BEAST announces 2nd Japanese single, “BAD GIRL”

On May 13th Korean group, BEAST / B2ST held a “high five” meeting event in PACIFICO Yokohama. Those who purchased their debut Japanese single, “SHOCK” were able to attend the event.

Because of the Tohoku earthquake in March, the event was postponed back until May 13th. Even though the event happened two months later than originally intended, more than 10,000 fans attended the event and were able to high five the members.
The group also announced the release of their 2nd Japanese single, “BAD GIRL“. The single is set to release on June 15th. As opposed to their debut single, “BAD GIRL” is described as a cute pop love song.

The single will come in 4 versions, the limited editions coming with DVD. No other information has been revealed other than covers and the coupling song on the each CD will be remixed by different artists, 80kidz, fine Rockets, FIREWORK DJs, and SONPUB.

Brown Eyed Girls/ ‘adult idol’ Narsha, who is known to be full of comedic charms, revealed a ‘rotten smile’ sel-ca.
On May 14th, Narsha uploaded the pictures on her Twitter, tweeting, “I can’t see my perm. As a commemoration of my perm, respectfully~ with a larva badge attached to my jacket.”
In the pictures, Narsha is wearing a pair of large glasses and has her hands folded over each other – making a cautionary pose. However, altering from the pose, she has a rotten smile expression on her face, further gathering the interest of netizens.

Netizens stated, “Did you just send me a rotten smile?”, “I really can’t see your perm”, and “You are an adult idol, but your actions are the same as IU.”

Former H.O.T member and Singer Hee Jun Moon's little sister Hye Ri Moon made a surprise public appearance on TV.

On the MBC family variety show, "Flower Bouquet" [kkot da bahr], former H.O.T member Hee Jun Moon's little sister Hye Ri Moon made an appearance with her brother on the show; where she revealed the story behind her reasons for studying abroad in Japan.

Hye Ri Moon explained that "There was a scandal about me and Kangta Oppa, who was part of group H.O.T that my brother [Hee Jun] was a member of" and that "at that time the oppas of H.O.T claimed I wasn't a fan of H.O.T in an interview to protect me. H.O.T was the idol of teenagers all over, and because of the scandal I became the enemy of all teenage girls at the time."

Big Bang’s T.O.P doesn’t know how to drive?

As previously reported, Big Bang recently guested on MBC’s “Infinity Challenge” and participated in the ‘Gangs of Seoul‘ special.  While filming for the popular variety show, charismatic rapper T.O.P shocked everyone by revealing that he didn’t have a driver’s license.

During the segment, Big Bang moved to Han River to meet up with the “Infinity Challenge” members. Jung Joon Ha, who was driving the car, tried to give T.O.P the car keys, saying, “I’m giving the car keys to the boss.”

Seungri, who was sitting in the back seat, surprised the clueless comedian by revealing, “T.O.P hyung doesn’t know how to drive.” T.O.P confirmed Seungri’s statement by saying, “I don’t have a license yet.”

Netizens commented, “I was surprised that T.O.P didn’t know how to drive” and “I expected T.O.P to drive using only one hand“, showing their surprise at the charismatic ‘boss’ not yet knowing how to drive.

You’ve seen the stills of a tough-looking Ha Ji-won in sci-fi action blockbuster Sector 7 — now watch her in action in the movie’s new preview, where she battles some kind of mutant sea monster while out on an oil rig.

The movie concept admittedly isn’t too original or complicated — it’s positioned itself as a “Host at sea” and amped up the badass Ha Ji-won angle — but if they can sneak in some clever surprises, it could be a fun summer flick. I thought The Host was awesome and don’t expect this one to be nearly as good in story (too similar to escape the knockoff vibe), but for sheer action/octane, Sector 7 is going in with guns blazing — gnarly CG monsters, explosions, fierce hand-to-tentacle combat, 3-D camera work.

Other cast members include hard-bodied heartthrob Oh Ji-ho (Chuno), veteran Ahn Sung-ki (Fair Love), and funnyman Park Chul-min (Birth of the Rich, Partner) — but who are we kidding, it’s all about Ha Ji-won. With movies like Haeundae and…well…Haeundae, Ha is setting herself up to be Korea’s foremost (and possible only) female action star. (Kim Haneul, Kim So-yeon, Su Ae — they’ve had some moments, but are distant seconds.) She’s had a string of successes lately — Secret Garden, Haeundae, My Love By My Side — so anticipation is running high for her next project.

Directing is Kim Ji-hoon, who did war movie May 18 and also has another action movie on his plate, disaster film The Tower starring Sohn Ye-jin. Korea’s sure rife with disasters. Must be something in the water. (Bah-dum-ching! Heh, couldn’t resist.)

Sector 7 has already been sold abroad to four other countries. No release date yet, but it’s expected to come out in the summer.

NH Media Is Creating A Girl Group

It has recently been revealed that NH Media - U-KISS’s company – has plans to launch a girl group!

U-KISS’s manager recently tweeted, “NH Media EMG is preparing a girl group if anyone is interested please contact this address ***woong306@nate.com***”, on his personal Twitter.

Although no word of these plans have officially come out from the company as of yet, several U-KISS members retweeted his tweet.

In addition, it appears as if they are opening up their search internationally, as U-KISS’s manager also tweeted, “People that are interested overseas it will be hard to come to korea to audition so please send a portfolio containing a video and pictures.”

So what are you waiting for? Go and get those portfolios ready!

Park Jiyoon Talks About Her Scandal With Kangta

On May 13th, singer-turned actress Park Ji Yoon guested on SBS’s “Nightly TV Entertainement” and talked about the hard times she had when she first debuted as a singer.

When asked about her scandal with H.O.T.’s Kangta, she stated, “Kangta’s fans would shout harsh swear words at me when I was singing on stage and they even cursed at me with their fingers. I didn’t feel bad because of it, but rather very scared. I was young at the time so it was very hard for me to handle.”

BI deports 3 Korean fugitives
THREE Korean fugitives wanted by authorities in their homeland for various crimes are set to be deported by the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Commissioner Ricardo David Jr. said yesterday.

The fugitives, identified as Ham Sang Woon, Kim Young Gi and Oh Myung Gun, were all arrested recently by BI Interpol Unit operatives upon the request of the South Korean embassy in Manila and are now detained at the BI jail in Bicutan, Taguig.

Girl Group "Stellar" To Debut In June

Top Class Entertainment revealed that they are planning on debuting a girl group, Stellar, in June. The group will be consisting of 4 members Gayoung, Jeonyul, JoA and Lee Seul.

Two members haven't been revealed, while the two other members of the group have been in the spotlight before. Gayoung starred on "1Night 2Days" and Teen Top's "Supa Luv" music video. Lee Seul is known as a member of duo Honey Dew.

They're currently working on finishing their debut music video and are will start promoting the group in the coming weeks. Shinhwa's Lee Minwoo made a song for the girls' debut album.

Stellar won't be a direct label mate to Teen Top, as they are signed to TOP Media instead of Top Class Entertainment. Shinhwa's Eric will look over their debut.

Actor, Singer and member of group "Shinhwa", Eric (32, real name Moon Jung Hyeok) is set to launch a new girl group as a producer.

Eric, will be celebrating his 13 years of debut experience in producing this new 4 member girl group called "Stellar". Eric will be the producer for the entire album of the new rookie group "Stellar".

Moreover, Eric not only will be the producer for the new girl group but also will be in charge of the rap lyrics of the main title "Rocket Girl", and will also be feature in the song music video.

According to Eric's agency, "Eric will visit "Stellar" while recording at the studio, and gives them advice to have a sucessful debut".

Eric new group "Stellar" will have the participation as a member of Kim Ga Yeong who became very popular with her participation in variety shows, "1 night 2 days" and "Men's Qualifications Choir Challenge". The group which consists of 4 members will make their debut in June.

In addition, Eric is not only busy producing the new group but also preparing for Shinhwa comeback next year. Eric will also have a series of fanmeetings which will kick off in Thailand on the 21st, followed by Taiwan and Shanghai.

Recently, actress Shin Se Kyung showed off her dewy skin for a Shiseido photoshoot.

Shin Se Kyung was recently chosen by Shiseido to be their “muse” for their cosmetic brand; it is her first time working with the company.

In this photoshoot, the concept given to the actress was “healthy skin”, and her face – which overflows with energy – and health caught the brand’s eye. All of her appeal sure shows in her picture, as it appears as if she is brimming with confidence. Then again, who wouldn’t be if their skin glowed like hers? In addition, the photo shows her with an elegant up-do and a graceful, sleeve-less white dress.

Shin Se Kyung even let fans in on her secret to achieving flawless, dewy skin. She said, “I maintain a balanced diet and make sure my body gets enough water… Also, after shooting, I always apply essence on my face so that my skin can be nourished and elastic.”

Rock group TRANSFIXION releases 4th album and MV for "Wanting You"

Rock group TRANSFIXION just recently released their 4th album and corresponding MV for its title track "Wanting You".

This group has been around since 2000, and has released 4 full length albums, a few mini's, and loads of soundtrack songs over the past years. The groups consists of 4 members Haerang, Jun Hojin, Sun Dongok and Oh Chunki. They've been influenced by wellknown rock groups such as Aerosmith, Pantera, Guns 'N Roses and others.

The group is best known for their World Cup support songs "For Victory" and "The Shouts of Reds". And more recently, TRANSFIXION also collaborated with Big Bang and Kim Yuna for a second version of "The Shouts of Reds" which was used to cheer for the Korean Soccer team in 2010.

T-ARA HYOMIN debuts as a stylist for 5dolls

T-ara's Hyomin was the stylist for 5dolls's comeback.

Hyomin has had an extremely big interest in fashion and style for a long time, and for 5dolls' comeback album track "Like This or That" emerged as the stylist. Hyomin looked throughout fashion publications to find styles that fit each member, as she was responsible for each members style.

Fans have already left kind comments on Hyomin's stylist job such as, "5dolls concept costumes are really pretty," "It's really fitting for them." In addition, they have encouraged Hyomin to debut as a stylist.

Meanwhile, 5dolls are currently promoting "Like This or That" which was composed by the combination of Kang Jiwon and Kim Kibum who made Secret's "Madonna", "Magic", and "Shy Boy". They released their club remix album "Time To Play" which has three new songs.

"Time To Play" consists of 8 total tracks, five of which are remixed versions of the songs on their first mini album, "Charming Five Girls".
