Tukutz to get married on 13th, and enlist for military service on 15th Oct

Group Epik High member DJ Tukutz (Kim JungSik, 28) will be getting married with a female 2 years older than himself on 13th October.

He posted the news of his upcoming wedding and also the date of his enlistment for military duty on 7th October on Epik High’s official site.

He wrote, “I will be enlisting for military service coming 15th October. Before I get enlisted, I would like to relay the happiest news of my life. I finally get to make the promise of ‘Stand By Me’ with my love of 10 years real.”

He continued, “Even though I don’t know if people will think of this as convenience, I’ve decided to make a lifetime promise with the girl I love. I, Kim JungSik, is getting married.”

When one of the news media contacted Epik High’s side, they said, “DJ Tukutz’s date of military enlistment came too sudden, that is why there is a rush for him to do the wedding. Initially the plan is for him to get married after couple Tablo and Kang HyeJung did, but it seems that the date of his wedding has been pushed forward due to his military enlistment.”

Tablo also wrote about this on Mapthesoul.com in a post titled ‘3′.

Epik High Tablo was on first episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart’ aired on 6th October when he said, “I was relieved that the album went up to #1 as soon as it was released.”

He revealed that the staff from his company had then went to prepare reports about the album sales. But when the reports were done, the very next day, the #1 place for album sales went to Lee Seung Gi, and we have to change our report.”

Tablo said, “I was speechless, and told the staff to change the #1 on the reports before distributing them. No choice, we have to change it to ‘a day before on album release day’ last minute and distributed the reports.”

After Tablo said that, singer Kim TaeWoo also said, “Before I released my album, I heard about the news of Big Bang GDragon releasing his solo album, and I pushed back my album release date.”

And Fly To The Sky Brian added, “That is why I decided to release mine in December.”

But after he was told that Big Bang member TOP will be releasing his solo album in December, he gave a disappointed look, causing laughter in the filming set.

Meanwhile, the 1st episode of ‘Strong Heart’ was aired on 6th October.

After School is making a cameo appearance on the new idol drama, "You're Beautiful" as a girl group named...Before School!

After School member, UEE, has a supporting role in the new drama, "You're Beautiful" and her fellow group members are making a cameo appearance as Before School, a girl group that is under the same company as the main focus of the show, flower boy group, A.N.JELL.

The ladies of After School made their cameo appearance in a club scene where they are interested in main character Go MiNam (played by Park Shin Hye) who is dressed up as a guy. For a full synopsis of the drama, click HERE. The first episode of "You're Beautiful", which includes After School's cameo, will air on October 7th.

2NE1 to appear on ‘Strong Heart’, first talk show appearance since debut

Group 2NE1 will be appearing on a talk show for the first time since their debut.

They will be appearing for the 2nd episode of new variety show SBS ‘Strong Heart’ to be aired on 13th October, and they will be showing off their talents hidden all this while. While the girls have appeared on various music shows, this is the first time they are appearing on a variety show.

The PD to the show said, “It is hard to get 2NE1 to appear on the show, and Sandara Park’s appearance has especially shone throughout the show. She was really good at talking, above what we have expected. And also Gong MinJi showed that it is the end of dance competition amongst girlgroups with her dance on the show.”

‘Strong Heart’ is a new concept talkshow with 24 guest appearance in a talk battle format, and the MCs to the show are Kang HoDong and Lee SeungGi. For the 2nd episode, the guest appearances are 2NE1, HyunYoung, Lee EuJung, Hong SeokCheon etc.

The 1st episode aired on 6th October saw the appearances of stars like GDragon, SeungGi, SNSD YoonA, Tablo, Kim TaeWoo, MC Mong etc.

End of year concert hall coronations and discussion of details… new album releases next month,Girl group 2NE1 will hold a large-scale concert at the end of the year.

The 2NE1 concert is very significant in various ways. The only female groups that have held their own concerts is Finkl(1998,1999) and S.E.S(2000), Wonder Girls(2008), these three groups only. And for a new group whose debut hasn’t even passed a year to hold a solo concert at such a huge performance hall is impossible without a number of hit songs and a huge popularity.

There have been a lot of female idol groups out, and especially this year it has expanded so much to the point where it was called a ‘fountain of girl groups.’ But the reason they were not able to hold concerts is because compared to the male groups, there wasn’t as many enthusiastic participation from fans. So for concert management companies, it wasn’t easy to invest in female group concerts.

But 2NE1 has had an uncommonly great deal of attention since before their debut, and this put them at a different position from all the other girl groups. Even before 2NE1’s debut, they had gone up the music charts with the LG Cyon commercial theme song ‘Lollipop’ in March. In May, they debuted with ‘Fire’ and gained so much popularity that they won first place in a mainstream music program in just one month.

In July after the release of their mini-album, ‘I Don’t Care,’ as well as ‘In the Club’ ‘Let’s Go Party’ ‘Pretty Boy’ and etc. has gained equal popularity and went up in high ranks in the music charts. They not only just catch the eye of the viewer with their dance or fashion, or feminine charm, but they also win with their music and made a huge progression.

After they ended their mini-album activities in mid-September, 2NE1 is planning on releasing another album around November, so they will probably have enough hit songs to fill up the 2 hour performance of the concert. YG Entertainment says, “ 2NE1 has showed a will for a concert since their debut, and since their first mini-album has had an amount of success, reason to agree for a concert was sufficient.”

FT Island’s Lee Hongki transformed himself into SNSD’s Jessica.

Starting its first airing on 7th October, SBS Wed-Thu drama “You’re Beautiful” includes parody music videos and one of which, requires Lee Hongki to transform into SNSD.

The main characters of “You’re Beautiful” challenged themselves in parodies of mega hits like Seo Taiji & Boys’ “I Know“, Roo’ra’s “Wingless Angel“, HOT’s “Candy“, DJ.DOC’s “Run To You“, Crying Nut’s “Let’s Ride A Horse“, Fin.K.L’s “Forever Love” and SNSD’s “Tell Me Your Wish“.

Lee Hongki, who transformed into SNSD’s Jessica, even wore skinny pants and 7cm-tall high heels for the filming. He revealed that, “Few days before the filming, I went to check out the song and the videos and made careful observation of their performance.”

Actually, during the filming of “Tell Me Your Wish“, he had a video call with Tiffany. “Lee Hongki and Jang Geunsuk, who did Jessica and Yoona’s parts respectively, look very pretty and I’m really shocked. I will watch the drama well when it starts,” Tiffany gave her support.

The parody music video will be shown at the end of the episodes as an epilogue before the preview of the next episode. The content will be different every time, giving surprise to the viewers.

Singer WheeSung, who was recently known to be promoting in the States, will be revealing his comeback 6th album title song ‘Jureureuk’ at midnight on 8th October.

The song will be be the title song for WheeSung’s comeback 6th album ‘Vocolate’ and will be revealed on various music sites. 2 other songs will also be revealed with ‘Jureureuk’, they are ‘Over You’ written by Steven Lee and lyrics by WheeSung himself, and ‘Tears keep pouring and pouring’ with lyrics also by WheeSung.

The album ‘Vocolate’ will include in all 9 songs, and will be released online on various online music site on the same day (8th October) at 10 am.

Big Bang's Taeyang will come back solo after being out of the scene for a year and a half.

Taeyang's new single "Where U At" will be released on October 15. Taeyang, who has been influential with his songs "Only Look At Me" and "Prayer" on his first solo mini album HOT, will be considered more than just a lead singer of a popular idol group and will instead prove himself to be a recognized musician.

Taeyang was #1 on various music and broadcast charts and was even predicted to win the end of the year music award by music critics. He also had his first solo concert this year, which was limited to adults and was tailored to older generations.

The "Where U At" music video which will be released on the 15th features famous foreign dancers who praised Taeyang, who was "better than a lot of dancers that they had ever seen. It is uncanny that someone who sings as well as he does can also dance incredibly well."

"Where U At" was produced and composed by Teddy, who seems to be producing hits everywhere with "Only Look At Me," "Prayer," "Lollipop", and 2NE1's "Fire" and "I Don't Care." Their collaboration with this single has high expectations.

"Where U At"'s lyrics are about a man imagining where his soulmate is and why they haven't met yet, which is even more heartfelt considering how similar it is to 22-year-old Taeyang's life story of how he has never had a girlfriend.

Taeyang's solo comeback will open up competition between Big Bang members as G-Dragon is currently flooding the charts with his solo promotions.

YG Entertainment said "'Where U At" will be released just to make Taeyang's first full-length album known, so there will be no accompanying promotions or TV appearances."

Taeyang will then release his second, actual title track "Wedding Dress" in early November. Then, he will start his actual promotions mid-November until the end of the year.

"Wedding Dress" will be somewhat revealed during the latter half of the "Where U At" music video.

Authorities and American diplomats are concerned over the possibility that a recently-released movie depicting the 1997 Itaewon homicide by a Korean-American and the son of a U.S. soldier may fan the flames of anti-Americanism.

The concerns may be backed by the fact that the film has so far attracted more than 300,000 moviegoers.

Twelve years ago, a Korean American and the child of a U.S. soldier were tried for randomly killing a Korean college student in a restaurant in Itaewon, Seoul. They were eventually released from Korean prison.

SHINee's Comeback!

SHINee will be making a comeback after a 5 month long absence from the K-pop scene.

SHINee will release their new mini album titled "2009, Year of Us" on October 19th and start their promotions.

This will mark their third mini album with their last being, "Romeo" in May 2009. Expectations have gone high after their success with "Juliette", "Nuna, You're So Pretty", "Amigo", and "Love like Oxygen".

This mini album will contain a new SHINee style and show their individuality which will help differentiate them from other male idol groups. Not only that, they will also show off their hidden vocal talents. SM Entertainment stated, "We have finished recording the title song and had completed the music video filming on October 8th."

Starting on the 9th, SM will reveal the latest pictures of their newest mini album's pictorial.

Lee Byung-hun Invited to 'Talk Asia'

Korean actor Lee Byung-hun will appear on CNN's "Talk Asia," according to movie distributor K& Entertainment.

The distributor said that the interview request was made by CNN.

"Lee is likely to talk about his pride and philosophy as an actor. The interview, which will be aired to 220 million viewers worldwide, will be held during the Pusan (Busan) International Film Festival," K& Entertainment said in a statement.
