I like that it's a story MV and that Eric actually has a rap part (it's not really a rap, but w/e) but I really wonder what's going on with the song in some places (esp around 2:00 O.O), that red haired girl looks so out of place, and I want to know who told them guns were for hitting people with. -.-

YG Entertainment’s Sean and G-Dragon recently paid a visit to former basketball coach Park Seung Il to lend their love and support.

Park Seung Il, who’s been fighting against Lou Gehrig’s disease, has been receiving visits from Sean ever since the star read his book, “Writing Hope With Eyes”. Back in November of 2009, Sean also started up various fundraising events to support nursing homes specialized for Lou Gehrig’s disease patients.

On August 22nd, Sean wrote on his Twitter, “Jiyong was my present. Jiyong went to visit Park Seung Il the day after his birthday." He continued, “Seung Il said it was such a great present. Seung Il had his birthday not long ago, and Jiyong said that he’ll come visit with a really great present next time.”

More heart touching photos )

On the same afternoon, Park Seung Il wrote on his internet cafe, “Sean brought along Jiyong not long ago. Jiyong held my hand the whole entire time.”

“Other stars, particularly men — or just men in general — don’t usually hold hands with other men because it can get awkward. But Jiyong was different. That friend’s hand was warm and you can tell that his heart is just as warm if you read his text message.”

“My text to Jiyong, ‘Jiyong-ah, because of you, I really want fundraising organizations for nursing homes to spread.’ Jiyong’s reply: ‘Right? I’m trying my best and there are so many good people in the world, but there are more people who don’t know how to solve it. I’ll come see you again after I’ve spread it around lots. ^^ Fighting!”

“I didn’t even ask Jiyong to do it, but whenever we took a picture, he’d hold up my book as if he were trying to promote it. Jiyong said he’d leave a comment on my cafe after reading my book.

“Lastly, what really touched me was when he said he’d make a song and submit it with my name as
the lyricist.
I’m deeply thankful.”

On August 21st, 6,000 people gathered at Oumi-Kita Futou Park in Odaiba for a protest against broadcast network Fuji TV. There was a big round of applause when the organizer shouted through the microphone, “I am thankful that many people gathered together.”

The media, including reporters from the Korean TV station SBS also visited the scene. Reporters from SBS showed anxiety as they said, “We are concerned about this movement.”

A little after 1:30 PM, the protesters started walking towards Fuji TV headquarters. They called out simple messages saying, “Fuji TV shouldn’t force Hallyu on us!” and “We don’t want to watch Korean dramas!“. This protest began after actor Takaoka Sosuke made remarks criticizing the growing Korean boom in entertainment. These citizens first took action on August 7th, when 2,500 people gathered in Odaiba and raised their voices saying, “Stop the Hallyu“. For that time, it was considered a ‘walk’ because it wasn’t an authorized protest. Later, the organizers uploaded a permit from the Tokyo Metropolitan Public Safety Commission onto the internet, and emphasized the validity of the protest, encouraging other people to join.

The demo had multiple live streamings on Ustream, which drew tens of thousands of viewers just before the event. On Twitter, people wrote, “I honestly didn’t think it would become this big,” while others tweeted information about the ‘demo supporters’.

The crowd heated up once they reached Fuji TV. They tried to appeal to the passer-byers, saying, “We are against biased reports.” When the head of the group reached their destination at around 2:15 PM, there was still a long line behind them, and they continued to march without interruptions for over an hour.

J-CAST News interviewed one of the representatives of the protest, who showed their astonishment at the large turnout. “We thought it would be a success if 1,000 people got together. We didn’t think we would gain so much sympathy from others.” They continued to explain, “The demo is a protest against Fuji’s biased reports, and how they’re pushing Hallyu onto us. It is not a claim of anti-Korea sentiments or hate towards Korea.”

Girl group KARA, who were once embroiled in a dispute with their management agency over a contract, performs at the 2011 Korean Music Wave Festival at the Incheon Munhak Stadium on Aug. 13.

Sexual overtones, lack of diversity among challenges to overcome

Since the Korean pop music idol group’ concerts in June in Paris, the K-pop industry is leading a second Korean Wave around the globe. This is the last installment of the two-part series of articles looks at the bright and dark sides of K-pop, respectively. ― Ed.

The K-pop boom and the popularity of Korean idols are often attributed to Korean entertainment agencies’ tough training that nurtures talented aspirants and turns them into global idol stars.

However, what one person might see as “passion and devotion” for practicing singing and dancing for long hours every day can be viewed by another as “exploitation” of young aspirants by management agencies.

After revealing her MV teaser for "Top Girl" earlier today, singer G.NA has now unveiled some stunning jacket photos from her second mini-album, "Top Girl"!

In the past, G.NA rocked concept looks that were both pretty ("I'll Back Off So You Can Live") and cute ("Black & White"). This time, she is a stylish 'top star' who's surrounded by luxury.

Cube Entertainment shared that the album jacket photos follow a concept called 'G.NA's Diary', in which photos will capture moments from G.NA's day as she engages in different situations. The three cuts revealed on August 21st are from the 'G.NA’s TONIGHT' segment, which show G.NA preparing for an after-party following a spectacular stage. Her glamorous shots transcend the typical boundaries of 'classic' and 'luxe' looks, and make it seem as if she were attending an awards show.

New Tohoshinki "We are back!" Their legend has started

Tohoshinki Yunho (25yr) and Changmin (23yr) have come back to mid-summer Osaka!

The 2nd day of "a-Nation 10th Anniversary for Life Charge ▼ Go! Wider in Jelly" (sponsored by Daily Sports) was held at Nagai stadium in Osaka on August 21. Tohoshinki passionately sang five songs including their past hit songs at their first a-nation stage after they became a duo. When Daily Sports interviewed them after the concert, they sent a message to their fans "Thank you for waiting. We are back!!".

They stood on their first a-nation stage after a two-year silence as New Tohoshinki. When Yunho and Changmin showed up in the darkness, the audience of more than 50 thousands welcomed them by thunderous applause and cheers.

They were not able to conceal their anxieties until just before their turn. Yunho said "We kept them waiting for two years, so I was concerned whether they still remember us...". Changmin said "I thought 'From when is the stage of the stadium so large?' and winced a little when I saw the venue full of audience from the backstage".

But the instance they stood on the stage, they saw their fans sending loud cheers with Tohoshinki goods in their hands. When Yunho said "I really love you (in Osaka dialect)" and Changmin said "Long time no see Osaka! I'm glad to see you again", the big excitement of the fans built up even more. After the concert, Changmin said with emotion "I felt so happy because they give us enthusiastic cheers the same as before".

According to @chrisvanho, he did some research about SNSDs new song (rumored) Hikkup. And he found this. This song, matched with their new title song and composer. As we all know, SM have habits to buy songs from underground singers and composers and make it rightfully and officially theirs. Nothing is confirmed tho. We can all take this as a hint.

Oh Ju-ri, the mother of two sons doing their compulsory South Korean military service, naturally worries about their health and safety -- but especially now.

Bullying, suspicious suicides and shooting incidents in the military have left many parents fretting over the fate of their conscripted sons, and they are now turning to a new Internet service to keep tabs on them.

In July, telecoms company LG Uplus launched an internet-based free TV channel that lets recruits at army boot camps broadcast live, a service that the 50-year-old mother of two conscripts wants to use to check on her sons.

Oh also meets other mothers online so they can share news, concerns and a snapshot at the boot camp on the Web - glimpses that might answer a mother's questions: Is he eating OK? Is he losing weight? Does he look happy?

He sings of a fantasy where everyone lives in peace, honesty, free-spirit, and full of humanity.

That's something Choi Sung-Bong never imagined to have even existed before signing up for the "Korea's Got Talent" show hosted by TVN, an entertainment cable channel, in South Korea.

The 22-year-old manual worker has been living like a "dayfly," as he calls it, barely making a living enough for a day.

But his baritone challenge at the finals on Saturday pulling out a powerful rendition of "Nella Fantasia," marked him first runner up following Joo Min-Jung, an 18-year-old popping dancer by only 280 votes.

It was the same song he had stunned the world with in the pre-trials in June when he told the judges of his tragic childhood story.
The video instantly became an international sensation )

I'm sad he didn't win. Expecialy since the winner, and 18 year old female dancer, had a choreography in the semi-finals that was stolen

JYJ's Jaejoong, currently starring in SBS's "Protect the Boss", is receiving praise from the production team with his honest, perfectionist attitude as an actor.

With "Protect the Boss" receiving great viewer ratings, Jaejoong is also receiving great reviews with his composed acting.

In particular, Jaejoong is receiving praise from the production team and senior actors. On a shoot that took place in a cafe in Gyeonggido, Jaejoong was seen closely reviewing his own acting in which he shot separately through a mini-camcorder.

The production team asked for his reasons in doing this, and Jaejoong replied, "When I monitor previous scenes like this, it helps me connect my emotions for the next scene", and "So I try my best to observe my acting right after the shoot and ask the opinions of other senior actors / actresses". Showing his hard work ethic, after answering the question he went right back to studying the script and the video clips on the mini-camcorder.

After seeing this, a staff member in the production team commented, "It's Jaejoong's first time acting on a drama series of this length, but he has, in all aspects, the highest work ethic along with humility... So everyone on the staff loves him, and as the senior actors / actresses praised, he will make it big as an actor in the future" giving him the highest praise.
