Saturday Night ft. Jaebeom?

KBS 2TV's tv show 'Saturday Night' will feature ex member 2PM member Park Jaebum's life in Seattle, America.

 

Airing on the 22nd, the producer has stated "It's been one month since this star has left this land as if he had run away. For the first time, our 'Saturday Night' staff will meet Jaebum in Seattle."

The program will feature the current thoughts of Park Jaebum as a 3rd generation Korean.

On the 22nd, Money Tuday and Star News held a phone conversation with the producers, in which they stated "We have met Park Jaebum personally and have asked for a personal interview. He has yet to confirm or answer. Instead, we were able to experience Park Jaebum's American life such as him conversing with friends at a b-boy competition."

Wonder Girls reach No. 76 on Billboard chart

Korean pop group Wonder Girls have become the first Korean artists to enter the Billboard singles chart, according to their agency JYP Entertainment on Thursday.

The group's single "Nobody" entered the Billboard Hot100 at No. 76, the first time for a Korean artist to be placed on the chart in its thirty-year history. Only three other artists from Asia as a whole have ever made it onto the chart.

The Billboard chart combines the number of airplays, album sales and digital downloads.

According to the official from the 7th “Asiana International Short Film Festival” on 20th October, Goo Hye Sun’s directed trailer will be shown before all screenings from 5th November till the last day of the film festival on 10th November.

For the making of this trailer, Goo Hye Sun has spent one month’s time in September writing the scenario herself, meeting up personally with the filming crew and doing the liaison. She has shown well-made preparations for this project.

The completed trailer triggers on many people’s intriguing point for love. Inside the trailer, it shown the male lead appearing outside of the television and the female lead who appeared inside the TV, eventually emerged as the hero. It reflects on the trailer theme on “love-hate relationship between humans and the media”, which also refers to and represents the love relationship between man and woman.

2PM's New Advertisement Filming

With 2PM's 6 membered movements, fans are strengthening their boycotts.

Recently, without Park Jaebum, 2PM filmed a new CF advertisement. Fans have stated that they will boycott this product, also.

Company A (full name initialed) is in a tricky situation. After their contract, they have already finished the filming but they are having a hard time making any decisions due to the fans. They fully know that stores are now putting up signs stating that they are anti-Jaebum's leave and that fans are boycotting all products relaed to 2PM.

They have stated "It is true that we have finished our filming but we have yet to make a decision for anything else," expressing their worries.

Jo Kwon, Seulong attends Beyonce's concert

Wonder Girls' Sunye and 2AM's Jo Kwon, Seulong and JOO went to watch Beyonce's concert. Late into the 21st, Jo Kwon left an ISKY message to fans saying "Beyonce's Concert, Sunye, JOO, and Seulong hyung" along with a photo message. One could clearly see the friendship between these individuals of the same company.

Jo Kwon left his impressions of the concert, stating "Beyonce's concert name is I AM... I'm impressed. Yonce nuna, I love you<3." The title of Beyonce's concert 'I AM' is also the title of 2AM's fanclub.

After seeing this message and photo, fans welcomed them with open arms. A Wonder Girls' fan stated "I heard that the Wonder Girls came home and I guess it's true." Sunye had left a message on her Twitter saying "I like Beyonce so much."

After having finished their activities in New York, the Wonder Girls are currently in Korea. 2AM's Jo Kwon is appearing on various variety programs and showing off his many talents, one show being MBC's 'We Got Married,' starring with BEG's KaIn.

My lovely source from Korea (myokoon) has given me some juicy news – Fans saw some staff and 2NE1 shooting at a Catholic church recently. In it, Sandara Park was wearing a wedding dress for the shoot. YB fans are speculating this is for Taeyang’s video because although Aimee did say she was at the end of the WUA video, she also stated she is not sure whether she will be in the rest of the music video (see her twitter here) . The other idea is that this is for Park Bom’s new solo music video.

Take it as it has been given to me, but my guess is this might just be for Taeyang’s music video. I think its for his music video because I don’t see YG reusing the same idea twice (the same concept for both Bom and Taeyang) but then again, YG is very unpredictable and it could be entirely different thing all together. Time will tell whether it’ll be Sandara, Aimee or someone else altogether!

Some news from Japan – Big Bang will be featured in a Japanese magazine "ChouChou" to be released October 22/2009. In it the members talk about their ideal "date" planned out.

On the 23rd, MBC every1’s “STAR the Secret” will broadcast why it took such a long time for Hyori to become a graduate of Kookmin University.

Before Fin.K.L debuted, Hyori passed the test that only accepted 40 out of 2600 people that applied. With a ratio of 65:1, Hyori successfully entered the performing arts department of Kookmin University. Hyori’s 3rd year high school teacher said, “At first, it was harder for her to get into schools in Seoul, but her grades improved in the second semester.”

Hyori entered Kookmin in 1998. At the same time, pre-Fin.K.L Hyori was a chubby college student. She was a popular worker in the student’s cafeteria. At the time, she asked her professors for advice before appearing in SBS “Three Leaf Clover.”

However, the professor said, “Hyori’s mom came to look for the principal so that Hyori can have a smooth graduation process. She didn’t want her to stay in a state of failing. Finally, in the eighth year, she graduated.”

Before this latest update, JYPE released an announcement saying that 2PM will not be participating in Concert of Hope. They have made a mistake and this is their correction.

This entry actually reads "2PM will not participating in the Concert of Hope". But when the post got approved, there was an update to it. Sorry for the confusion!

Hello this is JYPE.

I am making a correction on our announcement about the no participation of 2PM at ‘1st The Concert of hope in Busan’

I correct that announcement that said 2PM wasn’t going to participate in ‘1st The Concert of hope in Busan’ 2PM will be participating at ‘1st The Concert of hope in Busan’.

Even until yesterday, it wasn’t assured schedule so we made announcement but it turns out that today, the schedule was changed so we are correcting our announcement.

This is because when Seoul sponsor set the contract with JYPE it was set that the concert name wasn’t named ‘1st The Concert of hope in Busan’ , it was called something else. So because of this current name ‘1st The Concert of hope in Busan’ wasn’t searched there was an error in 2PM’s schedule, and we gave confusion to the fans because of the concert name and the representative.

We sincerely apologize that this gave confusion to the fans in one day.
Sorry.

1) Park Jaebum confesses his feelings

After leaving group 2PM, Park Jaebum has finally revealed his feelings on air.

On a variety program through KBS 2TV 'Sunday Night' airing on the 25th, footage will air of Jaebum's life in Seattle.

The show will be MC'd by Nam Heesuk. The producers have stated "We are meeting Jaebum for the first time after he left for Seattle. He avoided our interview but has finally come through at the end for a short video message and has sent it to us himself."

In the video, Jaebum states "I am rethinking my actions and behavior and am working out a way to learn from them. I have nothing else to say. I think time must pass before I can say anything

"Sunday Night"s producer went to Seattle on the 19th in an attempt to interview Park Jaebum. When talking to Mydaily through a phone interview, "Sunday Night's producer Choi Seok Sun said "We could meet Jaebum when he went to watch a B-Boy convention with friends. We have pictures of Jaebum at that convention on camera. When we went over to greet him and aked for an interview, Jaebum rejected politely and quickly went back to his seat"

"We tried requesting for an interview by waiting outside Jaebum's house. Later, Jaebum's dad said it wasn't time yet when he tried to persuade him. We couldn't do anything, so we left a note outside Jaebum's house saying "If you change your mind, contact us anytime"

"A while later, I found out that Jabum left a 2PM CD for me at the hotel front desk with the words "It isn't the time to talk yet. Sorry for making you come so far" written on the jacket photo.

Insooni to Sing at Carnegie Hall

Top K-pop singer Insooni will hold a concert at Carnegie Hall in New York next year.

The concert will take place on Feb. 5. An official from the singer's agency was quoted as saying, "A contract was made through negotiations after a proposal for the performance from New York."

Insooni, 52, performed at Carnegie Hall in 1999. Cho Yong-pil was the first Korean singer to take the stage at Carnegie Hall, one of the most famous venues for classical and popular music, in 1980.

Korea Stingy in Helping World’s Poor

South Korea is the world's stingiest rich nation in helping developing countries as it erects high trade barriers and offers the least amount of foreign aid, according to the 2009 Commitment to Development Index (CDI), Thursday.

The index, released by the Washington-based Center for Global Development (CGD), annually ranks 22 wealthy economies based on how their aid, trade, investment, migration, environment, security and technology policies benefit poor nations.

This is the second consecutive year Asia's fourth-largest economy finished last, pointing to the country's need to increase participation in overseas aids programs. Korea seeks to join the aid committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation (OECD) next year.

Kim Tae Woo Didn’t Get Along with a g.o.d member?

During the filming of MBC 'Golden Fishery - Radio Star' on the 21st, Kim Tae Woo cleared up a misunderstanding regarding Yoon Kye Sang and his initial reaction to the loss of a fellow group member.

The vocalist of the popular 90s group revealed, "To be honest, my relationship with Kye Sang hyung was not very good when he resigned from the team at first. However, it is definitely not like that today." The solo singer of "Love Rain" continued, "Kye Sang hyung experienced enough difficulty for himself as he was transitioning from a singer to an actor. He endured all the stress alone."

Even though Yoon Kye Sang is no longer part of g.o.d, Kim Tae Woo expressed that there may be an opportunity in the future where he will be able to work with him again: "Gye Sang hyung promised me that he will act in one of my music videos."
