On a recent recording of KBS JOY "Day and Night Handsome Guys’ Carriage", a question was posed to members of 2AM, “Among the current female singers, who would you choose as a girlfriend?”

Lee Chang Min, the eldest of the group, said that he would choose Yuri from SNSD. Jo Kwon chose HyunA of 4Minute and Jinwoon chose 2NE1’s Sandara Park.

Seulong heard the members’ choices and responded, "All the members of the girl group have their own charm. It is difficult to choose but my ideal is After School’s UEE."

There has been focus on actor Kim Jisuk after he revealed that he had a special relationship with Sunny of SNSD.

Kim Jisuk surprised MC’s and guests on the ‘Playboys’ special of ‘Yoo Jaesuk and Kim Wonhee’s Come to Play’ after introducing his friendship with Sunny of SNSD.

On the show, Kim Jisuk garnered attention for stating, “I’ve actually known Sunny since she was in 5th grade. I was friends with her father so I visited her house quite a lot. Sunny’s real name is Soonkyu and she was just young and cute, so I would say ‘Hi Soonkyu~’”

And member JoKwon has picked 4Minute HyunA has his ideal type while ChangMin said, “I think So Nyeo Shi Dae Yuri is very cool”. Youngest Jung JinWoo picked 2NE1 Sandara Park while Im SeulOng picked After School UEE.

And then MC Go YeongWook sad, “Truthfully recently I have been paying much attention to 2NE1 Gong MinJi.” and then Shin JungHwan who was around said, “You want to have another scandal” which caused laughter in the studio.

We’ve seen the promotional photos (and Yoon Eun-hye’s character photos) for KBS’s new drama My Fair Lady [aka Please Take Care of the Young Lady, 아가씨를 부탁해]. Now the production has released the first set of still shots from the drama’s first day of filming; the show’s inaugural shoot took place on July 24 in Ilsan (Kyunggi province) and Seoul.

In these scenes, Yoon’s character is ordered to do community service. (I’m just speculating, but perhaps as punishment for rich-bish bad behavior? I wonder if this has something to do with how she meets Jung Il-woo’s human-rights lawyer character.) Therefore, she ends up at a children’s day-care center, looking after kids and cleaning out a chicken coop. Her character is an arrogant and difficult “princess” type from a rich family.

Yoon Sang-hyun, on the other hand, used to work at a nightclub, is poor, and comes to be Yoon’s household manager/butler.

My Fair Lady premieres August 19.

In the SBS Drama “Dream,” Kim Bum was transformed into a rough and tough guy.

He plays a pickpocket who spent time in a juvenile correctional facility and now practices mixed martial arts. The first episode of the drama was aired on 27th July.

According to officials, “Kim Bum has put in a lot of effort to portray a rugged look for his role. Due to diet, filming more than 3 hours per day and training, he has lost 6 kg in a month.”

In the KBS Drama Boys Over Flowers, his character as a playboy has led to an increase in his popularity once it aired. This time, Kim Bum will experience a total change in appearance, style, mood, personality and tone of voice. Viewers will get to see a complete transformation of Kim Bum, as he takes on a manly image.

N.Korea's 1st Fast-Food Restaurant Opens

This Choson Sinbo photo shows two North Korean women serving at a fast-food restaurant that opened in Pyongyang.

North Korea's first fast-food restaurant selling hamburgers and waffles has opened in the center of Pyongyang. Although there are hamburger joints in North Korea, this is the first full-fledged franchise-style fast-food restaurant there.

The Choson Sinbo, a Pyongyang mouthpiece in Japan, last Saturday reported the fast-food restaurant opened at the Kumsong Intersection in Pyongyang early last month and plans to open a branch in downtown Pyongyang in the near future.

Wonder Girl Ye Eun updated her twitter showing her mexican fans some love.

JYPE USA confirmed that the Wonder Girls will be opening the two concerts of the Jonas Brothers scheduled for July 31st in Monterrey, Mexico. The Jonas Brothers was previously cancelled because of the swine flu outbreak in Mexico. Because all the tickets were already sold, the concert was rescheduled and the two concerts will be held on the same day one at 3pm and the second one at 7pm CST.

Monterrey  is the capital city of the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo León. (Its 2 hrs away from the border of Texas)

5 member band, FT Island, expresses their views on whether idols should give up their studies for career.

In a recent interview with Money Today Star News, FT Island shared with us how they handle both their studies and career.

Members, Choi Jonghoon and Lee Hongki are currently undergraduates while Choi Minhwan, Song Seunghyun and Lee Jaejin are still high school students. We see a clear difference in their way of thinking.

Current undergraduates, Choi Jonghoon and Lee Hongki gave their stand that, “It is necessary to graduate from high school.”

Lee Hongki expressed that, “It’ll be good if the school can help their students to realize their dreams. It’s not about instilling knowledge from the course books, it’s about helping each and every individual to realize their dreams through various forms of education.”

However, members who are still in high school, Song Seunghyun, Choi Minhwan and Lee Jaejin expressed that, “We support the idea of idols giving up their studies.”

Choi Minhwan added on, “In the entertainment industry, we get to learn things that we can’t learn in school. So I think it will be a better choice. It’ll be tiring to handle both studies and career at the same time because we will want to do our best in everything.”

Lee Jaejin said, “Things that we learn in high school are not being used practically. However, to realize your dream, you will still have to continue to do self-study.”

FT Island’s latest album “Cross & Change” is out in stores and they are currently promoting the title song “Barae (I Hope)”.

K.Will Enters into Wang Bi Ho’s Wrath



Wang Bi Ho is at it again! The gag man, who performs on the KBS program "Gag Concert", came on ready to tear apart artist K.Will.

He starts comparing K.Will's name to a shoe company, but once he finally spots him, he shouts, "OH! It's Daesung!!... wait is that a compliment or an insult?"

He then goes on to talk about K.Will's stint as Lee Min Ho's vocal coach, pulling out a picture of them staring at the floor and commenting, "Wow... it looks like they really don't get along." Going on with a bit of advice, "You should make a group with Lee Min Ho and leech off his fame. You're leeching off of Daesung's fame already anyway! Look at Shindong from Super Junior! Do you think he would have been popular as a solo artist?"

Going on a rant about how groups are more successful and whatnot, he suddenly cuts himself off with a big sigh. The reason? "Why do all the talented artists have such fail faces?"

Classic Wang Bi Ho. A little heavy on the whole looks department, but it was well delivered. Rolling with the punches, K.Will didn't seem to mind the jokes too much either.

``It's all about the attention effect. The main goal for an advertisement or a promotion would be actual purchasing or participation. But before that, you have to attract people to get them involved. Japanese idol gets anti-fans after confessing her affection for TVXQ Yunho

Member Japanese Idol group AKB48, Atsuko Maeda (18 yrs old) admits she’s a huge fan of DBSK’s Jung Yunho.

According to a report in Tokyo Ginza, Maeda expressed, “Yunho is a tall, thoughtful man. When the first trading card to commemorate THSK was released in a bookstore, I immediately went to get it. I really like him.”

After she announced her affection for Yunho in her blog, fans bought her CDs and posters and tore them apart, expressing their discontent with the singer.
