Last month, singer Younha announced that she’d be suing her agency, Lion Media, in addition to terminating her contract with them due to its questionable validity.
On August 23rd, the Seoul Central District Court revealed to Star News that Lion Media would be counter-suing the singer for $1 million USD. The court explained, “Younha’s agency, Lion Media, has filed a counter suit against Younha for $ 1 million USD to recover damages they suffered from Younha’s breach of contract.”
Responding, Younha’s legal team team, “When the time Younha signed the contract, she was merely a 15 year old minor who knew nothing of the realities of the industry. She signed an exclusive contract with unfair terms.”
The two parties will be opening a mediation date on September 21st.
