The cast members of the popular drama ‘Protect the Boss‘ have gathered together once again, but this time for a year-end party.

Recently, ‘Protect the Boss‘ Director Song Jung Hyun posted proof shots of the cast members at the year-end party on the website gallery. The pictures contained images of JYJ‘s Jaejoong along with actresses Choi Kang Hee, Ha Jae Sook and actor Ji Sung as they came together to share a drink and celebrate the year’s end in good company.

The public was particularly drawn to the picture where Jaejoong is seen puckering up his lips attempting to kiss Choi Kang Hee, as well as other pictures where he is drawing humorous expressions, causing laughter among those who stumbled across the pictures.

Netizens stated, “Jaejoong must have been upset that he lost Choi Kang Hee to Ji Sung in the drama”, “It’s good to see that they stayed close even after the drama ended”, and “Kim Jaejoong… your lips… don’t do it”

On December 29th, fans were disappointed to discover that SM Entertainment had not informed fans prior to the pre-recording for the ‘2011 SBS Gayo Daejun‘, leaving Super Junior without a crowd support in the audience of such a prestigious event.

The members immediately took to their Twitters to apologize for the incident and also let out a bit of steam over the mishandling of the event.

Leader Leeteuk expressed, “This isn’t right… They should’ve put up notices beforehand, no? I’ll apologize on behalf of them~” Donghae also quickly apologized, “Sorry, ELF…”

Eunhyuk frustratingly tweeted, “This year-end doesn’t mean anything without our ELF… so frustrated!!!!!! Eat food, eat food twice.” The sentiment was retweeted by Leeteuk, Donghae, and Siwon, who added, “Eat thrice~^^ kekeke,” and “Keep eating.”

Siwon wrote in English, “Any way.. you look at it, there isn’t a group more hard-working than us, and there can’t be a group more pitiful than us..damn it! if we’ve done anything wrong, it must be the crime of working too hard, don’t you agree everyone? well just forget it.. what a long day..”

Taeyang recently met with Star News and talked about his infinite trust on his bandmates and his childhood friend, G-Dragon.

"Since we went through many things this year, we became closer to each other.”

As a friend, I feel sorry for Jiyong (G-Dragon) but he'll always be someone who's more than a family to me. Even if something worse happened, I couldn't let go of Jiyong's hand just like that. It's the same thing with him. For me, he is friend for a lifetime."

Taeyang also spoke for the first time regarding a misunderstanding that happened because of some things he posted on his Twitter that some people related to G-Dragon's scandal.

"Actually, those tweets have nothing to do with Jiyong. I posted those with other things in mind. I feel terrible for all the misunderstanding."

He also talked about the other members: T.O.P, Daesung and Seungri.

"We still live together in a dorm. Like family, we understand each other even though we don’t talk about everything.

During our break, the members meet up to work on songs. We already prepared some new songs and we're currently in the middle of producing a new album."

On BIGBANG's plans for 2012, he said, "We always hold a BIG SHOW concert every year and the next one will be this coming March. We're also planning to release a new album around that time."

He continued, "In 2012, we are going to repay our fans, who have faith in us, with good music and lively activities."

With a smile, he added, "Of course, my solo album that I've been working on will be released too."

Earlier today, we reported that Jeon Ji Hyun was seeing someone with marriage in mind. Initially, the CEO of her agency, Im Yeon Jung, denied their relationship, stating that he never heard her speak of him or her marriage plans.   

However, J&CO. Entertainment finally announced, “As reported in various media outlets, Jeon Ji Hyun is indeed in a relationship. Like any non-celebrity, they were friends before they developed feelings for each other.” They added, “However, the rumors about the marriage plans are not true. Because Jeon Ji Hyun’s significant other is a non-celebrity, please refrain from publishing exaggerated stories about the new couple. Please support their blossoming relationship.”

Jeon Ji Hyun’s boyfriend, Choi, is the grandson of Korea’s most well-known hanbok designer, Lee Young Hee. They were childhood friends, and they started dating early this year. It’s reported that Choi is extremely good looking and tall (apparently, he’s 185 cm (6’1) tall).

Representatives of Lee Young Hee stated, “Lee Young Hee is aware of the two dating. Jeon Ji Hyun and Choi have been childhood friends, and it is true that they are seeing each other.

2NE1 Chosen for Rookie Award in Japan

2NE1, which made its official Japan debut in September, will be winning the rookie award at the 2011 Japan Record Awards.

According to Mainichi Digital on December 29, 2NE1 was chosen as the winning rookie at the 53rd Japan Record Awards, which awards winners selected by the Japan Composer’s Association and is hosted by TBS.



The members of 2NE1 rehearsed for the ceremony on December 28 in Tokyo, and said, “We’re honored and very happy to be given such an award though it hasn’t been long since we made our debut in Japan.”

“We’ll work hard to be chosen for the Record Awards next year, the year after that and for many years to come,” they added.

About the performance they would showcase at the ceremony, they introduced it as a “performance that expresses a strong female image,” and emphasized, “Please keep your eyes on the performance in which we will act as if in a musical. We want to have fun with the people in the audience and our viewers.”

The Japan Record Awards will air on TBS on December 30.

Girl group 4minute revealed their strong motivation for their promotion activities in 2012.

During a press conference held on December 26th in Lotte Hotel, Sogongdong, Seoul, they told the reporters, "We will come to the audience not as the 'best' but as the 'only'."

4minute has been busy promoting in Japan and attending various events after their 'Heart to Heart' and 'Mirror Mirror' promotion activities back in March and April. They have also taken part in their family concerts all around the world. However, their innumerous fans were disappointed that their promotion actitivies in 2011 did not last long.

Heo Gayoon revealed that their new album was currently in the making and she revealed another important point. "We have been trying hard to find our very own color since 'Hot Issue'. We wanted to pursue something else rather than gaining popularity."

BIGBANG to bring BIGSHOW concerts to South America?

YG Entertainment (YG) has plans to hold a concert in South America. A representative of YG stated, “Big Bang, who is releasing a new album in March of next year, has plans to launch a Big Show Tour,” adding, “Details about what countries and cities have not been decided, but we are currently pushing to increase the number of performances and expand into South America.”

YG’s CEO, producer Yang Hyun Suk explained, “Central and South America is a region that is second to the US in its growing considerable influence.”

It can be argued that the US is a market that is capable of transforming the geography of K-Pop’s audience.

On December 29th, Tiffany and Yuri were presented with a special award in the MC category at the MBC Entertainment Awards.

Tiffany and Yuri have been extremely popular MC’s on “Show! Music Core”, and they were specially recognized for their talent.
They said, “Thank you for all the staff who work with us since the early mornings for one hour of broadcasting.” They then listed every one of the staff members’ names and also said, “We are happy just being able to watch the seniors and juniors every week.”

Fans immediately reacted with excitement over the news with “MC YulTi” trending worldwide on Twitter in 7th place.

Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon shed tears during art therapy session

Hyoyeon of Girls’ Generation cried a flood of tears during a recent recording for ‘Girls’ Generation and the Dangerous Boys‘.

A JTBC representative revealed that Hyoyeon participated in an art therapy treatment with the troubled male students to gain insight on their innermost thoughts and psyches.

The representative stated, “Girls’ Generation and the dangerous boys participated sincerely in an art therapy session. Hyoyeon especially became quite invested; while drawing her picture, she started crying and shocked not only her fellow group members, but the crew as well.”

The representative added, “During the recording, Hyoyeon left to collect herself, but once the art therapist started analyzing her picture, she started crying again, which perplexed those on set".

The reason behind Hyoyeon’s tears will be revealed in the upcoming episode of ‘Girls’ Generation and the Dangerous Boys’.

Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk revealed the cramped waiting room of KBS‘s ‘Gayo Festival‘.

On December 30th, he tweeted, “Either the waiting room is small or the sofa isn’t enough or there are a lot of members…are you watching, KBS?”

In the picture, it seems that the Super Junior members are trying to catch a few minutes of sleep after their busy days.

Many are suspecting a veiled protest against KBS in Eunhyuk’s innocuous complaint about the waiting room size.

JYJ to bring their world tour to South America in 2012

After bringing their world tour to the United States, South Korea, Canada, Europe, Japan, Singapore, China, Taiwan and various other countries in Asia, JYJ is planning to add stops to their world tour in 2012 to South America.

On December 29th, an official from C-JeS said, "We are currently in the final stages of scheduling JYJ's concert tour in South America." The official adds that the stops to South America will most likely take place between late February and early March.

However, the cities in which JYJ will hold their concert has yet to be finalized and they will be revealed after everything has been concluded as there are still discussions taking place.
