Soshified Puts Up SNSD Billboard + Donates to Japanese Relief

August 5th marks the 4th anniversary of Girls' Generation, who debuted on August 5th, 2007. Soshified will be posting a 30-second digital billboard advertisement which they produced, in celebration of Girls' Generation 4th anniversary. It contains an introductory video of all the 9 members in Girls' Generation. This billboard advertisement is part of Soshified's efforts in promoting Girls' Generation and Soshified's push for a "Global Generation" image. You can watch the clip below.

Soshified's Japan Relief Fund Project for the victims of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami tragedy saw generous contributions from 480 members over 32 countries including USA, UK, Singapore, Australia, Europe, Brazil raising a net total of US$33,500 through a 3-week donation drive from 12th of March 2011 to 31st of March, 2011.

For those of you who are not in the know, No Gi Tae, or 2Face, once collaborated with Dong Ho, from U-Kiss, to sing a song named Love Manual. Sol Flower's most memorable song is called Kiss The Kids, a song about a Korean girl, who was adopted and was brought overseas, going back to Korea to meet her birth parents.

Japanese Musical Director Hishinuma Taeko Praises TVXQ And Worries About Newer K-Pop Groups

With the upcoming press conference of ’200 Pound Beauty’ in Tokyo, Shochiku Company’s content creation director Hishinuma Taeko(54) visited Korea. She held a meeting in the CJ E&M office on the 21st and said, “The performances of Korean musical actors are of a very high quality. Production companies need to be aware of the fact that Korean musicals are of a high caliber and should be exported overseas actively.”

She said, “The perception of Korean musicals in Japan has changed greatly since the Japanese debut of ‘Goong The Musical’,” and “There were many critics who highly praised the production.” She showed surprise at the fact that small-scale musicals in Daehakro, Seoul are the rage in Korea while in Japan, license performance in large theaters take up the majority of productions.

Regarding the K-pop and Korean drama craze of the Hallyu Wave, she pointed out, “When TVXQ debuted in Japan in the past, they were thorough in their preparations which lead people to think, ‘K-Pop is of an extremely high caliber’. But these days, K-Pop groups are appearing in the Japanese market who severely lack in preparation when compared to TVXQ.” She also said, “Usually, plans for musicals are completed two or three years before the actual performance, but in Korea, there are many musicals in which the cast has not been finalized though the performances will begin in the later half of the year.”

T-ara's "Roly Poly" spends five consecutive weeks at the top of MV charts

T-ara's "Roly-Poly" music video has spent five consecutive weeks at the top of the music video charts.

On the 31st it was revealed that T-ara's "Roly-Poly" music video has been occupying the top of the Korean music video charts and TV weekly charts for five weeks straight (GomTV).

The rep continued, "Popular idol groups like 2NE1, Miss A and MBLAQ have had their comebacks, but it has not affected the standing of 'Roly-Poly' and it has firmly stood as the leader."

"Roly-Poly" is the work of Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyusung. A charming song inspired by retro times with a modern music twist.

Meanwhile, T-ara will release their summer vacation Euro-dance version of "Roly-Poly" on August 2nd.
