Lee Hyori Hurt Korea's Meat Industry by Turning Vegetarian?

Top celebrity Lee Hyori officially turned vegetarian last month and now the Hanwoo Board, or the governing body of Korean beef, is accusing her of hurting the overall Korean meat industry. Hyori served as the goodwill ambassador and official spokesperson for the Hanwoo Board for six months from July to December of last year, but became a vegetarian after her contract expired.

“By officially announcing her decision to turn vegetarian shortly after her contract with us as an ambassador expired, Hyori has hurt the overall Korean beef market that’s already suffering from the bad publicity caused by the recent foot-and-mouth disease in Korea,” an official from the Hanwoo Board said. “She not only encouraged consumers to buy Korean beef and promoted our products before, but also told people at her fan signing event held on ‘Korean Beef Day’ in November to enjoy more Korean beef. But now she’s completely changed her attitude and it has damaged the overall image of Korean beef,” it added.

MBC’s sitcom ‘All My Love’ receives an extension

Due to the steady popularity of MBC’s sitcom All My Love, the producers have decided to extend the series.
On March 15, a program representative expressed,

We have decided to extend ‘All My Love’ to continue until mid-September. We are planning to shoot just a little over 200 episodes.

All My Love started airing in November of last year, and it was originally planned to air until May, with roughly 120 episodes. The show features beloved acting veterans like Kim Kab Soo, Park Mi Sun, Kim Young Ok, and Jung Ho Bin, as well as youthful idol stars like Jo Kwon, Ga-In, Yoong Seung Ah, Yoon Doo Joon, and Kim Na Young.
On the other hand, actor Jin Yi Han (who has recently replaced Jun Tae Soo), will have his first appearance on March 18.

Lee Chun Hee and Jun Hye Jin recently unveiled their official wedding photos!

The actors hold their wedding ceremony on March 11 in Seoul’s Sheraton Walker Hill.

For their wedding portraits, the two mixed vintage and contemporary concepts, and ended up with a unique style. The groom spent his model is, while the bride let her cuteness during the photoshoot. Although some of their photographs in black and white, their colorful personalities still managed to translate well to recordings.

The couple expressed, “We participated in many photo shoots, but we were very nervous the whole shoot. We could happily away, and it was really fun.”

The group, Infinite, told us their thoughts about the comeback.

Before going on stage for the March 18th episode of KBS2 ‘Music Bank’, Infinite met with Asia Economy: Sports Today. They showed confidence for this album’s promotions by saying, “All preparations are finished. Now all we need to do is soar.”

They also added on, “As we promote with our title song, ‘Nothing’s Over’, we plan to become a bit more relaxed and enjoy the stage more”, and laughed while saying, “We definitely feel that the cute concept fits perfectly with us."

“If ‘BTD’ was a really masculine concept, then the concept for ‘Nothing’s Over’ would be strong in the friendly feel.” They added, “Since it’s similar to what our members are like normally, I think we can freely enjoy it on stage as well."

For their closing words Infinite requested, “Although we are burdened by all the comebacks from prominent seniors, our goal is to get 1st on a music program. Please give a lot of love and interest.”

Meanwhile, their title song, ‘Nothing’s Over’, was written by Han Jaeho and Kim Seungsoo and its features are impressive lyrics, a melody that’s touching but easy to listen to, and a unique sound. Also, the loving and cheerful voices that only Infinite has, maximize the feeling of the song and increase the level of completeness.

T-ara’s Eunjung recently appeared on KBS 2TV’s “100 Points out of 100“, showcasing her many charms.

The idol danced to “Like the First Time” with fellow member Soyeon, making Tony Ahn’s ears turn red with her sexy dance. She also showed off her Korean folk song talent, amazing the cast with her skill.

She then gave a special performance of Uhm Jung Hwa’s “Invitation” with Kim Jong Min, delighting the crowd. Eunjung also got the chance to dance with the ‘dance copy machine’, B2ST’s Yoseob.

JYJ's management agency accused of fraud

K-pop boy band JYJ’s agency executives stand accused of fraud involving the cancellation of overseas concerts, the prosecution said Thursday.

An investor in the band’s overseas projects filed a complaint with the Seoul Central Prosecutors’ Office against five executives of the agency C-JES Entertainment, claiming he suffered damages due to the cancellation of the concert and fraud by the management agency.

The investor surnamed Park, owner of a health food company, said that he invested 1.24 billion won ($1 million) in overseas concerts but retrieved none of the investment due to cancellations.

An Ahjussi and a Princess donate money to Japan as well

It was revealed on the 17th that Korean actor Won Bin has donated around 14.5 million yen (~$172,000 USD) to the Japanese earthquake disaster relief through UNICEF. Korean actress Kim Tae Hee also donated around 7 million yen (~$86,000 USD) via the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Won Bin, who has been a special representative for UNICEF Korea since 2007, stated, “I’m deeply hurt after watching the children of Japan who have lost their family or their homes. I pray with all my heart that [Japan] can overcome this disaster as quickly as possible.”

Kim Tae Hee expressed worry over the disaster in Japan, especially for the Tohoku (Northeast) region, where part of her drama “IRIS” was filmed.

Earlier this month, we shared that Super Junior was selected as honorary ambassadors for Korean cuisine, and now they’ve finally revealed a CF featuring Leeteuk, Shindong, Heechul, and Yesung. With their characteristic friendliness and humor, the four shared their “secret” recipes for bibimbap, a Korean dish that mixes rice, fresh/cooked vegetables, meat, and gochujang (chili pepper paste).
