Bi Rain at “The Best 2011 Rain Asia Tour” Singapore Press Conference

All-round world star, Bi Rain held his “The Best 2011 Rain Asia Tour″ Singapore press conference on May 21, 2011, at Marina Bay Sands. Rain is topped "The Most Influential People in the World" by Time Magazine 2011, and is here in Singapore for his "The Best 2011 Rain Asia Tour" concert which will be held on May 22, 2011 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

So, what can his fans lookout for at the concert? With a water conservation theme for Singapore’s stop, 1000 litres of water will be used for a 2.5 minute rain falling scene during the concert. After which, the 1000 litres of water will be re-used to spread the message of water conservation in Singapore. In addition, there would be a laser show, specialized props and also a long runway for better interaction with fans. Rain will also be inviting one lucky female fan on stage to serenade at the song - My Lady.

Rain will be performing over 20 songs during his concert, showcasing approximately 200 pieces of costumes. Rain discussed about the various costumes with his stylists, and there is nothing in particular he would not wear since it is all for performance; thus, he hopes that his fans will understand when he wears too few pieces of clothes.

T-ara's smexy Eunjung shared some new selcas on her Twitter account.

She uploaded the photos on her Twitter on 21st May with caption "Yesterday night...me."

Eunjung was casted in horror movie White: Cursed Melody and the movie will premiere on June 9, 2011. She was having dinner when the photo was taken, she posed with the fork to create subtle fear.

Besides, she also posed with cup showing her innocence.

After revealing a music video teaser earlier last week, the tracklist to Jang Woohyuk's new mini album was released on the Internet.

Back in 1997, popular idol group H.O.T had a hit song called "We Are The Future". Fourteen years later, H.O.T member Jang Woohyuk brings back the idol group's flavors by releasing an album titled "I Am The Future". This new release will be his third solo album, and his first since he completed his army service.

For this release Jang Woohyuk worked together with underground rapper J'Kyun, Jo Eunhee and former Untitle member Seo Junghwan. It features 5 songs and 2 instrumentals.

Song Ji-seon found dead in apparent suicide attempt

Song Ji-seon, a female MBC announcer, was found dead on Monday after apparently jumping from her 19th-floor apartment in Seocho-dong, southern Seoul.

Song, 30, was found bleeding and unconscious by a janitor of the 25-story officetel about 1:45 p.m. on Monday and was carried to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Police believe Song jumped from her apartment in an apparent suicide; a window in her apartment could be seen open after Song was found on the ground

Song was in the media spotlight on May 7 when a posting on her Tweeter, implying her intention to commit suicide, prompted police officers and 119 emergency workers to rush to her residence. In a later posting, she denied writing the first posting, although admitting that she contemplated killing herself over personal issues.

Song had been ensnared in a love scandal with a professional baseball player, for which she was suspended temporarily from the announcer's role on a daily baseball program on MBC Sports Plus. MBC Sports Plus was scheduled to announce punishment measures against her regarding the scandal yesterday afternoon.

In an interview with a local media outlet on Sunday, Song admitted that she had been dating Im Tae-hoon, 23, a pitcher for the Seoul-based Doosan Bears, for one and a half years.

On the same day, the Bears claimed the love affair between Im and Song was not true and Im wanted to be fully devoted to baseball.

iim, demoted to the Bears' minor league team after the scandal made tabloid headlines, returned to his original position on the Bears on Sunday.

After Song's death, Im's Internet pages were full of postings criticizing him and holding him responsible for her death.

Alex's Double Sided Cover Attracts Attention

Alex's return as a solo artist after 3 years has become a hot topic. In 2008, Alex released his first album "My Vintage Romance." Alex's 2nd studio album "Just Like Me" will feature a reversal jacket photo and is set to be released on May 24th. On May 19th, Alex revealed his title song "Same Dream" as a digital single ahead of his album release.

The two jacket covers show a "romantic" Alex versus a "chic" Alex. In the "romantic" cover, Alex is seen with his hair slightly covering his eyes and giving off a dreamy look. On the other hand, the "chic" cover, shows Alex with slicked back hair and black sunglasses adorning his face, showing off his masculinity.

LeeU's withdrawal decided in February?/F.cuz releasing first Japanese single

Japan staff directly in contact with the members of F.cuz have posted information about LeeU's withdrawal on the Staff Blog from the group's official Japanese site.

Apparently LeeU's withdrawal from the group was already decided around February when Kan got into a car accident. His company, Castle J Enterprise, decided to withdraw from the contract with Union Can, the company that is responsible for F.cuz' other members Yejun, Kan and Jinon. Due to this happening, LeeU was given the choice to either move companies and stay with F.cuz, or to stay in his original company and go solo. After thinking about it, LeeU decided to stick with his original company.

World's Biggest Floating Island Unveiled in South Korea

Thousands of onlookers turned out in Seoul, South Korea on Saturday for the unveiling of the world's largest artificial 'floating island'.

Situated on Seoul's Han River, the island houses a cultural center and is the latest addition to the city's multi-billion dollar makeover.

[Oh Se-hoon, Mayor of Seoul]:

"We're progressing [with] works to make an icon symbolising the city by adding cultural and arty functions to representative natural landscapes such as Han River or Namsan. This 'floating island' is precisely [such a] representative and symbolic place."

Only part of the nearly 220 thousand square-foot development was opened on Saturday. The rest is scheduled for completion in September. The project is privately funded at a cost of about 88 million US dollars.

Yoon Do Hyun rocks the stage with “Run Devil Run” remake

 On May 21st, veteran singer Yoon Do Hyun dominated the stage of MBC’s “I Am a Singer” with a hard rock remix of SNSD’s “Run Devil Run”.

This week’s mission required the artists to perform a song recommended by netizens. Yoon Do Hyun was actually in the worst possible condition to be performing in, but through the support of fellow contestant Im Jae Bum, the singer was able to overcome his unfavorable throat condition.

In the viewers’ opinions, Yoon Do Hyun performed his most explosive stage to date, which put all of the rumors surrounding him and the show to rest. Viewers and audience members alike were especially ecstatic with his clever use of a megaphone near the climax of the song.

Originating from Korea, 6-member male dance group 2PM's Japan debut single "Take off" (released May 18) has made it's first entrance on the May 30 Oricon Weekly Single Chart at 4th place. 59,000 copies were sold in the first week, exceeding the 45,000 copies 9-member girl group SNSD sold for their Japan debut single "GENIE" (released September of last year) in its first week, thus recording the highest amount sold in the first week for any Korean group's debut single ever (excluding units, etc, derived from groups).

Called "Beast Idols" in Korea with their disciplined physical beauty and powerful, dynamic performances, 2PM is a 6-member group comprised of Taecyeon (22), Nichkhun (22), Wooyoung (22), Junho (21), Junsu (23), and Chansung (21). The release of their Japan debut DVD 'Hottest~2PM 1st MUSIC VIDEO COLLECTION & The History~' in November last year recorded the highest ranking of any Korean male group debut DVD at 4th place.
