On October 19th, After School‘s UEE updated her official me2day with a sweet photo of her and fellow member Jungah giving each other a tight hug.

UEE wrote, “Hello, my Me2 friends!! It’s been such a long while, right!! I’ve stopped by to update with a picture~ It’s a picture I took with our Jjung Jjung mommy!! ^^ We look great together, right??!! ^^.”

The two are holding on to each other for dear life, to the point where Jungah’s bending backwards! Fans commented, “Your long legs shine here!”, “Definitely look great together”, “Both are so gorgeous”, and “Both are so tall!”

Although “The Boys” has been sweeping the No. 1 spots of music charts throughout the Internet, there has been speculation as though why SNSD had changed their musical style abruptly. Some have been calling the melody “too complicated” in contrast to the addictive, cute songs the public has come to expect from SNSD.

Goo Hara chooses SHINee over B2ST and Super Junior

Although Goo Hara revealed a few details about her relationship with B2ST‘s Junhyung, she was a bit more diplomatic when the discussion turned to his group.

On October 19th’s episode of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, the MCs talked to KARA about their explosive popularity in Japan. When the girls were asked who they felt was more popular in Japan, B2ST or Super Junior, Hara was quick to provide a witty answer.

“I actually think SHINee is the most popular,” she said, completely throwing off the MCs.

“We gave you two choices, and SHINee wasn’t one of them“, they remarked disappointedly.

Netizens were delighted over her ability to skillfully avoid an awkward situation, as the MCs aimed to pin her between offending MC Kyuhyun (a member of Super Junior) or her boyfriend.

Actor Won Bin and SNSD‘s YoonA were crowned as the #1 celebrities that people would to go on an autumn walk with while holding hands.

Personal and household care products company, CJLION, polled netizens on their homepage on who would be their ideal autumn date. 12,000 people participated in the survey, and declared that Won Bin and YoonA were the top male and female dates.

With his dashing good looks, Won Bin obtained 12% of 1,402 votes – placing 1st for the male celebrities. Following close behind was Lee Seung Gi with 11% (1,360 votes), and So Ji Sup with 8% (908 votes).

For the females, YoonA clinched 1st place by a large margin with 26% (3,161 votes). Kim Tae Hee followed with 7% (842 votes), and IU received 5% (546 votes).

Lousy computer graphics are being criticized by netizens.

An online community recently revealed pictures titled, "The best CG scenes that will last in our history forever".

The pictures were from historical dramas "Mighty Chil-woo", "Yeon Gaesomun" and "The Iron Empress" and the lousy CG is very humiliating.

Looking closely at the pictures, we can see the general on a fake horse, the lousy background that was just a picture stuck on screen and the several soldiers that were created just by copy and paste.

However, despite the lousy CG, the actors and actresses performed well.

Those who have seen this say, "Is it a historical drama or a sitcom?", "These are the worst msitakes made in drama history", "What have the actors done to deserve this? They deserve earnest work" and more.

Song Joong Ki's not so secret dating techniques

Previously, we reported on Song Joong Ki‘s shocking confession on how he was in a relationship for two years. Upon hearing the news, fans were desperate to find the identity of his girlfriend. On October 19th, Joong Ki finally released a statement on his dating life.

Song Joong Ki sat down for an interview with SBS‘s ‘One Night in TV Entertainment‘, and the interviewer asked questions about his current relationship status. Song Joong Ki boldly responded, “No comment. I enjoy dating in secret.”

However, the actor did reveal his techniques on how he’d go on his secret dates. “I don’t wear hats when I go on dates. People think we are just friends. We also don’t visit the city, but rather date in remote areas where there are elders,” he said.

The reporter then asked, “When you look at a woman, where do you look?“. The actor candidly replied, “Legs. I’m a guy too. I’m attracted to sexy body lines.”

The actor also expressed his interest in tall women when he revealed, “I don’t mind if she’s taller than me“. The interviewer asked whether he had any relationships with tall women, to which he confessed, “I’ve dated one for almost 2 years.”

Lastly, the actor shared, “Normally, I don’t show aegyo, but when I’m with my girlfriend I show it a lot.” Song Joong Ki was kind enough to exhibit his aegyo on set which caused the interviewer to blush heavily.

G-Dragon’s Marijuana Use Adds Risk to Korea Pop Music as YG Scales Back IPO

YG Entertainment Co., which manages the Korean boy band Big Bang, lowered the amount it’s seeking in its initial public offering after the band’s leader tested positive for marijuana use.

G-Dragon’s drug use could be a “constraint” for the band’s activities for a while, YG said in a revised prospectus submitted to Korea Exchange Inc. yesterday. Big Bang’s concerts may be delayed and revenue from commercials could fall, the company said. Big Bang and its members accounted for more than half of the company’s total sales in 2010, YG said.

YG is seeking as much as 35.9 billion won ($31 million), less than the 39.9 billion won it had earlier sought as Big Bang played to full stadiums in Japan and fans flocked to female quartet 2NE1, which is also managed by the company. Shares of listed rival S.M. Entertainment Co. more than tripled this year, even as the benchmark Kospi Index (KOSPI) slumped 9.5 percent.

“A short-term impact on earnings is inevitable given that G-Dragon was YG’s flagship artist and helped lift the company to the top ranks in the Korean music industry,” Choi Woong Pil, a Seoul-based fund manager at KB Asset Management Co., which manages $23 billion in assets, said in an interview. “It won’t end interest in the IPO because its main rival S.M. continues to perform really well and YG’s potential is intact.”

Popular girl groups Wonder Girls and Girls' Generation are coming back at the same time, and T-ara has vowed to compete in good faith.

On the 19th, T-ara were shooting scenes for their two-part music video "Cry Cry" and "lovey-dovey". During the shooting, they sat down for an interview.

They said, "The fact is that we are close to Girls' Generation and Wonder Girls sunbaes. With our three groups coming back at the same time and us all having three different colors, it'll be fun to watch."

Jaws are dropping over Ga In‘s bold photos for the latest edition of ‘Marie Claire‘ magazine.

The Brown Eyed Girls member is seen posing without a top, but the photo remains tasteful thanks to the strategic placing of her hands and the shearling coat covering her shoulders.

The concept matches her current look for "Sixth Sense" perfectly, as both themes carry the idea of a strong, confident woman who’s still very feminine.

Officials from the set praised Ga-In for her ability to take on a such a photoshoot, especially since she’s an idol. “She was able to grasp the concept well, and was able to deliver a series of fantastic poses.”

N.Korea Appears to Crackdown on Choco Pies in Kaesong

The amount of Choco Pie snacks consumed by North Korean workers in the Kaesong Industrial Complex, an inter-Korean project located in the North, has dropped significantly, according to sources on Wednesday.

One South Korean merchant who has been supplying the popular treat to the complex said, "The amount that I supplied suddenly dropped by around 30 to 40 percent last month." He added, "If other suppliers are facing the same situation, then the total amount of Choco Pie snacks consumed daily by North Korean workers there probably dropped from 200,000 to less than 150,000."

Pyongyang apparently told owners of South Korean businesses there to provide cash or instant noodles to North Korean workers instead of Choco Pie snacks. This has prompted North Korea experts to speculate that Pyongyang feels the chocolate-coated snacks are making it tougher for Kim Jong-il to maintain control over his people.

Panic Attack Causes Kim Jang-hoon to Cancel Concert

Singer Kim Jang-hoon was admitted to Hyundai Asan Hospital on Tuesday morning after suffering from a severe panic attack, an affliction that has haunted him since childhood.

Kim took part in a concert hosted by a cable TV channel in Seoul on Monday, but before he stepped onto the stage, he found himself struggling to breathe and felt pain in his chest, so he cancelled the engagement and went to the hospital, Kim's management agency said.

Typical symptoms of a panic attack include sudden feelings of fear and anxiety accompanied by chest pains, dizziness and the inability to breathe properly. In 2008, Kim confessed on a TV program that he has been suffering from such attacks since he was very young.

On the way to the Dokdo Islets for a concert to assert Korea's sovereignty over the territory, which Japan also claims, in March of this year, he suffered another attack on the boat there. He said he barely managed to make the five-hour trip to the islets with the help of some sedatives.

Cha Seungwon praises T-ara!

Actor Cha Seungwon praised the acting skills of T-ara members





Cha Seungwon met with some reporters on 20th October, at the venue of
T-ara's new MV shooting. He revealed, "The members are great in acting,
and they're experienced. As an actor, I felt that I have to work even
harder."



He continued the praise without saving any of them, "We have a lot to
shoot and it was tiring. But they smoothy done the shooting, while
expressing each characters with different colors. Of course, we can see
some individual variation. But everyone has an acting skill that is more
than advantage. They're some skilled friends who can do well in acting
and other directions."



Cha Seungwon revealed his decision of appearing in the MV. "After the
end of 'The Greatest Love', I wanted to act again. So I accepted this
offer. But the schedule is as hard as shooting an episode of a drama for
4 days. So now my interest in acting is slowly disappearing." (laughs)



This MV shooting is a huge project that spent 1.000.000.000 Won in the
making, and will be a 30-minute drama. The MV is directed by Cha
Euntaek, the master in MV shooting. Other than Cha Seungwon, Ji
Changwook and the members of T-ara will also appear in the MV.



Meanwhile, T-ara's new album that will be released on November has
became a hot news because of the participation of South Korea's best
song-writers like Jo Yeongsoo, Brave Brothers, Shinsadong Tiger, Kang
Jiwon, etc.

B1A4 Joins Jang Geun Suk’s Agency in Japan

Rookie group B1A4 signed a contract with Jang Geun Suk’s Japanese agency, making their venture into Japan official.

“B1A4 signed a contract with Pony Canyon, one of the largest Japanese agencies, and will hold its debut showcase on Dec. 9 in Japan,” B1A4 and Pony Canyon said in a statement.

Pony Canyon is a subsidiary of Japan’s giant media company, Fuji Sankei Communication Group, and has some of the best Japanese celebrities including w-inds, Aiko, Ueto Aya, and Jang Geun Suk under its wings.

“The decision to sign B1A4 was unprecedented in that they are a rookie group. However, despite being a rookie group, their high-quality music, polished choreography, and sophisticated fashion style make them one of the most promising Hallyu stars, so we decided to sign them. Jang Geun Suk too talked very highly of them,” Pony Canyon said in a statement.

B1A4 will hold their first Japanese performance on Dec. 9 in Tokyo under the title, “B1A4-Japan Showcase Live 2011.” In January, they will also release their first licensed CD, combining the tracks from their first two mini albums in Korea.

Teddy Riley, who recently produced SNSD‘s “The Boys“, recently revealed on Twitter that he’d like to work with solo singer BoA.

The producer tweeted, “I really wanna work with her… Its my dream to work with BoA.” Teddy Riley was responding to a tweet made by an SM Entertainment employee, who said that the company’s artists had arrived in Vancouver, Canada.

Is this a hint, or a possibility? Considering how Teddy Riley has worked with SM already, there’s a chance that he could link up with BoA for her next Korean album.
