2PM’s comeback performances as 6 members on Dream Concert will not be aired

Group 2PM, currently promoting as 6 members after leader member JaeBum left the group, will be performing on Dream Concert coming 10th October. But it was stated that their performances will be edited out from the broadcast of the concert.

A staff to the Dream Concert said, “2PM will go on stage to perform but their performances will be edited before broadcasted. They will be singing the hit songs ‘Again & Again’ and ‘I Hate You’ but by request of the production company (of Dream Concert) it will not be broadcasted.”

Dream Concert will take place on 10th October in Seoul World Cup Stadium from 6.30pm. The MCs for the night will be Kim HeeChul and Song JiHyo.

Performing artistes are Big Bang, Super Junior, So Nyeo Shi Dae, 2PM, SHINee, Jewelry, 2NE1, 4Minute, ChaeYeon, WheeSung, MC Mong, Park HyoShin, KARA, T-ara, f(x), Kim TaeWoo etc – a total of 16 performing teams.

2PM performed on stage for the first time on 25th September for ‘2009 Super Model Contest’ after deciding to promote as 6 members after JaeBum left the group. But back then, only 2 members performed and their performances were not broadcasted on TV.

And even though their Dream Concert performance will be a longawaited performance for fans to see the members on stage again, when it is aired on 11th October at 4.10pm, their performances will not be broadcasted.

SunMin, "Japanese activities for 3 years, it's time to be known in my country"

The hot summer heat is past and it's the start of fall, and a comfortable voice will excite people. While not a typical powerful vocalist, her soft tone is more persuasive than powerful.

Having first debuted in Japan, she is coming to Korea as new female vocalist SunMin. She is starting a new journey after three years and with a deeper voice, she expects to complete her first Korean activity.

In 2006, while she was preparing for a career in Korea she instead started a career with Japan's top singer, Toshinobu Kubota in Japan.

Kubota debuted in 1986, received much love for more than twenty years and was considered "an amazing vocalist, one of the best in the country" - SunMin being able to receive such a support from a top artist, performed a duet with him and received a warm reception.

It's the very song of "Keep Holding You" that was featured as the title song for the movie, "Sinking of Japan". It is a song that Korean artist, Shin Hyesung also sang and received praise for it.

Nichkhun and Wooyoung back on Star King~!

2PM's Nichkhun and Wooyoung have returned to Star King for the first time after the whole Jaebeom incident and got to meet an NBA cheer-leading team. Although it seems this was recorded a while ago.

A New Jersey Nets cheerleader attended Star King on 7th September, giving an outstanding performance. And now, the whole Nets' cheer-leading team, Dunking Divas was out in full force to charm Korean viewers once again. The six cheerleaders with their well-toned figures performed their cheer-leading routine to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" and proved themselves as "Powerful Ladies."

They also showed off their fabulous dunking skills to make it clear that they were just as good as guys, if not better. Wooyoung, Nichkhun and T-ara then joined the women to learn how to dunk using a trampoline as well as getting tips on how to get a lean waist with sexy bottoms.

Dunking Divas' member Melody wrote on her blog to share her experience on being on Star King. She wrote, "To me, it was such a special day. When we dunked, all the audience yelled our names and cheered for us."

Upcoming group B2ST to give sneak peek into debut song

Upcoming group B2ST will be revealing a part of their debut title song.

Coming 11th October on the 8th episode of their documentary MTV B2ST, about 8 lines from the group’s debut song will be revealed. In that episode, the boys were featured going into the recording room and recording their debut song for the first time.

Their company said, “The part of the song revealed will give audience a preview into the strong sound and punky rhythm to the group’s first mini album title song.”


Even though the title song name has not been revealed, it was known that the song was written and composed by Shin SaDong HoRaengEe and Lee Sang Ho who also did 4Minute’s songs like ‘Hot Issue’ and ‘Muzik’.

The 8th episode of MTV B2ST will be aired at 3pm on 11th October.

For what you say? Mnet Scandal! The first pictures of T-ara's Qri and Hyomin on the popular television show, Mnet Scandal have been released!

In the most recent episode of Mnet Scandal, the teaser towards the end of the episode had revealed the next two stars to be featured on the show were Mnet's very own Hyomin and Qri of girl-group T-ara. The pictures showcase Qri and her "boyfriend" wearing cute little bows on their heads, sticking to Qri's ultra-cute look. While on the other hand, Hyomin and her "boyfriend" are wearing bunny ears. Another thing causing a bit of buzz is that.. both of the girls are already holding hands.. on the first episode! Could this lead to a scandal similar to F.T. Island's Jong Hun when he was featured on the show?

It's really great that Qri is getting to do some things by herself, like being featured on this episode and making an appearance in Queen Seon Deok, seeing as we've only heard her sing one or two lines!

'Iris' to Finally Unfold on Small Screen

The actors of the upcoming drama "Iris" smile at cameras at the press conference held in central Seoul, Monday. From left, Jung Jun-ho, Kim Tae-hee and Lee Byung-hun. The new espionage series will start airing Oct. 14 at 9:55 p.m. on KBS.

The upcoming drama "Iris" is expected to be about more than top stars, sleek suits and action scenes.

The 20-episode television soap will finally air next week, and the actors and crew got together one last time for a press conference Monday, at Sogong-dong, central Seoul, to offer what they have in store,

"It's already our third press conference. I have never seen a drama that held so many promotional events," quipped Lee Byung-hun, who stars as the National Security Service agent Kim Hyun-jun.

The espionage series will deal with love, hate and betrayal between spies from both South and North Korea and the dangerous tasks and choices the protagonist, played by Lee, must accomplish. "Iris" follows the recent trend in film and drama making, according to the two directors Kim Kyu-tae and Yang Yun-ho.

Jang Nara says will never do movie with dad again

Singer and actress Jang Nara said Wednesday that she will never again appear in a movie her dad makes.

Jang made the remark during a press conference for her new film "Sky and Sea" co-produced by Christmas Entertainment and JNdivertisseme, a production company owned by her father.

"My dad was supposed to invest just a little but he ended up making a full-scale investment as the film started facing difficulties," Jang said. "He told me this when I was half-way into shooting the movie and I couldn't sleep that night."

2AM to attend Dream Concert

One of the last minute additions to the Dream Concert artist line-up is 2AM. JYPE revealed this information yesterday through their official website. Dream Concert has also been officially added in 2AM's official schedule on thier official website.

As a result of this unexpected announcement by JYPE, IAMs are very mad and upset because the information that they will be performing were released after tickets were sold out. This means that without Hottests on the venue, there will also no IAMs who can show support for 2AM. 2AM might get less support than anyone else.

Furthermore, there is no confirmation that 2AM's performance will be broadcasted. Similar to 2PM, 2AM's performance might just be seen by the Dream Concert audience.

Take it from me, I know!

Pastel has released a new MV and single called ” To Die and Not Forget,” featuring Kim Sung Myun and get that box of tissues ready because it’s definitely a tear jerker.

One of the lines in the song is, “Even if I die, I won’t forget you.” Um, I beg to differ because once you die you don’t know what’s going on anymore so that doesn’t make too much sense.

High School in NY Observes Hangeul Day

Dobbs Ferry High School is about a 50-minute drive from Manhattan. A Dong-A Ilbo reporter visited the school Wednesday, seeing banners reading, “Today, October 7, is Hangeul Day” at many locations, including the entrance to the library, classrooms, corridors and steps.

Posters on the wall also promoted events to introduce Korea and teach the Korean alphabet on the occasion of Hangeul Day.

The school observed the day for the first time this year ahead of Hangeul Day, which is today in Korea. Dobbs Ferry is a small school with around 460 students, most of whom are the children of middle class whites. Less than 10 of the student body are ethnic Koreans.

Nevertheless, the school is observing Hangeul Day through commemorative events due to Dobbs Ferry Principal Keith Ki-dong Yi, who took over the school four years ago, and Marion Halberg, a teacher of English.

Lee and Halberg led the effort to observe Hangeul Day at the school in the hope of teaching students foreign cultures in a natural fashion.

SEOUL, South Korea — Four years ago, when she found that she was pregnant by her former boyfriend, Choi Hyong-sook considered abortion. But after she saw the little blip of her baby’s heartbeat on ultrasound images, she could not go through with it.

As her pregnancy advanced, she confided in her elder brother. His reaction would sound familiar to unwed mothers in South Korea. She said he tried to drag her to an abortion clinic. Later, she said, he pressed her to give the child up for adoption.

“My brother said: ‘How can you be so selfish? You can’t do this to our parents,’ ” said Ms. Choi, 37, a hairdresser in Seoul. “But when the adoption agency took my baby away, I felt as if I had thrown him into the trash. It felt as if the earth had stopped turning. I persuaded them to let me reclaim my baby after five days.”

Mariah Carey to appear on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook

Reported from the news today, October 8, Mariah Carey will participate in Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook. This is her first time ever appearing on Korean music show. On October 13, she’ll have the show recording on Sketchbook studio, as a part of her album promo “Memories Of An Imperfect Angel” activities during her stay in Seoul. In addition to that, around 1:30pm on the same day, she’ll conduct a press conference at the Rose Memorial hall, Grand InterContinental Hotel, Seoul. Then on the 14th, cable music channel MTV has recorded a session with her for “MTV The Stage” along with host/MC Alex (Clazziquai). Then after the fanmeeting and completing all her events, Mariah Carey will leave Seoul on the 15th.

If my calculation is correct, since Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook usually airs every Fridays, her episode will come out next week Friday, October 16.

Bada will continue her activity with the song 2PM Taecyeon featured.She plans to show her first stage of "Yes, i'm in love" (feat. Taecyeon) at Mnet M.Countdown on October 8th.In "Yes, i'm in love", Bada's powerful voice and Taecyeon's beasty rap make a great harmony together. It was a candidate for Bada's 4th album's title song, but it was pushed over by "Mad".

Also, picture of Taecyeon and Bada together taken at the studio once gathered public's attention.Through the recent interview with Newsen, Bada said "I watched 2PM's performance on TV by chance, and i fell for it at once.
