front of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul, and the legend reads, "This peace monument reflects people's genuine desire to learn from history and remember the past on the occasion of the 1,000th weekly protest against Japan's atrocities by comfort woman forced into sexual slavery."

Noda also stressed that he asked President Lee Myung-bak during a bilateral summit in December to remove the statue.

The Korean government and civic groups here want Japan to offer a sincere apology and compensation for forcing women into sexual slavery for its troops during the occupation of Korea from 1910 to 1945. But the Japanese government maintains that the women were not forced into sexual slavery but volunteered to make money, and that all compensation was settled under a 1965 treaty that normalized relations between the two countries.
