Song Seung-heon looks for his next role

Good news for fans of Song Seung-heon! Expect him to be back in another acting role before the year is out — although it won’t be on television. The East of Eden actor, who enjoyed a tremendous amount of popularity and support for his television comeback in that series, has announced his plans to take on a film role in the latter half of this year, which he’ll precede with a photo spread.

He explained his plans in a press conference on the 18th in Akasaka, Japan. Song had a lot of good words to say about his role in Eden, describing it as a “180 turnaround from my previous image,” as well as praise for his co-star Jo Min-ki, whom he described as completely opposite of his hateful drama character once the cameras were off. He also said, “For now I’m planning to do non-drama work, and I’m thinking to take on a new drama series sometime early next year.”

The interview with Song will be broadcast in more extended form on July 20 and 21 on OBS TV’s program Special Entertainment News [독특한 연예뉴스].

snsd fulfills first of 9 wishes

The first wish for the event "Tell Me Your Wish", which was held to celebrate the release of So Nyuh Shi Dae's second mini-album, was finally fulfilled.

The chosen main character for the first wish is lucky person Jang Chanho (17), who beat the tough competition by applying with the wish "I want to become SNSD's manager for one day". Jang Chanho met SNSD personally on the 12th of July at the SBS "Inkigayo" location and besides the broadcast recording as well as the interview, he spent the day together with SNSD and their schedule.

Australian singer Lenka—with whom the Korean public has become well-acquainted after her song, “The Show,” was featured in a popular commercial—is garnering attention after revealing that she would like to meet the Wonder Girls.

On the 17th, in an interview held via e-mail with representatives for the Pentaport Rock Festival, the singer was asked, “Is there a Korean singer you either know of or would like to meet?” In response to the question, she revealed, “I want to see the Wonder Girls. I’ve heard their music before on Perez Hilton’s blog and it was really good.”

DNT is back with ‘Crazily Pretty’, Big Bang era comeback?

Group DNT (Dragon N Tiger) released the MV to their comeback title song ‘Crazily Pretty’ on 20th July.
And immediately with the MV (thanks to Mardi09 for the MV!) release, the group was up on one of the top searches on search portal sites. Many are saying that they are bringing back the Big Bang style with this MV.
The boys will release their comeback single album online on 23rd July.

Teasers to T-ara & Yoo Seung Ho MV Collaboration

Upcoming group T-ara and actor Yoo Seung Ho will be collaborating for the group’s debut song ‘Lies’ MV.

And on 20th July, some still cuts from the MV filming were being released online.

These are the photos taken during the MV filming for T-ara’s debut song ‘Lies’ last week.

In the photos revealed, the girls done the antique look, in some photos they were also seen wearing wedding dresses, and also in others they don the chic look in mini dresses. Their pure innocent look goes with that of ‘Korea’s little brother’ Yoo Seung Ho.

Many netizens are already very curious as in how what style will the song ‘Lies’ be with the release of these photos.

Meanwhile the girls will make their debut on MBC ‘Golden Fishery Radio Star’ on 29th July before performing Mnet M!Countdown on 30th July.

SHINee, 2PM, 4minute and others to come out on 'Big Idols Appeared!'

We will be able to meet the super star idols 2PM, 2AM, FT Island, 4minute, and others on weekdays.

On SBS PowerFM (107.7MHz) “Choi Hwajung’s PowerTime”, there will be a summer vacation special for Korea’s idol stars. From July 20th to July 24th, SHINee, 2PM, FT Island, 4Minute, 2AM, IU, Outsider, and others will come out on “Big Idols Appeared!” on PowerTime. There will be a special “mental” break where listeners will ask 100 questions and stars will give 100 answers.

‘Big Idols Appeared!’ will air from 12:30PM to 1:30PM.

It will be broadcasted on viewable radio in which the idol stars will enjoy themselves while singing live and mimicking others’ vocals.

While the idol stars appear from Monday through Friday, there will also be an online competition to see which stars will be the most discussed on their respective days.

Lee Junki 2009 in Japan for Splendor

As announced, Lee Junki was in Japan over the weekend to perform for fans in Kobe and Yokohama for another series of fan concerts that seated 8,000 attendees.

This event was called “Lee Junki 2009 in Japan for Splendor,” which follows his last series of fan concerts called Episode 2: “The Mask.” Neither title makes a whole lot of sense, but hey, it’s Lee Junki, and a Junki who made perfect sense would be boring. (LOL IA)

In addition to songs from his single album “J-Style,” he also sang songs from several of the OSTs of his dramas: in Kobe on the 18th, he sang “Foolish Heart” [미련한 가슴아] from Time of Dog and Wolf, and on the 19th he performed Iljimae soundtrack song “Flower’s Message” [화신].

Apparently, Lee Junki came to the Yokohama concert dressed in a yellow bear costume (er?) and arrived at the entrance an hour prior to the concert’s start, where 5,000 fans waited to enter. Along with one other person, he took photos with the fans as though he were an amusement park character. It wasn’t until later when he came out in costume that fans realized he’d been the one they’d taken photos with. Not too surprisingly, the whole idea is credited to Lee Junki himself. Oh, wacky, weird Lee Junki, never change!

FT Island released their 3rd album 2 years after debut. Saying goodbye to sorrowful tracks from their 2nd album, FT Island comes back on stage with bright and cheerful songs.

Idol band, FT Island, brings us smiles ever since their debut 2 years back.

FT Island consists of the following members, Lee Hongki (vocal), Choi Jonghoon (guitar), Song Seunghyun (guitar), Lee Jaejin (bass) and Choi Minhwan (drums). Since their debut in 2007, their songs like “Lovesick“, “Thunder“, “After Love“, “Bad Woman” and other sorrowful rock ballads have gained lots of popularity. Lee Hongki’s melancholic singing style has become the trademark of the band. The way he expressed love and separation in the songs captured many women’s heart.

The band’s latest released album, titled “Cross & Change“, has a special meaning. Unlike their previous albums which create a dark and heavy atmosphere, their new title song “Barae (I Hope)” portrays the vibrant energy of young men in their early 20s. It is also a crossover between rock and electronica and it gives off a brighter and lighter touch to the songs. Members also look different on stage this time. Wonder Girls showed a great performance at their first successful appearance on a U.S. entertainment show.
On 20th July at 10am, the Wonder Girls appeared on Fox TV ‘The Wendy Williams Show’. The girls sang their hit song ‘Nobody’ and responses from the audience was beyond what was expected as they received a standing ovation and cheers.

The five girls and Wendy Williams had a lot of fun at the show, laughing throughout the conversation. The Wonder Girls started with simple self-introduction then talked about the the relationship with popular bands, including Jonas Brothers.

So i double checked what he said with korean friends
So after Marry U, Leeteuk said that ELF should stop singing "we will protect 13 members" but sing "we will protect super junior" instead. But at first ELF continued singing 'we will protect 13 members'
then Heechul started chanting "we will protect super junior we will protect super junior"
Jungsoo explained that it should stop because the members are very unhappy too as they feel bad for henry and zhoumi.

Basically, the group is as it is, it's SJM as 7 and sj are 13 (when kibum is there.... but that wasn't the subject, i'm the one adding this), and it's been 2 years since the beginning of the drama so now the subject should be dropped. That he didn't actually say it, also because who knows if sj will ever be 13 again. But that was the way he was meaning it it seems.

"we will protect 13 members" was what ELF was singing during henry violin solo and also in the middle of some sentence of Marry U. They also added it in the intro of Twins.

As it was the last day of concert we will have to wait for SMTOWN to see if they are following the leader words.
