As each of the guests received a terms pertaining to their life, MC Hyun Young showed her own, which was “investment techniques”.

She replied, “This year I’m going to invest in my boyfriend,” revealing that she was in a current relationship.

The MC continued to reveal that her boyfriend was four years older and a banker. Last year, the couple met through mutual friends and started seriously dating afterwards.

Brian Joo thanks Tiger JK for helping him with his new album

Singer Brian Joo thanked his mentor and friend, Tiger JK.

The singer shared the above photo via his official Twitter page on January 25th and wrote, “Thank you so much for the lyrics, and for your rap feature in the song. The reaction to the teaser has been awesome, thanks to you, hyung.”

Tiger JK then re-tweeted this comment, and cheered on his fellow junior singer.

The two recently collaborated on “Taking Leave Of You“, a new song from Brian’s new album, ‘ReBorn – Part 1‘. It is rare to see Tiger JK make a feature for other artists, but it looks like he made an exception for an exceptional artist such as Brian Joo.

The two have been friends since Brian debuted with Fly to the Sky, and grew close after realizing that they had a lot in common. They have maintained their good relationship to this day.

A source close to Brian remarked, “Brian asked Tiger JK to make a feature, and he was more than happy to do so.”

In related news, Brian recently released his new album ReBorn Part 1 at midnight (KST) on January 26th.

SNSD to Appear on Not One but TWO American TV Talk Shows Next Week

It’s been announced that SNSD will appear on two popular American TV talk shows next week. According to SM Entertainment, the girls will be on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS next Tuesday, January 31. The following day, SNSD will perform “The Boys” during their guest appearance on “Live! With Kelly!” on ABC.

A representative of SM Entertainment stated, “SNSD is the first Korean singers to guest star on a talk show on any major American broadcasting channels.”

Paparazzi photos of Girls’ Generation members on a plane flight have drawn the wrath of fans.

Recently on an online discussion board, a topic titled, ‘Girls’ Generation carefree airplane flight‘ was added for discussion. In this particular topic post, the paparazzi shots from a Hong Kong celebrity magazine called Face showed the Girls’ Generation members resting during their flight.

In the photo, Jessica has dozed off with her legs stretched out, Yoona munches a snack with her mouth open wide, Sooyoung falls asleep with her mouth agape, and Sunny concentrates on a book.

These photos were revealed to be taken in the business class section on a Korean airline, but it was not clear who took the shots.

Netizens responded with, “That is a highly private space… this is just too much!”, “This is a report full of evil-intentions“, and “Can’t stars enjoy any kind of personal privacy?”

BEAST to release 2nd full-length album in May

Korean boy band BEAST will release their second full-length album in May, according to their agency Cube Entertainment on Wednesday.

"The boys are scheduled to release a second studio album in early May when they complete their upcoming world tour," an official at Cube said in a phone call with 10Asia although declining to reveal further information about the album.

In the meantime, BEAST will reveal their digital single "I Knew It" (translated title) on Thursday, making it their first release in eight months since their first record "Fiction and Fact." They will also unveil the music video for the song starring BEAST member Dong-woon.

BEAST, composed of other members Du-jun, Yo-seop, Hyun-seung, Gi-kwang and Jun-hyun, is known as one of the most popular K-pop acts in Korea with their hit songs "Shock," "Mystery," "Beautiful" and "Fiction."

The boys are gearing up for their world tour "Beautiful Show" which will kick off in Seoul on February 4 and 5. They will then head off to Germany, England, Spain, the U.S., Canada, Toronto, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

T-ara's Soyeon Ridiculed By Netizens For Wearing Sneakers

A pair of sneaker and high heels cause an optical illusion to T-ara’ Soyeon; her body figure looks different depending on what she wears on foot.

On January 25, some pictures were posted on an online community board with the comment “Soyeon took off her heels, but she should never wear sneakers.”

The netizen, who uploaded the posting, dramatically emphasized on Soyeon’s different looking figures in sneakers and high heels.

Recently, T-ara gives performances of their chart topping single “Lovey Dovey” and they appear in comfortable, but fashionable costumes on stage. However, their thick leggings and sneakers which come up to their ankles make Soyeon’s legs look short and thick.

However, Soyeon shows off her slim, long legs in other pictures in which she is wearing high heels on stage and formal meetings.

In short, her figure looks different according to what she wears on foot. The netizen added, “Because she used to wear high heels all the time, her short height is exposed as she wears sneakers. Now I see why girl ‘idols’ wear high heels,” inspiring laughter.

Stellar To Comeback In February With Two New Members

Rookie girl group STELLAR has recruited two new members to their group and will be returning in February with a completely new image.

STELLAR debuted as a 4-member girl group with Kayoung, Junyool, Joa, and Yiseul with their digital single “Rocket Girl” last August.

For their upcoming comeback, they’ve recruited two new members and will be returning to their fans with a more mature concept.

STELLAR will continue to be promoting as a 4-member group, as members Joa & Yiseul will be promoting separately as a ballad group ‘Honeydew‘.

Their agency remarked, “We will be revealing the two new members soon. The newly constructed group will be unveiling their new single in February. Please show your love and support.”

The girls of STELLAR received a lot of attention ahead of their debut, as they were hand-selected and produced by Shinhwa‘s Eric, and ‘ulzzang‘ Kim Kayoung also joined the quartet.

Kayoung first made her TV debut on KBS 2TV‘s ‘Spy Myungwol‘, and is also active working as a reporter on KBS 2TV’s ‘Entertainment Replay‘, and more.

On January 20, Ilgan Sports, a popular Korean newspaper in Seoul, did a special survey of idols, called Idol Research. It surveyed a total of 92 idols, 45 male and 47 female. The following idols were surveyed:

One of the questions on the survey asked about each idols' class ranks in middle school. Besides GPA, Korean schools use a ranking system by class to determine who has the best grades. Most classes in Korean schools have an average of 60 students. Therefore, if someone was ranked 13th in their class, their grades would be about 78% higher than the rest of the class. (Note: The following results are averages calculated by all the answers that were given.)

Earlier today, we reported that labelmates Wonder Girls’ Sohee (20) and 2AM’s Seulong (25) were caught dating and that netizens were able to find past posts, dating as far back as September 2010, written by netizens who saw the two together.

However, just recently, JYP Entertainment released an official statement denying their relationship. A representative of JYPE stated, “It’s been confirmed that the two are not in a relationship. Sohee has met with other labelmates as often as she has met with Seulong. All of our artists are very close with each other, and they hang out with each other often. However, the two’s meetings have been magnified. They are simply close friends and nothing more.”

Big Hit Entertainment, who co-manages 2AM with JYP Entertainment, stated, “Seulong is currently in Japan for 2AM promotions. We will make a formal announcement once we get his confirmation.”

BEAST apologizes to fans for canceling tour stops in Brazil and the UK

Cube United has uploaded two videos of BEAST to their official Facebook page as apologies for canceling stops on their "BEAUTIFUL SHOW" tour in Brazil and the UK, two countries they previously visited with the rest of their agency. Although the group speaks in Korean, the page posted English translations of their dialogue.

Cube Entertainment announced in December 2011 that BEAST would embark on a world tour in February 2012, beginning in Seoul and eventually hitting Europe, Asia, and North America. Without the stops in Brazil and England, the tour will now include 19 cities in 12 countries, including Berlin, Germany on February 12th.

BEAST recently released a new digital single, "I Knew It" and intends to release a new single each month. Watch their apology videos below:

FT Island to release teaser for "Severely" for 4th mini-album on the 27th

FT Island is gearing up for their comeback with their 4th mini-album "GROWN-UP" and will be releasing the first music video teaser at midnight on January 27th. The teaser will be for their title song "Severely" and will be released simultaneously on Korean online music websites, as well as the group's official YouTube account (http://www.youtube.com/ftisland).

A still photo of FT Island's Hongki and a current unnamed actress was released last week, making fans question their relationship. FNC Music, the group's agency, then confirmed the still to be from FT Island's comeback music video, in which the two are the main characters.

FT Island is set to release their new mini-album at the beginning of February.

INFINITE’s L: “I am not a flower boy”

INFINITE’s L has been causing quite the stir with his recent statement, “I don’t think I’m a flower boy.”
On January 25th, L attended the press conference for his new tvN drama, ‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band’, at the CGV Cheongdam Cine City. During the conference, reporters asked L for his thoughts on his looks.
L laughed as he replied, “All of my fellow cast members are so handsome and beautiful that I don’t consider myself to be a flower boy.”

The answer raised some eyebrows, as L is known to be the ‘visual member’ of INFINITE. That reputation will live on through tvN’s ‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band’, where L plays an extremely talented guitarist in the fictional pretty-boy band, ‘Eye Candy’.

L shyly confessed, “To be honest, shooting the scene was my first time playing an electric guitar.” He continued, “I will practice hard to show a more professional side for the drama” and “I will deliver a guitarist with a strong sense of character.”

This will be L’s first time acting in his home country (he previously made his acting debut in a Japanese production), and therefore, L expressed that he’s really anxious about the results.

L said, “The INFINITE members were all very concerned for me and asked me, ‘Do you think you can do it?’”

He continued, “The hyungs that I am working with in the drama have been a big help to me. I want to show a cool side of myself by working hard on my acting.”

L also revealed his thoughts about working with ‘Superstar K3’ contestant Kim Ye Rim. “First of all, I have never met Kim Ye Rim before. I am really curious though.” L continued with a laugh, “I’m looking forward to meeting her. I wonder what her personality is like, what she would say, and how she is going to approach me.”

In the drama, L will be involved in a love triangle with Yoo Min Kyu and Kim Ye Rim’s characters.

‘Shut Up Flower Boy Band’ will be about a high school rock band called Eye Candy, who are comprised of flower boys with rough personalities. It is a passionate drama about youths’ experience with love, friendship and music; it will air its first episode on January 30th.

Eunjung finally catches a break.... not in a good way though

Sidelined for 6 weeks  due to knee injury

T-ARA member, Eunjung, received a diagnosis that she would be out for 6 weeks after injuring her left kneecap.

On the evening of January 24th, at 11:50 PM, after practicing the choreography for ‘Lovey-Dovey‘, she headed for home. Unfortunately, in her neighborhood, she fell down and bruised her left knee.

Upon injuring herself on the 24th, Eunjung immediately went to the emergency room to get x-rays and receive emergency care. Then, on the 25th, she returned to the hospital once again to receive a formal detailed examination.

The exam concluded that Eunjung’s left knee injury will take around 6 weeks to heal and that she would need to undergo a surgical procedure to remove with a syringe 3o mL of blood from the inside of the injured knee joint. She would also need to return to the hospital to receive further treatment on her knee joint.

Core Content Media stated, “Concerning Eunjung’s leg’s current condition, the bone beneath her knee has become swollen. She must wear a cast. We will watch the development of her knee’s condition and adjust her schedule accordingly.
