2NE1 to appear on ‘Strong Heart’, first talk show appearance since debut

Group 2NE1 will be appearing on a talk show for the first time since their debut.

They will be appearing for the 2nd episode of new variety show SBS ‘Strong Heart’ to be aired on 13th October, and they will be showing off their talents hidden all this while. While the girls have appeared on various music shows, this is the first time they are appearing on a variety show.

The PD to the show said, “It is hard to get 2NE1 to appear on the show, and Sandara Park’s appearance has especially shone throughout the show. She was really good at talking, above what we have expected. And also Gong MinJi showed that it is the end of dance competition amongst girlgroups with her dance on the show.”

‘Strong Heart’ is a new concept talkshow with 24 guest appearance in a talk battle format, and the MCs to the show are Kang HoDong and Lee SeungGi. For the 2nd episode, the guest appearances are 2NE1, HyunYoung, Lee EuJung, Hong SeokCheon etc.

The 1st episode aired on 6th October saw the appearances of stars like GDragon, SeungGi, SNSD YoonA, Tablo, Kim TaeWoo, MC Mong etc.

I'm sorry but Minji is not a good dancer. if ur into bad popping and locking and gyrating, she's fine. but if u r looking for someone who can do choreography or bgirl moves, she's horrendous. completely overrated.

She may be overrated, but I don't think she's horrendous. Her popping and locking might not be as tight as it could be but she still is actually pretty good and she has the potential. Of course that statement is bullshit because I'm pretty sure Hyoyeon could kick her out of the water.

i mean she's not bad for being as young as she is, but her technique is pretty bad, to be honest. people think she's "fierce" because she humps the air a lot and grinds, but that is not good dancing at all. maybe i'm just picky because i'm a dance major and i've been doing competitive hip-hop dancing since i was 6 :\

I know what you mean, when she was on that dance special with Hyunah, Gain and Nicole I was like aww couldn't you just get it that little bit more and hit it harder. She is pretty sloppy, but she gets good choreography that's why people are so amazed by her sometimes because she can still pull it off. Yeah I know hip hop dancing is about getting shit technically right but it's also about the fire you put across and Minzy has that charm.

Lol, you won't get flamed because it's true. I have something against YGE for the way they trained her in dancing. Some of the choreographies in the videos of her dance practices were full of body waves, gyrating, etc, so it's natural for her to constantly dance "sexily". And the worst of all is that everyone in YGE encourages her "provocative" dancing, calling her 'provocative Minji' and such.

There's a video of her popping when she was about 12 (I think) and even though it's bad popping, she had the potential to improve. Now that she's 15, I wonder where all that went (T_T) All I can do is to hope for my favourite member to explore new moves (that have nothing to do with being 'sexy') and sharpen up (._.)

ya, I have no problem w/ sexy moves but when u just rely on grinding and gyrating instead of technique, it's pretty unimpressive to me xP same reason i don't like Beyonce very much.

That, and it's extremely uncomfortable to see a 15 year old dance like that. :/ Speaking of Beyonce, during her F1 Rocks stage in my country, she had 11 or 12 electrical fans blowing at her that one side of her $500k++ diamond earring got blown away. xD

I think she's a pretty good dancer - not the best, not even at her age, but she's definitely got potential. But ia with you on the choreography bit. I think there are ways to be a really good female dancer without grinding and gyrating every single time.

And lol ignore default Minzy icon, I just couldn't change it.

i dont think shes horrendous but i agree that as a dancer shes very overrated. im hoping that someday YG will give her some choreography that proves to me shes worth the hype.
