On May 13th, miss A’s Suzy guested on SBS’s “Dalgona” and revealed her younger brother, Bae Sang Moon, for the first time on TV.
The episode was especially important to Suzy because she wasn’t able to personally visit her hometown, but was still able to watch video messages sent by family members. Her younger brother, who’s currently in his third year of junior high school, revealed a hilarious story of Suzy’s moodiness.

DNT READY FOR COMEBACK

DNT (Dragon 'n Tiger) is a 4-membered dance/ballad boy group which made its debut on August 12, 2008. After a few line-up changes, Orange Entertainment revealed that their boy group will be making a comeback in May.
Apart from leader Moon Junyoung and vocal Park Byungkyu, no original members are left in the group. DNT's last line-up featured 5 members but due to the enlistment of Dongwook and Karin, they were pushed back to a 3-piece unit. Original member Chiho, who has just come back from the army himself, will be filling in for the missing members in this new release.
Though this original member is helping them out for this release, there hasn't been an official statement saying he's back in the group. Orange Entertainment will be revealing more information surrounding their comeback later this week. The new single's release is set for May 10th.

Well, it seems the release is a little later than planned as one of DNT's managers just released the 'Making Of' video for their new sing, "Time Is". Hopefully we'll see the full MV soon! ( Making of Time Is )
Cha Woobin also released a recorded performance the boys did (Chiho included) on May 4th of "I'm A Lover" which was their first single. ( I'm A Lover )

WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS MY EXCITEMENT!! These guys are seriously underrated and I can't wait to see how this new single does. I just hope they have a chance to perform more in lives. Also, for anyone that wants to learn more about them, Koreaboo did a spotlight piece on them not too long ago.

In a suicide note, the 27-year-old said she was forced to have sex against her will and was no longer able to stand the abuse from customers and the bar owner.
Her death has brought 63 civic groups across the nation to join forces to call for a thorough investigation behind the deaths and measures to regulate the prevalence of prostitution in Korea.

Experts say the thriving hostess culture has a long history.
“It’s the legacy of the male-dominant and authoritarian eras,” said Lee Na-young, a professor at the Department of Sociology of ChungAng University. “But we haven’t had a chance to change such a bad tradition and a lot of females still work to serve male customers and are exploited.”
The sex industry was fueled by a “twisted entertainment culture” through which businessmen used prostitution as a means for bribery, she said.
She also pointed out that women had few chances to be properly educated and get a decent job in the male-dominated society.
“There were only limited options for them. Simply speaking, they had to work at a factory or at a bar or something. Things have changed, but still such an exploitive and discriminative social system leads a lot of women to work to serve male customers at bars and clubs,” she said.
However, one of the biggest problems in the prostitution business is it’s almost impossible for women to earn any money to pay off their debts as most of it goes to pimps and bar owners, she added.

Rainbow sings for the ‘Zoobles’ OST

After receiving the opportunity to sing for the drama “Twinkle, Twinkle“, Rainbow has received another opportunity to participate in an OST, this time for “Zoobles“, a global animation.
Rainbow received the opening song – titled “I Love Zoobles” – for the animation and sang it with a cute youthfulness to match the show’s characters. In addition, they sang the ending song as well.

The days of lip-syncing and hand-syncing may finally be coming to an end, as it was recently revealed that a bill for banning the two acts was presented to the Korean government.
To clarify the bill proposed by the Liberty Forward Party., lip-syncing and hand-syncing are acts of mimicry, in which the artist pretends to be singing or playing an instrument.

Even if they’re good words or bad words, they’re in too many places ~ ^^,,,
When I read nice words, I get a lot of strength and think to myself that I should work harder. On the other hand, when I read hate replies about switching to a different group, I won’t like them anymore, they’re not good, why are they like that, stuff like that, it bothers me a lot and it’s hard for me,,,T__T
I thought about it. The people who give us hurt and those people who wait for us until the end and support us are separate ~
I felt like if I hung on to those hate replies and had a hard time, I wouldn’t be able to show the people who support us a good and developing image of me, so I’ve decided to stop doing social networking ~ ^^
I’ve decided to empty my mind and throw away the image I’ve shown everyone until now ~ +_+
I’ll throw away my inside and outside image and appear as a new person ~ ^^
Let’s meet at comeback ~ ^^

Their MV is featured as the most popular video under the ‘Music’ category on Youtube in 10 different countries including South Korea, India, Japan, New Zealand, France, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Argentina, Canada, Hong Kong, and South Africa.
2NE1′s new song “Lonely” was released at midnight on May 12th and not long after it took over the #1 spot various online charts including MelOn, Mnet, Bugs, Soribada, Dosirak, Monkey3, etc making the song an ALL-KILL.
Meanwhile, 2NE1′s upcoming mini-album which includes a total of 6 tracks is set to release on June 23, 2011.

At the start of this month, Koreaboo reported a list of around 19 artists announced at Dream Concert’s official website and Twitter. Since then, more artists have been added and the confusion with ZE:A and Brown Eyed Girls’ Jea has also been cleared up.
In the new line-up, nor ZE:A or Jea are listed as performers, while Kim Taewoo, Eru, Flower, Seo Inkook, 5dolls, Rainbow and SHINee have been added as confirmed acts.
