Famous songwriters can make an astounding sum of money a month.
On a broadcast of Seungseung Jang-gu (On A Roll) on KBS2 on October 25th, some of the most famous songwriters and producers were featured: A Brave Brother, Shinsadong Tiger.
Gahee of After School was a surprise guest, and she revealed a past conversation she had with a Brave Brother regarding his monthly salary. She had asked him how much he made a month, to receive a vague answer of "Two bills!". She pressed further, "2 million won?" (roughly $1,800). The Brave Brother scoffed, "Are you kidding me?!" Gahee revealed that she thinks he had meant not even just 200 million won (roughly $175,000), but 2 billion won (roughly $1.8 million).
On the show, the Brave Brother admitted to earning about 5 billion won (about $4.4 million) over the past four years. This is after various production costs are subtracted from his gross monthly pay.
As for Shinsadong Tiger, he joked that if he were to reveal his pay on air, his parents would end up depending on him too much. He did admit during a particularly well-paid month, he would earn about 100 million won (roughly $88,000). But he said it comes with a price, as if he were to take even a day off, his monthly pay would shrink considerably.
When both producers were asked which songs brought in the most money for them, the Brave Brother answered with Son Dambi's "On A Saturday Night" and After School's "Because Of You". Shinsadong Tiger answered with T-ara's "Bo Peep Bo Peep", Beast's "Fiction", and 4minute's "Music". He then added that when Kim Jong-gook's "Pick Her Up" was chosen to be used in a commercial, it was worth several songs.

TRAX To Comeback Next Week

It was revealed through Trax's official schedule, as well as Korean news sources, that SM Entertainment's rock band will be returning to the stage as soon as next week.
Due to vocalist Jay's involvement in the sitcom "My Bittersweet Life", the band's initial comeback was postponed. "My Bittersweet Life" started airing in May and is still continuing. Trax' guitarist Jungmo, on the other hand, has been featuring in many live shows. He also recorded "Close Ur Mouth" together with Super Junior's Kim Heechul as the project duo M&D, or Midnight & Dawn.
In the beginning of July, Trax's Jungmo already revealed that the band had already been recording for its new album, after celebrating the band's 7th year of existence.
Trax is supposed to make its comeback with new material on the November 4th episode of Music Bank.

Singer Hwanhee (29) has finally begun his military service at the Choongnam Army Training Facility on October 27th. He will receive basic training for the next 4 weeks before moving on to serve as a public service officer for the next 2 years. (Hwanhee could not enter the military as a regular soldier due to issues arising from a shoulder dislocation.)
Just before he entered the military, Hwanhee held a fan meeting with 100 Korean and Japanese fans, as well as various members of the press. His Japanese fans flew in from across the sea and rented two tour buses to see him off. After he showed off his new hair, he gave a military salute to his fans before holding his final interview with the press.

New album from Gummy in November!

It’s just been revealed that Gummy will be making a return to the music scene with a brand-new album in November!
“Gummy is scheduled for a November comeback,” said an industry insider. “She is currently in the stage of finishing up her album.”
This new album will be her first non-OST effort in more than a year, following her “Love Recipe” release from 2010. According to the insider, her new album received the help of Choi Kap Won, who also worked with IU for her hit albums.
The album will be filled with quality songs that bring out her unique, soulful voice; the music video was filmed in Japan following the album recording.
Along with her new album, Gummy is slated to participate in MBC‘s survival reality program, ‘I Am a Singer‘.

I had a similar experience with my own nephew. I made the stupidest mistake of not telling my sister-in-law about it. When she found out about an hour later, she literally punched me on the nose. Thanks to my brother, I managed to escape with my skin intact. Thank God we found him a few minutes later.

P.S. Since there's no news about Kyumin's parents suing Dasom, Leeteuk and the filming crew for neglecting Kyumin's safety, I gonna assume they found Kyumin safe and sound.
