Rainbow's Jisook and Yoonhye To Take Over Shim Shim Tapa

Rainbow members Ji Sook and Yoon Hye will be taking over Shindong‘s radio show ‘Shim Shim Tapa‘ while he’s away on vacation.

Ji Sook and Yoon Hye will be hosting the show on October 25th through MBC Standard FM. Commenting on their first radio DJ stint, the girls said, “Since it’s the first time for either of us to become a main DJ, there is some pressure, however we’ll do our best and try really hard to make up for Shindong’s absence.”

In related news, Rainbow is currently preparing for the release of their 2nd Japanese single “Mach“, which will be coming out this December. The members are said to be practicing their choreography in addition to studying Japanese.

Think of the work required to make just one Justin Bieber. The production, the management, the vocal training, the choreography, the swagger coaching — all that effort to create one teen-pop star in a country that’s still starving for them. South Korea has no such drought, thanks to several companies that specialize in manufacturing a steady stream of teenage idols, in groups of various configurations. One of the longest-running of these companies is SM Entertainment, which on Sunday night hosted SM Town Live, a sold-out showcase at Madison Square Garden for several of its acts, any one of which any American reality-TV talent show or major-label A&R department worth its salt would be thrilled to have discovered.

There’ve been a few articles in the past about how SECRET didn’t have cell phones. While guesting on MBC’s ‘Quiz to Change the World‘ recently, the girls revealed that they still lacked cell phones.

On October 22nd, SECRET confessed, “Many people don’t believe us, but we haven’t had cell phones for two years and we are the only ones allowed in our dorm.”

The members took to the opportunity to send a direct message towards their agency CEO. Song Ji Eun said, “We are not quadruplets. Last time, he said he would buy us bags so he picked them out, but he picked the same bag in the same color for all four of us. I remember just giving up at that point.”

Han Sunhwa also stated, “I agree. Our CEO thinks that a girl’s dorm has to be pretty. However, he’s particularly obsessed with the toilet paper holder. He is very adamant about making sure a girl’s bathroom’s toilet paper holder is pretty. I wish he would care about other things as well.”

After hearing SECRET’s complaints, comedian Song Eunee recalled, “Sunhwa is frustrated because she doesn’t have a cell phone. When I saw her today, she greeted me extra happily saying, ‘Unni, I borrowed my friend’s phone around your birthday and sent you a text.’ That was back in January.”

Comedian Kim Shin Young also added, “Once in a while, Han Sunhwa calls me with somebody else’s phone. Then she asks, ‘Unni, why don’t you answer your phone?’ So I answered, ‘How can I pick up a number I don’t know?’ to which she replied, ‘That’s me’.”

With one voice, Ji Eun and Sunhwa stated, “Next year, we would like to have cell phones.”

Over 700 fans gather for Supernova Yunhak’s army enlistment

On October 25th, over 700 Japanese and Korean fans gathered at the entrance of Military Reserve 306 to bid Supernova‘s Yunhak farewell before he began his 18 months of military life.

At approximately 12:30 PM, Yunhak appeared with his newly shaved hairdo and expressed his heartfelt thoughts on his enlistment, family, and fellow group members.

Yunhak began with, “I’m finally beginning my active duties, and I think it will be a good experience for me.”

“I’m so thankful that I’m able to spend my last moments with my family, my group members, and fans. I will come back after committing to my duties safely and healthily,” he said.

When asked to do a salute to his fans, he took off his cap and gave a proud salute. Afterwards, he shyly asked, “Am I doing it right?” Yunhak expressed his thanks not only in Korean, but in Japanese as well as a service to those fans who crossed the sea to send him off.

Both Yunhak’s family and all members of Supernova were at the scene to support Yunhak’s enlistment, and fans were particularly pleased to see the group’s everlasting friendship with one another.

“I completed Supernova’s concert tour with all the members right till the end. I believe they can still show the best of themselves in the future,” he said.

When asked who he will think of the most during his time in the military, the leader answered, “I think I will think of my parents the most. I’m sorry to the family members who I wasn’t able to say goodbye to. I will make sure to return safely.”

As Yunhak finally walked through the gates, his fans couldn’t help but burst into tears. Some even followed Yunhak’s footsteps all the way to the entrance and shouted out his name.

Fans brought along multiple placards that read supportive messages such as, “Come back safely”, “I love you“, and “I’ll be waiting for you, Yunhak.”

Meanwhile, a total of 14 chartered buses that drove the Japanese fans from the airport were parked outside Reserve 306, showing the sheer dedication of their Japanese fans to Supernova’s leader.

Secret's "Love is Move" choreography resembles flawless Yoo Hyuk's dance moves

A recent clip of Yoo Jae Suk of Infinity Challenge dancing in sync to SECRET's "jjo-ah" dance has been gaining a lot of interest on the web.

The clip was uploaded onto popular sites such as Daum and Youtube, and featured SECRET's Love is Move single and a clip of Yoo Jae Suk dancing to his infamous "jjo-ah" song. The video was created by fans of SECRET who were amused at the resemblance of the choreography.

Fans commented, "The synchronization is uncanny," "The original dance is Yoo Jae Suk's," and "Their single is really good. You shouldn't do that to a girl you love."

SECRET has been known in the past to have addictive choreography moves as with their single Magic and the "shaking dance" as well as the "baby bird dance" from their single Shy Boy. Following up from their previous "baby gorilla" dance, moves from Love is Move is reported to have upgraded to a "mama gorilla" dance.

SECRET is currently holding 2nd on various charts with their track Love is Move.

Actor Gong Yoo and actress Im Soo-jeong have been caught up in a 'secret wedding' rumor.

Starting from the past weekend, there have been rumors spreading about this all throughout online communities and SNS. It's mostly about 'Gong Yoo and Im Soo-jeong's secret wedding in America will be out soon'.

Gong Yoo's management said on the 24th, "This rumor isn't even worth dealing with. We have requested cyber investigation about the very first publisher and we will deal with this legally".

Actress Kim Tae-hee is being criticized by Japanese netizens.

She appeared in the Fuji TV program "Smile!" on October 21st.

She appeared with her Tamori, co-actor in the drama "99 Days With a Star" which is due to be shown from October 23rd.

Tamori was introduced as the main guest first and then Kim Tae-hee. She sat in the middle and spoke about Japanese foods and dramas.

Japanese netizens who saw this responded saying, "Second guest Kim Tae-hee should have sat at the end", "She shouldn't sit in the middle when she's just a guest", "She's so rude" and more.

Actor Yoo Seung-ho politely refused an offer from several prominent universities and decided to give up on it.

An IQ quiz that Tablo (31) took has entered the spotlight once again. Recently, a netizen posted the quiz on an online community under the title: "The IQ test that Tablo solved in 11 seconds." The quiz consists of five pictures, and greatly aroused netizens' curiosity.

The quiz requires a rearrangement of the pictures into a logical order. According to the netizen who posted it, "People who solve this in twenty seconds have an IQ of above 170. Tablo solved it in 11 seconds; most Seoul University students take more than a minute."

BOYZ Reveals Their Debut Single "Best of Your Zone"

Five member boy band BOYZ caught the attention of the public earlier this year with news of an impending debut, and it looks like the group’s big day is finally here! The rookie group (Noah, Yoongam, Enoch, Junone and Haroo) have released their first single, “Best of Your Zone“.

Emerging from VIP Entertainment, this single features three tracks: “Up Down“, “Missing You” and an instrumental for the latter track. While “Up Down” features an upbeat synthesized beat, “Missing You” showcases the members’ vocal skill with a slower beat.
