Tony Reveals That A Stalker Saw Heejun Naked

On January 29th, singer Tony An guested on MBC’s “Quiz That Changes the World” and revealed a shocking stalker story from his H.O.T days.

He began, “One day, I was preparing to head out for my morning schedule and Moon Hee Jun was heading to the bathroom for a shower. I thought for sure that he’d lock the door so I didn’t bother checking.”

Tony continued, “Later, Moon Hee Jun came to me crying, asking why I hadn’t locked the door. He said he was washing his hair when someone came in. Thinking it was me, he didn’t think much of it until he realized it was a fan.”

To the shock of the studio, he concluded, “He was so surprised, he ran out of the bathroom crying!”

- Jiyoung episode delayed, TL;DW will air instead

On the 28th, TokyoTV has announced that the February 4 episode of URAKARA, the drama topbilled by 5 member, girl-group KARA, who is currently in a crisis, will be a digest of the first three episodes. For the episode on February 11, they had announced their desire to complete it as planned before.

This month, KARA members Seungyeon, Nicole and Jiyoung have expressed their intention to terminate their contract with DSP media, and a break-up crisis has begun. The 4th episode of the drama has yet to finish filming and there are many difficulties arising in the resolution that the filming in Japan was stopped.

On the 27th, the agency has prepared the filming equipment so that shooting for the 4th episode can resume anytime as they only have those that have been filmed and the station considered showing a digest of the first three episodes. The station further said that they want to "show all 12 episodes. We want to continue" Also, they have decided to show an preview of the 4th episode where the girls transfer to Japan's stage.

My Princess turns into a novel, will unfortunately lack Song Seung-heon's abs

With the success of the drama My Princess these days, MBC Productions has hastened to adapt the story for another format with a novelization.

The novel features a plot that, like the drama, focuses on the development of love amidst the quarreling and clashes of its two leads. However, it purports to differ substantially in its more detailed exploration of the characters’ inner thoughts and struggles.

Still, the book’s probably not too far from the tone of the drama, as scriptwriter Jang Young-shil worked with the novel writer Sohn Hyun-kyung in the adaptation process. The two had also worked together in novelizing Jang’s previous drama, Lovers In Prague. The book also comes with color photos of the leads, for fans out there who love collectibles.

They’ve worked pretty fast to put this out, given that the novel was published before the drama was even half over. They must have been pinning their hopes on the show to be a hit, since I doubt it was written in the three weeks since its premiere. And I suppose novel format gives the characters more time to develop than we see onscreen — though really, at this point, no amount of humanization could make me like Yoon-ju or her ugly lopsided bowl cut (lol javabeans). Even if she doesn’t have one in the book. It’s in her soul.

During the January 23rd recording of MBC’s Lunar New Year special, “Idol Star Athletics Championships“, a fan recorded caught cute interactions between SHINee’s Key, Taemin, and B2ST’s Dongwoon.
In the video, Dongwoon gets down on one knee and ‘proposes’ to Key with a banner. Key plays along and responds with a surprised expression. Later, Taemin takes the banner so he can ‘propose’ to Key as well. It’s good to see that these boys were having a fun time on set!
Fans commented, “Key’s reaction is like Dongwoon’s really proposing to him! LOL Key’s a great actor!!!” and “It’s so nice to know everyone is so close.”

January 26, 2011—These days, the entertainment industry is monitoring the unpredictable ‘Kara incident’ with keen interest. At this point, both scenarios are equally expected: that the contentious issues [between Kara and their management] can be resolved or that the group has reached it limit. In all honesty, I have no interest in girl groups, but as the ‘Kara’ contract termination controversy gets thicker, management company DSP Media has moved to gain exclusive trademark rights to the name ‘Kara’. I’ve never thought of this before, but it struck me that the question of who owns the trademark rights to the names of idol groups could become a source of big problems, and so I looked into to whom the trademark rights of these names belong.

Onew Gets Excited; Tackles Luna In the Process

On January 23rd, many idol groups came together for the recording of MBC’s Lunar New Year’s special, “Idol Star Athletics Championship“.

During the event, fans caught a hilarious – but almost dangerous – incident between SHINee’s Onew and f(x)’s Luna. In the video, Luna and SHINee’s Minho are celebrating after Luna succeeds in clearing the high jump. As they’re jumping for joy, Onew comes running in to congratulate her and decides that he’s going to run right through the pole.

He ends up tripping over the mat and dives straight into Luna, who reprimands him playfully with a pat. Luckily, no one got hurt and it seems like they both got a good laugh out of the situation.

Couple Hyun Bin and Song Hye Gyo Attend Fansign Event; New Photos From Late Autumn

The famous couple of actor Hyun Bin and actress Song Hye Gyo are both having fan signing events today.

Hyun Bin’s event took place at 1PM in a book cafe in Seoul, where he received a diamond-studded razor from CEO Kim Tae Young, owner of Phillips Electronics, estimated to be worth 30 million won.

Also, on a first-come-first-served basis, 50 fans were invited to a private fan signing which caused fans to line the streets starting the day before.

On the other hand, Song Hye Gyo held hers in Chungdamdong to celebrate the release of her first photo book, “Song Hye Gyo’s Moment”. She wore an outfit that reminded fans of spring, adding onto her beautiful look.

“Song Hye Gyo’s Moment” consists of photographs taken over the past five years in three continents and six countries including France, Italy, United States, and the Netherlands.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk revealed that he had once received f(x) Krystal’s consent for her hand in marriage.
On the 30th, both Leeteuk and Krystal appeared on the MBC show ‘Enjoy Today’. On this episode, viewers were able to see the first meeting of the two members for their music project on the ‘Enjoy Ballad’ corner.

Heading to the practice room in a car with Krystal, Leeteuk asked a shocking question,“Why did you pick me as a duet partner? Did you want to win or did you want to be my partner because of that past promise you made saying that you would marry me?

Leeteuk, who is under the same company as Krystal, revealed what happened on the first day they met. He asked Krystal, “When I, without any intentions, asked you ‘do you want to get married to me?’, didn’t you say yes?”. Krystal, embarrassed, hastily replied, “Oppa, I thought you were scary at that time, thats why I answered that way!”

Krystal then made accusations at Leeteuk, saying “You told all the oppas in the company that you were going to marry me! And you even told one person that we had even kissed!”, leading to Leeteuk’s shocked expression on screen.

S.Korea to speed up combat fighter purchase

South Korea will bring forward its planned purchase of an advanced fleet of combat fighters with stealth capability to 2015, a project estimated at 10 trillion won ($9 billion), Yonhap news reported on Sunday.

The move comes as tensions persist on the Korean peninsula as the South is concerned about North Koreas's missile building, while China confirmed earlier this month it had held its first test-flight of a stealth fighter jet.

U.S. and European defence companies have been gearing up for the third phase of South Korea's fighter modernisation programme to replace decades-old F-4E and F-5E/F jets that have been involved in several fatal crashes in recent years.

Boeing Co F-15 fighters, Lockheed Martin Corp F-35 multinational Joint Strike Fighters and EADS Eurofighter jets are likely to join in the competition, the news agency said.

"There is a consensus building within the government to speed up the next-generation fighter project," Yonhap quoted an unidentified government source as saying.

"A budget of 300 million won is earmarked for the research and development this year, but (the government) could set aside additional money through a budget adjustment if needed."

Under the original timetable, South Korea would receive proposals from defence companies early next year and pick one in August 2012 to introduce fighter jets with stealth capability between 2016 and 2020.
