somehow these weren't included in the previous post IU wasn't as good as the others but she was freaking adorable + Son Dambi was graceful as expected + Anyone else who's reminded of Hikaru's Kiss & Cry ?

Oh He pulled a Plushenko ^^. Nice but Pushy did it better obviously.
Omg I can't with Korean tv and the fact that they keep repeating small scenes two or three times in a row. It gets on my nerve sfm! Come on now. /ends rants.
Son Dambi did really good, more so than IU imo sad to say because I'm an IU fan because she did more and skates better. But I looked like the judges. Bored. A lot of back skating and show, where the past skaters showed some audience interaction, which I think the judges have gotten used to. And the song was boring. Despite being someone who loves off notes in songs, the off notes in it pissed me off royally.
Guyyyyys, Son Dambi's probably bored you because it's a remix of a really super classical ballet (Dying Swan) which traditionally mostly just involves arm waves and gliding around the stage on tippy toes. Obviously it's not very entertaining but it's been around for eons because the (informed) audience usually just wants to see the dancer get all into their character's pain and dying toward the end.
It's really, truly, not that very interesting from a viewer's point of view, but it's super demanding technically (tippy toes for the whole 3-ish minute song) which is why it's still being praised and venerated as a prima ballerina's wet dream to this day.
From an ex-ballerina's point of view (me, that is), she performed well. She showed emotion in her eyes and she incorporated the arm waving from the original ballet. Maybe not the dying part, but she performed well for an unsteady skater.
My problem w/her performance was the fact that was using ballet music straight up :/ The way I see it, if you're going to come out in a tutu and "skate" to an incredibly iconic piece of music that anyone will identify as ballet... you better have skate like a ballerina on ice, that is w/the posture, grace, lightness, and extensions characteristics of ballerinas. Obviously, Dambi can't as she can barely stand on her skates as it is. It would have done her a lot more good imo to pick a more current and "exciting" piece of music such as Yunho's Beat It or something to cover up her tech issues w/her skill as a performer rather than skate to a piece of music that will not only highlight your tech issues but be boring performance wise.
Dambi really shouldn't have picked such an iconic ballet piece :/ It just showcases her imo in the worst way. Complete lack of extensions + repetitive moves + tech issues? No. At least w/say Yunho, he had the performance factor going for him but Dambi didn't. Would have been far better imo for her to skate to a more "exciting" sound imo.
IU... I don't even get the point of her performance O.o Wait, was it... skate around, look cute, fall, get up and look cute? I'm sorry but... no, just no. Please attempt something aside from the aegyo shiz.
To be fair, ballet and figure skating are closely linked since ballet has influenced FS a lot aesthetically speaking. But yeah, just because you're a good dancer doesn't mean you're going to be a good skater. Completely different technical skillset. But even the aesthetic portion... that does come until after the skater's mastered the basics which Dambi was lacking in.
But sometimes, ballet does transition brilliantly onto the ice. For example...
Does anyone know the name of the Korean male judge? I can't find the names of any of the judges anywhere other than Yuna and David and I don't care about either of them at the moment, so that information's useless.
IU was adorable even though she really didn't do a whole lot on the skating front...at least she put a lot of joy into her performance. I can't figure out why Son Dambi's was so...uninspiring :( Maybe it's that the mood of the music didn't suit her? Maybe she wasn't enjoying it? I dunno but even though she did some difficult moves it still looked kinda flat...

LMAO. Maybe they should get Jessica to cheer for Krystal in the audience. The guy would be jizzing with fanboy glee.
