Although they’ve just released their debut music video, girl group Stellar have been slammed with a ban from KBS for sexually suggestive content in “Rocket Girl“.
Composed by Kim Do Hyun (of Lee Hyori’s hit track, “10 Minutes“), “Rocket Girl” carried a theme of enjoying life with confidence. The music video itself fits the song’s quirky atmosphere, but KBS viewed the music video as too offensive, as it contained sexually suggestive scenes of the members in leggings and violent content involving gun fights.
MBC and SBS passed the music video with no problems.
A representative of Stellar’s agency revealed, “The music video features a lot of impressive scenes, but it’s been met with an unexpected ban from KBS. Unfortunately, we were left with no choice but to re-edit the entire music video, deleting scenes that had fighting and the members’ sexy outfits.”
They continued, “Fortunately, KBS accepted the re-evaluation and passed the music video. Due to requests from fans, we will be releasing the unedited music video in full through YouTube at a later date.”

So the version that was released was the edited version. I'm curious to see what the original looks like now :x

Ji Sung and Kim Jaejoong of the drama Protect the Boss wage the War of the Princes.
On the episode of SBS Wed-Thursday drama Protect the Boss that will air on August 24, Jihun and Muwon who are directors of headquarters for DN Group in the drama are planned to roll out an all-out fight.
The filming took place in a book café that is located in Hairi, Paju on August 19. Rehearsal took place multiple times and when the cue sign by the Sohn Junghyun PD fell, Ji Sung first kicked Kim Jaejoong’s foot to begin the fight. Soon the two clutched each other’s hair and even rolled on the ground.
After doing so, they immersed themselves while lying down in examining the script to check their acting against each other’s. Soon they fought fiercely, to the degree that it seemed to be a real fight. The citizens who were watching the scene from outside expressed their concern to the production crew, asking “what is Mr. Ji Sung and Mr. Jaejoong fighting about?” and even watched on with curious eyes.
The all-out fight that took place as such between Ji Sung and Kim Jaejoong took place over 3 hours. Choi Kanghee unfolded an acting that had her character express indecision as to what to do. At last when the OK sign by Sohn PD fell, the two dusted off their clothes and got up and took care of each other to make sure that there were no hurts or injuries as if they were real brothers. They thus received a round of applause from the production crew.
The production crew introduced the scene as follows: “The all-out fight between the two was reminiscent of the fight for the position of successor to the group, and so we termed it the War of the Princes. Please watch as to how the two treat each other with this incident as the impetus.”

Tohoshinki: ~From Boys to Men~
Tohoshinki restarted their activities at the beginning of this year. They appeared on ViVi after a one and half year absence. During the time, they matured and we couldn't see the little boys we had known in them any more. Today, we asked them to look back their growth over the time.
Tohoshinki Interview
About New Album
Everything, such as voice and atmosphere, has become manlier!
You will be releasing the new album for the first time in two and half years, right?
YH: Yes, it's been a long time. I'm happy to introduce our new album at last.
CM: I believe fans will realize we have become manlier than before, for example, our way of singing and the entire atmosphere.
YH: I think the new album gives a more mature image musically. It mainly consists of dance music, but also contains various kinds of music such as ballad and soul-ish music. We are confident in the quality of the album. Oh, it can't be expressed in words. So please listen to our album. All messages that we'd like to convey now are in there.
CM: That's well said! *laugh*

The hallyu wave has swept the Asian regions, and in the neighbouring Japan, there are some that are pro-hallyu, and those that are anti-hallyu. The Japanese weekly magazine “Flash” published an article stating that the South Korean stars were simply in Japan for the money, and also revealed the appearance fees of several “big players.”

Fresh public debates have been ignited over songs labeled by censors as “harmful to youth” due to the mention of alcohol-related phrases in the lyrics.
Some popular K-pop songs like “Day When It Rains” by boy band Beast and “You Can Eat Well” by the male duo Homme have been banned for those under 19 by the Youth Protection Committee (YPC) under the Ministry of Gender Equality & Family for containing lyrics about alcohol.
Among the lyrics of “Day When It Rains” is the line, “I should stop drinking as I’m drunk.” The song “You Can Eat Well” contains the lines,“I’ll drink heavily with my friends to forget everything” and “Blub, blub, blub after I drank heavily yesterday.”
The YPC monitors all newly released albums and rates songs according to their use of profane language, references to drugs or sexual references.

It’s the quickest game of PR see-saw we’ve seen in a while, but it looks like the drama surrounding Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young’s relationship has finally come to an end. Lee Min Ho’s agency, StarHaus Entertainment, has finally confirmed on August 23rd that the two stars are dating!
Representatives from StarHaus Entertainment stated through Star News, “It seems there have been some misunderstandings.” They continued, “We were simply wary about how some media outlets were using the term ‘fervent love’ to describe their relationship.”
“Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young have known each for a while, and they were able to draw strength from each other during their long recordings for ‘City Hunter‘. It is true that these two have developed warm feelings for one another.”
In effect, the representatives are cautiously acknowledging (once again) that Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young are indeed dating. After witnessing the acknowledgment, denial, and now confirmation of the stars’ one-month relationship, fans are now sending the couple their warmest congratulations.

[UPDATE] added some details that were only in the allkpop article.

Due to the intense interest surrounding a supposed “leaked demo” of SNSD’s new single, representatives of SM Entertainment were forced to release a statement in order to clarify the issue.
Recently, a video was posted on YouTube under the caption “SNSD 3rd full album demo song leaked“. Netizens discovered that a song made by Andrew Jackson called “Hiccup” was listed under SNSD on the Korea Music Copyright Association website. It lead them to visit Andrew Jackson’s MySpace page, and after hearing the track, fans began to believe that SNSD’s demo song had indeed been leaked.
A SM Entertainment representative explained, “This song will not be included in the album that SNSD will be releasing in Korea soon. The future of this song has not yet been confirmed.”
In the end, the supposed ‘leaked demo’ was only a track buoyed up by speculation and rumors. Currently, the video has been erased at the request of the agency.
Meanwhile, SNSD is currently promoting activities in Japan while preparing for a comeback in Korea as well.
