Shinhwa's Comeback Is Now Official!

Shinhwa have officially announced that they will be making their comeback as a group next March!
On August 1st, Shinhwa’s representatives revealed, “Shinhwa will be releasing a new album next March. They will be launching a concert, as well as promoting actively on broadcast programs. Starting in March, they will have three months of promotional activities. An Asian tour is still under discussion.”
As the longest standing idol group in the K-Pop industry (13 years!), Shinhwa briefly halted their activities as a group when the members went away to fulfill their military duties. The group will finally come together in March with Lee Min Woo as the last discharge.
The representative continued, “It is true that the members have been holding positive discussions about a comeback. After establishing Shinhwa Company, the members are working out the finer details of their return.”

Starship calls Soyou fat

Girl group SISTAR will be making an official comeback this month, and it’s been revealed that member Soyu lost 8 kg for her new image.
Representatives of Starship Entertainment revealed, “To prepare for SISTAR’s comeback, Soyu has been exercising and dieting for four weeks, which successfully resulted in an 8 kg weight loss. Before, she was rather chubby for a girl group member, but now she’s transformed with a toned body.”
SISTAR will be releasing their first official album on August 9th. Representatives made sure to ask fans to anticipate a more charismatic return.

T-ara Ji Yeon’s older brother Park Hyo Joon has been drawing a lot of interest lately. His tall height (6 ft tall), clean skin, and stylish fashion sense, not to mention his relationship with Ji Yeon, has made him one of the more popular models out there. Currently, Park Hyo Joon is modeling for Noh Hong Chul’s online shopping mall (www.nohongchul.com).
“I used to get really upset when people would recognize me only as Ji Yeon’s brother, not as model Park Hyo Joon. But now I just wish the best for my sister. I’ll continue to work hard as a model and diversify my activities to perhaps become a singer in the future too,” Park Hyo Joon said.
“Park Hyo Joon has all the qualities a top model needs. He’s tall, has a small face, and is stylish, he fit the profile I was looking for. Plus, his innocent and clean-cut image allows him to perfectly model for different types of styles,” Noh Hong Chul said.
He’s still only 19 so there’s tons of potential for this aspiring model/musician. We hope he continues to strive and achieve his dream in the future!

F.T. Island have successfully concluded their Japanese nationwide tour, “FTISLAND Tour 2011 Summer Final Messenger“!
The tour began on June 29th in Nagoya and moved through Osaka, Tokyo, Fukuoka and many others, bringing in a total of 30,000 fans. Their finale drew 10,000 fans who created a sea of yellow with their specially prepared lightsticks.
Kicking off the finale concert with “Brand New Days“, the band went on to perform “Itsuka” and “Let It Go“.
F.T. Island went through four years of performing as an indie band before making their major debut. Since this tour marked the culmination of their achievements over a year and two months, it was all that more special for both the members and the fans. Tickets had sold out in just 12 minutes of going on sale!
F.T. Island will be returning to Korea for a two-day “PLAY FTISLAND” concert on August 20th and 21st.

"Because we're too young, we couldn't watch 'Gisaeng Spirit' and had to return to our dorm..."
The summer film "Gisaeng Spirit" with Han Eunjung and T-ara's Hyomin was decided as inappropriate for youth.
T-ara members Jiyeon and Hwayoung both turned 18 this year. Because the movie is rated 19+, they're unable to see it. Recently, Hyomin and actress Han Eunjung hosted a VIP premiere party for "Gisaeng Spirit" and even Jiyeon and Hwayoung were seen there with the other members of T-ara, but unlike their members, they had to return to their dorm while the others watched the movie.
T-ara's Jiyeon said in a recent interview, "Me and Hwayoung couldn't see the movie because of the age limit restriction, so we had to go back to our dorm. We are both still only high school students."
Jiyeon continued, "Just us two went back alone in the car. When my unnies came back to the dorm they said things like, 'It was so interesting and scary.' Because I couldn't see the movie, I was disappointed but I'm also curious about it now."
Meanwhile, "Gisaeng Spirit" is about the spirit of a child that possesses another person's body and commits gruesome murders. Lee Hyungseok, Han Eunjung, and Hyomin play the lead roles.
The publisher for the movie said, "The emotional development with the charters, intense and dramatic visuals and chilling effects make it a hot movie for the summer."
"Gisaeng Spirit" opens on August 4th.

Korea's longest running idol group Shinhwa, which celebrated its 13th anniversary this year, has officially launched its Shinhwa Company.
Shinhwa is the one and only Korean idol which has stayed together without any member replacements. It is the first time in K-Pop history that the members of a group have personally established a management company, continuing its group legacy. Thus, the news of their comeback has grabbed the attention of many officials in the business.
The six members of Shinhwa--Eric, Kim Dongwan, Shin Hyesung, Lee Minwoo, Jun Jin, and Andy--personally invested in and found Shinhwa Company, and revealed their future plans as Shinhwa.

Super Junior member Choi Siwon has been confirmed to be the male lead character on KBS new Monday-Tuesday drama “POSEIDON”. On August 1, according to the production staff, Siwon will take part as a member of maritime police and is expected to show a strong masculine beauty. Siwon with the whole casts of Poseidon will gather to do script rehearsal on August 2 before the real filming begins. ‘POSEIDON’ will be broadcast in September to follow up ‘Spy Myeongwol’ as a blockbuster drama which is about the commitment of maritime police.

On August 1st, Seo Taiji left a message for his beloved fans on his official homepage after his divorce settlement with actress Lee Ji Ah. The message was simply titled as, “August 1st“.
Seo Taiji started his heartfelt message by writing, “First, I want to thank you guys for patiently waiting for me even in this time of chaos. I’ve come to many realizations from watching you guys during this incident“. He then continued, “Who I was to you guys? Being dedicated fans of mine for 19 years, I was able to realize again how much you guys meant to me and the many things you guys have endured."
In addition he wrote, “Looking back, although having a perfect image was good, I wished that I showed a more natural side of me. From now on, I’m looking forward to sharing a more real side of me… All my music is and was only for you guys so I wish that you guys would stop hurting. Lee Hyori hasn’t released any albums since her 4th album from April of last year. Lee Hyori’s agent stated that her next album will be released later this year. She is presently choosing songs for the album.
Her agent also explained that if the album isn’t released this year for some unavoidable reason, Lee Hyori will still appear on variety or entertainment shows.
Currently, Lee Hyori is taking legal action against a songwriter on her last album for plagiarism. Because of what had happened, Lee Hyori is paying close attention in her new album to make sure this doesn't happen again.
Her agent also commented that Lee Hyori would like to try filming in a drama or movie if she has time.
Meanwhile, Lee Hyori released two songs to help disowned animals in April and July, donating all profits.

Super Junior’s four-dimensional member and the chairman of celebrity group called ‘Chocoball‘, Kim Heechul, recently talked about his concerns on life after his future enrollment in the army.
On August 1st, on the summer vacation special edition of MBC’s ‘Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Won Hee’s Play With Me‘, Heechul confessed, “My normal image on broadcasts is being a bit abnormal so I’m not sure that after 2 years of military service, the public would accept my abnormalities again” showing some signs of concern.
Kim Heechul also anxiously added, “If you fall from a low status, you can go right back. But if you fall from a very high place, it’s going to be really difficult to climb back up. Especially now that I’ve already reached my peak…” accumulating a slight resentment from the ‘Chocoball’ members because of Heechul’s self-pride in his popularity.
However, Kim Heechul disregarded the fellow members and commented, “I wonder if many people would still accept me, would I have as much freedom as now?”
Meanwhile, ‘Chocoball’ is a Korean acronym for ‘People who are a bit psychotic but with elevated charms every time you look at them’. The group is comprised of celebrities with the AB blood type.
All able bodied Korean men must serve anywhere from 21 to 25 months in a military branch before they turn 31.

The event was organized by Anna Siergiej from Replay Team (a Polish fan club for SHINee). According to Anna, the event was prepared in a week, and 400 fans of various K-Pop artists came together in Warsaw to participate and show their love.
