While guesting on MBC’s “Radio Star“, SISTAR’s Bora revealed a unique clause in their contracts with Starship Entertainment.

MC Yoon Jong Shin had asked, “Are there any clauses regarding dating in contracts for girl groups? I’m curious as to whether they state you can’t date.”

SECRET replied, “It’s not in writing, but it’s a promise we made.” Bora then caused the studio to crack up after she elaborated, “In the case of our agency, they say that we can’t date, but added that if we absolutely can’t help it, we should date a top star while we’re at it.”

Tony An has been a fan of T-ara’s Eunjung ever since his army days

During a recent recording of KBS 2TV’s “100 Points out of 100“, singer Tony An confessed that it was because of T-ara’s Eunjung that he was able to withstand the hardships of his time in the army.

Unable to conceal his shyness when Eunjung appeared on the show as a guest, his castmates burst out with laughter upon discovering that his ears had turned bright red, a characteristic trait of his that shows his level of embarrassment or shyness.

He eventually confessed that he was an avid fan of T-ara and that his favorite song of theirs is “Like the First Time“. Turning to Eunjung and Soyeon, he asked them to perform it on the spot, to which they readily agreed.

Tony joked, “Despite Soyeon being a fixed cast member of the show, I am only just now starting to see her as a T-ara member!”

G.NA talks about her pre-debut days with HyunA and 2PM

Known to be 4minute HyunA’s backup dancer prior to her own debut and as an extra in 2PM’s ‘10 out of 10‘ music video, G.NA recently revealed her feelings of the experience on KBS JOY.

On March 18th, G.NA made an appearance on ‘Entertainers‘ and talked about her experience as HyunA’s backup dancer for the latter’s solo single, ‘Change‘. She confessed, “My days as HyunA’s backup dancer were so hard.” Additionally, she told viewers a behind-the-scenes story about filming for 2PM’s debut music video.

Discussing her current promotional activities, she stated, “I sleep for only three hours a day in a car. Even if I had 10 bodies, it would be hard maintaining my schedule.” When asked how she maintains her figure with the busy schedule, she responded, “I stretch and focus on keeping my body in shape when I have time in the car.”

CHI-CHI holds a showcase before their debut, hopes to overtake SNSD

Rookie girl group CHI-CHI held a showcase for their debut single “Don’t Play Around” on March 18th, through which they also expressed their hopes and goals for their future. CHI-CHI is the first girl group created by entertainment company, Yedang Entertainment - an agency known to house successful artists like Kim Gun Mo, Lee Jung Hyun, and Wax.

As soon as the showcase began, the seven members – Nara, Jiyoo, Pichi, Semi, Boreum, Aji, and Suee – walked up on stage to introduce themselves before they began performing “Don’t Play Around”.

The members expressed, “We worked really hard to prepare for our debut, so we have a lot to show when we go out on music programs. We’ll be showcasing great music, so we hope for your anticipation and interest.”

They continued, “Since it was our first time performing today, we weren’t able to show our best because we were all very nervous, but we will continue to work harder. We will make lots of great music to show that we are worthy of your anticipation.”

When asked if there were any girl groups they considered to be their rivals, CHI-CHI replied, “Our goal is to overtake the nation’s best girl group, SNSD. Becoming Asia’s best girl group is also another goal of ours. We believe our strong point is performing unique music.”

Actress Hong Soo Ah also made an appearance at the showcase to support her juniors. She cheered, “I hope these CHI-CHI friends take the spot of the best idol group.”

She continued, “I had a listen of “Don’t Play Around”, and I really liked it. I also wanted to become a member of the group, but being an idol at my age is a bit…”, making the audience burst into laughter.

CHI-CHI will hold their debut stage through SBS’s “Inkigayo” this coming March 20th

G-Dragon will continue to smash guitars for “Tonight” performances

Debunking earlier reports, YG Entertainment has announced that G-Dragon’s guitar-smashing act will continue for the remaining performances of Big Bang’s title track, “Tonight“.

Although YG had announced last week that Big Bang would stop breaking guitars once they completed their first round of comeback performances, G-Dragon was seen smashing yet another guitar during the climax of their performance on Mnet’s “M! Countdown” this week, which took fans completely by surprise.

The agency’s representatives explained, “At first, we wanted to change the stage a bit since we can’t keep showing the same image over and over again, but we decided to continue with the same dance due to a variety of reasons. If we wanted to change the performance, we would have to produce another version of the song, and the group would also have to practice a new set of choreography. We’re in a situation where we don’t have enough time.”

Multi-cultural Video Broadcasting has launched in North America, MVIBO.com, a video on demand (VOD) service offering Korean content including dramas, movies, clips and music videos.

MVIBO.com has been established by KBS America, a Los Angeles-based company that provides KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) programmes in North America and aims to promote cultural ties between South Korea and the United States.

The service is designed to provide high-quality streaming video from Korean broadcasters including KBS, SBS and MBC, popular movies, and K-POP music videos from YG and JYP Entertainment. All programmes are licensed directly from the broadcast companies and come with English subtitles.

Park Ye Jin reunites with Family Outing castmates for Running Man

Actress Park Ye Jin will be reuniting with her family members from SBS’s “Family Outing” for the first time in a year!

According to SBS, Park Ye Jin recently took part in the recording for “Running Man” and was able to meet up with former castmates Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Jong Kook.

On the day of the recording, she commented, “I really missed everyone, but everyone was so busy so I never had the opportunity to see them. It feels great meeting again like this here. I was really excited all day at the thought of seeing the oppas again. It’s nice seeing PD Jo Hyo Jin and the other staff members as well.”

Kim Jong Kook added, “It definitely feels great seeing her again after concluding ‘Family Outing.’ I’m starting to feel nostalgic. Since Park Ye Jin is a talented actress, I hope she continues her streak of success. I want all of the ‘Family Outing’ members to do well.”

Their episode will broadcast on March 27th.

JYJ IN TRACKSUITS, JJ LOVES HELLO KITTY

The 3 members of JYJ revealed a recent activity picture that grabbed netizens’ attention.

JYJ member Kim Jaejoong uploaded a picture on March 17th afternoon through his twitter with a note saying “Let’s practice even harder!”.

The picture showed Kim Junsu, Kim Jaejoong, and Park Yoochun were all dressed in tracksuits. Eventhough they’re styled casually, but the members still appeared as if they’re in a photoshoot that displayed various attractions, proven fact that the trio are indeed Korea’s popular artists.

One who attracted most attention is particularly Kim Jaejoong who stood at the centre of the group. Despite the picture was taken indoor, Kim Jaejoong still put his sunglasses on and held up his fist, thus drew laughter. Furthermore, while Kim Jaejoong had a charismatic expression on his face, yet he wore a Hello Kitty tracksuit, a kind of fashion that can not be easily pulled off by a man, which gave off a whole different appeal.

The other day, as I was clicking through some news website to get to the fashion section, I kinda noticed that there was this war thing going on in Korea or something. It dawned on me: I was just there with my famous designer friend and we could have gotten really hurt by their hateful bombs! Then this dawned on me: There is something totally more important than a war going on in Korea.

The Koreans are building soldiers of more cultural relevance. They are creating the music that I’m gonna be dry humping to on the dance floor at an arena-sized gay club. They are manufacturing the next generation of Pop Stars.

Many viewers are saying that Girls Day member, Minah, bares a resemblance to Big Bang member G-Dragon. Online viewers of the video are saying whenever Minah smiles or smirks, she looks almost like GD.I’ve been a VIP for so long that the resemblance is uncanny. Every time i look at minah…i think of GD! Filming For Poseidon Has Resumed, But Who Will Air It?

The drama "Poseidon" has resumed filming but is still up in the air.

Shinhwa member Eric (real name Mun Jung Hyeok) became a hot topic when it was stated that he would make his comeback with the new drama "Poseidon" which started filming last year.

Dong Bang Shin Gi Yunho, Kim Kang Woo, Kim Wook Bin, Jeon Hye Bin were among the colorful cast were also a topic in early release of information about the drama.

However, after the attacks to Yeongpyeong-do Island (from North Korea ) in December, the filming of the drama was suspended. The drama "Poseidon" was schedule to resume filming on March 18 but, it still not confirmed yet.

Actors officials stated, "We still haven't heard a filming date as of yet from the producers". "We are still waiting but, how long we have to wait, we don't know", they stated with frustration.

Moreover, another actors officials also stated, "The delay of schedule continues so is really heard to even make pre-schedule arrangements for other work that might occur". "For now, is just best to stop thinking about it".

In addition, "Poseidon" was originally schedule to be the successor of drama "Midas". However, "Sweet Scandal" will be the successor of "Midas" having "Poseidon" original schedule cancel.

7 membered idol group Infinite has taken off charisma and has come back as sweet romanatic men.

Infinite performed on Mnet M! Countdown on the 17th and showed off their new title song ‘Nothing’s over’ from their new single album ‘Inspirit’.

They showed off a differently charm from ‘BTD’ with their lovely, romantic choreography and their concept and outfits.

Title song ‘Nothing’s Over’ was made by Han Jaeho and Kim Seung Soo and is a song with a easy melody and a unique sound as the point.

Also, Infinite’s longing but bright feeling voice maximises the feel of the song and makes the song feel more complete.

SECRET’s Song Ji Eun launched her debut solo track “Going Crazy” almost two weeks ago, but she’s still setting music charts afire, even besting some of the other big name stars who began their comeback promotions around the same time.

When told of her popularity, however, Ji Eun cocked her head with confusion. “When I was just about to release the album, I thought to myself that I’d consider it a success if it even ranked in the top 50. My agency didn’t give me any pressure about music chart rankings since this album aimed to show my talent as a singer, and the image transformation I was capable of. The results are definitely better than what we all expected, so it’s a great feeling.”

SECRET’s Ji Eun extends her promotions for “Going Crazy

Thanks to its enormous popularity, SECRET’s Ji Eun has extended promotions for her solo debut single, “Going Crazy”.

After SECRET wrapped up their promotions for “Shy Boy”, member Song Ji Eun returned to the music scene to release her first solo work. The song quickly achieved immense popularity, and was ranked #1 in real time for both music and mobile ringtone charts.

TS Entertainment revealed, “This year, we wanted to promote her solo single for only a short period of time. However, because the response has been far better than what we had expected, we’ve decided to extend her promotions until the end of March.”

Ji Eun will return to SECRET after she concludes her solo promotions in order to work on the group’s new album. Meanwhile, rapper Bang Yong Guk will resume training for his official debut with a new male idol group, the date for which has yet to be determined.

ZE:A thinks their new concept fits them the best

Before the boys headed for their “Music Bank” stage, ZE:A met with reporters and shared their thoughts about their long-awaited comeback.

They stated, “We’ll be promoting with our title track, ‘Here I Am‘, from our ‘Lovability‘ comeback album. The cute concept that we’re going with fits better with our image, especially since most of our members have thin, sweet voices. It was difficult for us to give off that deeper feel with the other concepts, so we’re all satisfied and feel that the concept fits us the best. It really was harder to try and act cool (laughter).”

At the mention of how other groups had similar concepts, Dongjun replied, “I think the fact that we have nine members, which is a lot, can work to our advantage. The production period for our album was especially long, so we prepared that much harder. The long wait helped out a lot.”

Member Taehun especially participated in the production for three tracks: “Here I Am,” “Special Day,” and “Be My Girl.”

He shared, “All of our members tried their best in bringing out their own individual colors in this album. Our affections towards this album are strong, so we hope that our fans give it a lot of love.”
