It’s been revealed that pop quintet Girl’s Day will leave for Hawaii with three lucky fans on October 21st!

The girls take the fans around a coffee farm for their own endorsement, ‘Konabeans‘. Together, the girls and the fans will experience the creation of ‘Konabeans’ coffee firsthand.

A representative of ‘Konabeans’ stated, “We wanted to show the excellence of our coffee to Girl’s Day and the general public by demonstrating the production and packaging of our coffee in Hawaii.”

Girl’s Day plans to leave on the 21st and spend five nights in Hawaii.

To match the lively and powerful song, boyfriend has shed off their cute and anime character like image and returned with a more manly and mature look.

What do you think about this album?

It was an honor to be able to work with Sweettune. The song is very up-beat and fast but if you listen carefully, the words are actually pretty sad. It’s a Boyfriend kind of song. (Donghyun)

I feel like the concept has changed a lot from the first album.

You can say that we pushed the cute factor a lot in the first single album, but in the second one, we added a more manly kind of style, but it’s still pretty cute. From the song title, to the dance, to the song, we changed to a more mature look. (Jeongmin)

We didn’t think our concept change was a big one,  but our fans kept saying it was such a drastic change and that they’re shocked. (Donghyun)

HyunA & Taeyang voted as the next Lee Hyori & Rain

Today’s hottest idol stars were asked who they thought would be best qualified to be the next Lee Hyori and Rain, two very iconic personalities in Hallyu.

Although there were a wide variety of opinions, 4minute‘s HyunA and Big Bang‘s Taeyang came out on top of the ranking.

Runner-ups included B2ST‘s Lee Kikwang, Jay Park, SNSD‘s Yuri, and G.NA.

This poll was especially interesting as members of Infinite, MBLAQ, U-KISS and B1A4 all actively voted for HyunA as the next Lee Hyori.

MC Jung Hyun Dong who is close to HyunA called to congratulate the singer, and HyunA remembered to thank everyone who voted for her.

KARA is asked why they’re more popular than SNSD & 2NE1 in Japan

On the October 19th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, the MCs treaded some daring waters by asking KARA what they thought was the reasons behind their success in Japan.

The MCs bluntly asked, “We heard that KARA is more popular than both SNSD and 2NE1 in Japan, why do you think that is?”

Leader Gyuri carefully replied, “There’s probably a variety of reasons. SNSD and a lot of other girl groups are also receiving a lot of love in Japan, but they say that our popularity is higher. We’re actually not sure of the reasons ourselves.”

Goo Hara attributed their popularity to their proficiency of the Japanese language stating, “We don’t have an interpreter with us when we go on variety shows.” The MCs asked back, “Kind of like Ida Daussy in the past then, right?” Another remarked, “So you’re basically a group with five Ida Daussys.”

(Ida Daussy is a French woman who moved to Korea in the early 90′s after marrying a Korean and she became a TV celebrity because of her Korean language skills.)

After much laughter, the girls continued, “We also adjust to new locations / adapt to new environments really fast. We could probably survive no matter where you place us.”

SHINee sets a new record in the 44 year history of the Oricon

The boys of SHINee recently released their third single “LUCIFER” in Japan on the 12th, and they have rose towards the top of the Oricon chart along with famous rock band L‘Arc~en~Ciel, seizing the #2 spot!

Their previous Japanese singles “Replay” and “JULIETTE” along with the most recent “LUCIFER” have all ranked in the TOP 3 on the Oricon singles weekly chart. This marks the first time for a foreign artist to achieve this mark, meaning SHINee has set a new record.

Furthermore, on Oricon’s main page, it read, “This is the first time in the 44 year history of the Oricon that a foreign artist (soloist included) released three different singles, and all 3 have ranked within the TOP 3″, making this achievement all the more significant.

SHINee has plans to release their first full-length album “THE FIRST” on November 23rd, and their fame in Japan will only grow from here.

The boys will also be holding independent concerts on the 27th in Nagoya Gaishi Hall, as well as on November 24th & 25th in Osaka.

Kim Kyu Jong and Luna Cast in Their First TV Roles

SS501’s Kim Kyu Jong and f(x) member Luna will make their TV acting debut on the upcoming weekend drama “Go! Mrs. Go!”

The 36-episode drama revolves around Go Bong Shil, a woman in her 50s who moves to Seoul after losing her husband and thereafter becomes a best-selling author. Veteran actress Kim Hae Sook will play the title character. Luna is set to take on the character Seo In Young, Mrs. Go’s troublesome younger daughter. Kim Kyu Jong will tackle Nicky, an aspiring musical actor.

Although “Go! Mrs. Go!” is their first TV acting assignment, both singers have acted onstage before. Kim Kyu Jong took the lead in the most recent staging of the musical version of “Goong.” Luna has appeared in “Legally Blonde” and “Coyote Ugly.”

“Go! Mrs. Go!” is produced by Group 8, the production company behind teenage dramas “Boys Over Flowers” and “Playful Kiss.” “Go! Mrs. Go!” is set to broadcast on cable channel CSTV at the end of 2011.

New group "AA" shows off it's first member "Aoora"

Wellmade STAR M, the agency housing famous actors like Ha Ji Won, Kim Seung Woo, Choi Jung Won, and Lee Jong Suk, will be making their venture into the music industry by debuting their 5-member group, ‘AA‘ (“Double A“).

AA revealed their first member, Aoora, on October 18th. Aoora is rumored to be a talented vocalist and a rapper, who’s capable of composing and producing his own music. With his gentle smile and charisma, he will lead the group as the oldest member.

Wellmade Star M revealed, “As a dance major from the Seoul Institute of the Arts, Aoora possesses strong dance skills as well as vocal skills, and stage manners that were fine-tuned by his appearances in musicals and other performances. He is a member who will be able to deliver both visual and audible pleasure that will definitely satisfy the audience.”

It’s also known that the popular Japanese composer and DJ, Daishi Dance, expressed his interest in Aoora’s unique style and asked Aoora to collaborate with him.

Daishi Dance has was worked many famous Japanese artists like Ayumi Hamasaki, SMAP, and Nakashima Mika. He’s also produced a few works in Korea as well, including Big Bang‘s “Haru Haru” and Rainbow‘s “To Me“. He praised, “When I first heard AA’s song through Aoora, I shivered and felt an ecstasy greater than when I first discovered Big Bang.”

AA will make their first debut appearance at the 2011 Hallyu Concert on October 28th.

Singer Mo-se (real name Kim Jongbeom, 31) recently passed some strong criticisms on T-ARA's manners.

On October 13th, he tweeted, "There is a girl group whose attitude at events have led to them being talked about. I know something of it. They are also famous for not greeting others. I've met the girl who posted an explanation a few times, and not once did she greet me. What's worse, we met a few times at the recording studio before their debut, and even then she didn't do anything."

"Particularly, when we meet at events, it's only manners to say 'thank you' and greet each other lightheartedly. Let's not even mention they fact that they don't greet -- all they do is watch me. Wow. They must be big stars. I don't normally say things like this, but what kind of celebrities or adults are they to behave like this," he continued.

Previously, T-ARA's Hyomin had posted a short note on her Twitter clarifying accusations of insincerity against her group. She said, "There is a part in the choreography for 'Why Are You Like This?' that makes it look like we're talking to one another. As for "Roly Poly," we wanted to portray a joyful image to the audience, so we smiled at each other and made it look like we were joking around amongst ourselves. I think that misunderstandings arose because of that."

As soon as Mo-se's tweet started spreading, he added, "I didn't mean for that to happen, but I accept their apology and on my part apologize for what I said. I was a little vicious with my words, but seeing how apologetic they are, I think they didn't mean to be rude. In any case, I will watch over them in future."

Mo-se debuted in 2005 with his song "Love."

Scandal-ridden former military football coach found dead in apparent suicide

A former head coach of a military football club participating in the K-League was found dead in an apparent suicide on Wednesday, one month after being given a two-year suspended sentence for his role in a football match-fixing scheme, police said.

Lee Soo-cheol, who had led the Sangju Sangmu Phoenix from October 2010 to July, hanged himself in his home in Bundang, south of Seoul, according to the Bundang Police Station.

"No suicide note was found, but his family members said he has been distressed in recent months by the match-rigging scandal," an investigator said.

Secret's Hyosung, Taken to the Emergency Room With Their Comeback Stage Ahead

Secret’s leader, Jeon Hyosung, was taken to the hospital’s emergency room before their comeback stage, making those around her feel sympathetic.

On the 20th, Secret’s company, TS Entertainment, said Hyosung’s health becoming worse last night on the 19th and was quickly taken to the emergency room. She rested after getting an IV.

Representatives explained, “Hyosung was having trouble since last week because she caught body aches and a cold. With her comeback stage just a day ahead, it seemed that she had gotten tired trying to go through with 7 interview and recording schedules.”
Continuing on, they added, “Along with this being the 1st official album that Secret’s revealing in 2 years since their debut, it seems she was burdened as the leader because the past 4 songs have all been hits.”

However, the representative calmed fans down by saying, “She was really worried for awhile because her voice wasn’t coming out properly. Since it’s an album that they devoted their whole selves to, she purposely went to the emergency room just in case she wouldn’t be able to show her all during the comeback stage.”

Secret revealed their 1st official album’s title song, ‘Love is Move’, on the 18th and plan to officially start promotions.
Secret, who is debuting through Mnet ‘M! Countdown’ on this day, gave the 1st place on music portal sites to SNSD, but kept the 2nd place ranking, making this an amazing opening act for the end-of-the-year girl group battle.

Bride of the year Kim Hyo-jin and her lover Yoo Ji-tae showed off a modern and chic look unlike traditional wedding pictures.

This photo shoot was the first and last photoshoot for the couple as one of the best couples in the star world with the wedding coming up and they have never taken one before, despite their good reputation.

This photo shoot also had a deeper meaning as it is the first they have taken since they met nine years ago.

Related to this Yoo Ji-tae said, "When I was finishing grad school Hyo-jin and I took a picture together so whenever I was lonely I comforted myself from looking at that picture. Now that we took pictures together after nine years I hope we take another one in another nine years.

Won Bin to make a drama comeback through MBC?

According to recent reports, there’s a possibility that actor Won Bin will return to the small screen next year through an ultra large-scale drama production.

Reportedly, MBC approached Won Bin to take the lead role in a monumental drama. The drama doesn’t have an official title as of yet, but it’s been revealed that it’s a romantic comedy-fantasy series that has a complex storyline revolving around the relationship between North and South Korea. There are elements of politics and diplomacy involved, and of course, a love story between a man and a woman. Supposedly, the drama project will be done on such a tremendous scale that film production alone will take a whole year.

If Won Bin officially accepts a role in this unknown drama, he will be making his first drama comeback in 9 years. The last time fans saw him in a drama was in 2002, when he starred in MBC’s Korea-Japan joint series, ‘Friends‘.

CSJH's Sunday Criticized for Using a Shopping Cart?

CSJH member Sunday has been receiving criticism due to a certain photo she posted.

On October 18, Sunday posted on her Twitter interesting pictures with the following message: "At the market, pretending to be groceries... I did this because I had no strength due to my deathly cold but the passing by babies are staring at me. What what?!"

In the picture, Sunday is sitting in a shopping cart with a bright albeit mischievous smile. Someone was pushing her in the cart. However, this picture caused quite a commotion on Twitter by the netizens. This is because the shopping cart seat is only for children ages five and younger. It is not allowed for adults to climb in the cart.

Netizens commented, "She should know by now that you're not allowed to sit in a shopping cart," "Are you still immature?" "She has no common sense," "Please grow up," "It's wrong to sit in a cart and she's still showing it off," as they criticized Sunday's wrongdoing. Was it really that bad for Sunday to go on a shopping cart?
