Recently, it was reported that fans have been making a huge ruckus saying Tiffany of SNSD / Girls’ Generation did not wear any under garments during the girls’ performance of Etude on Music Core after Yoona was seen lifting up Tiffany’s dress. This incident thus became one of the top searched topics on Korean portal sites.

Earlier today on Tae Yeon’s Chin Chin Radio, all nine members were on the show’s live broadcast as guests. During a session of "Who Are You?", where fans text in questions they want to ask their favorite stars, one fan asked, "Yoona, Tiffany. What happened with the dress issue?", which made the girls laugh as they replied, “We really wanted to talk about this."

Mnet ‘2NE1 TV’ which shows the girls and what they do in 24 hours, starting to air from 2nd July, features member MinJi talking about her feelings being said to look alike to Big Bang member DaeSung and to be called the female DaeSung.

In the show, they featured the girls meeting up with the Big Bang members at the end of their music show recording and at the MV filming site for the boys.

After seeing MinJi, DaeSung said, “Recently, I’m sorry to say but we still can’t really see eye to eye. It is still quite awkward for the 2 of us.” Yang Hyun Seok also added, “Our MinJi is the female DaeSung.” causing a wave of laugther in the fiming site.

Singer Lee Hyori has recently become the judge and the core committee audition show ‘Mnet SuperStar K’ taking place on 26th and 27th June in CoEx together with other veteran singers like Lee Seung Chul, In SoonI, Yoon Jong Shin etc.

There were many instances when Lee Hyori would pose challenging and embarrassing, to some extent, questions to the people auditioning. For example there was a 18-year-old innocent looking student and she had ordered, “Try dancing without any music companion”.

She explained, “Being kind will be one big obstacle to you as a singer. You will need to be able to build up the charisma on stage and your strong will to win. Even if you sing well, if you are not ambitious, you will not seemed like you have capabilities on stage. You may even need to be a little imprudent. Try to scold everyone from your heart for one month.” giving a little advice on that.

 

She continued, “To start with, trying to curse (scold) these judges sitting right in front of you. Tell yourself ‘I’m the best’.” She had taught her know-how to be able to be one of Korea’s sexy top stars to the participants at the audition without holding back.

Not only so, she revealed at the judging, “I don’t like the pretty boy style”. She revealed, “Recently even though there is much popularity with this pretty boy thing, I prefer boys with individuality and more boyish.” She would say things like “That’s my style” to male participants who are further away even with the pretty boys standing nearer to her.

Lee Seung Chul who is also one of the judges, “I am really surprised by the type of guys that Lee Hyori likes.”

‘SuperStar K’ will start airing on Mnet from 24th July.

T-ara's faces finally revealed

Together with member JiYeon famous as the ‘2nd Kim TaeHee’, the faces of the 6-member upcoming group T-ara has been revealed.

T-ara is a group 3 years in making. And member JiYeon is already busy promoting with group SeeYa and Davichi for their project group digital single. And starting from 8th July, JiYeon’s horror drama ‘Soul’ will also be airing on MBC.

T-ara was actually first revealed in Apil and had made quite a topic with their powerful vocals but after that 2 members JiAe and JiWon left the group. After that singer Lee Mi Yeong’s daughter Lee BoRam joined, and 2 more members QRi and So Yeon joined to make the group 6 members.

In the profile photos revealed on 3rd July, the members was dressed in golden wavy hair, giving out a sexy and feminine image. Back then the image they don when first revealed in April was fresh girls feeling.

The girls will release another photo on 7th July, and will start promoting their debut album mid-July.

SNSD's Tiffany has become the 3rd vocalist on MBC Sunday Sunday Night's Oppa Band.

When planning Oppa Band's first perfomance, the 2nd vocalist Seo Inyoung was to asked to help, but because of overseas schedules, she couldn't be in Korea, causing them to face an emergency matter. Manager Kim Gura made several calls, but he encountered a wall. However because of Super Junior's Sungmin, they were able to get Tiffany as a guest vocalist.

[...] At MT*, Sungmin and Trax's Kim Jungmo engaged in hostility with each other, with Tiffany in between.

In honour of King of Pop's Michael Jackson, and for the only woman present, they play the first half of the year's hit song "Gee", with Sungmin and Tiffany singing together, transforming it into a refreshing rock song that matches well with summer. This is confirmed for the second part of Ilbam on the 5th.

Five-time world champion Michelle Kwan will join Kim Yu-na at Ice All Stars 2009.

IB Sports, Kim's agency, announced Thursday that the American star figure skater has confirmed her participation in the ice show, scheduled to take place from Aug. 14 to 16 in Seoul.

It will be Kwan's first action since she quit the sport due to a hip injury in 2006.

For her first visit to Korea, she has been preparing for two gala programs.

According to the agency, Kwan, a two-time Olympic medal winner, said that she is happy to skate in Kim's native country, Korea.

Along with Kwan, the ice show boasts a decorated roster. Taemin's Special Piano Performance on this Week's Music Core

Big Bang GDragon’s solo album to be released on his 21st birthday

Big Bang leader GDragon will release his first solo album on 18th August on his 21st birthday.

Yang Hyun Seok revealed that on Mnet ‘2NE1 TV’ aired on 2nd July. And on a phone interview with YG on 2nd July, They revealed, “We will have to look into the situation more carefully.”

GDragon’s solo album was pushed back from the initial release date in April because of his slight depression due to great workload he was handling that time. Hence he will be the 4th one from the group after TaeYang, DaeSung and SeungRi to go on his solo activities.

And GDragon is the 2nd member from the group to have his solo album. There are also plans for DaeSung to release a non-trot solo album later this year, and there are also plans TaeYang’s 2nd solo album.

Gu Hye Sun's Tango art exhibition opened on 01 July at La Mer Gallery in Insadong, Seoul. Her work consists of 42 paintings all made in her chosen hue - the colour blue. Gu's Boys Over Flowers co-stars Lee Min Ho and Kim Joon attended the exhibition and happily viewed the pictures while Gu provided them with brief descriptions of each.

Multi-talented Gu has also published a book of the same name. It's great to see them supporting each other and attending events after working together in the hit drama, BOF.

YG Entertainment said on the 3rd that they will take strong actions against the leakage of the several photos of 2NE1 members posing with no makeup on.

A YG representative said, “We are currently investigating into the source of the leakage. The photos leaked out are the stillcuts of when our staff was deciding on the style and cordi for the girls.”

“We are now investigating into how they were leaked out. This seems like some bad intentions with the recent release of the girls’ new song ‘I Don’t Care’. Our company will make a strong stand that we will be taking actions against whoever leaked them.”

Vocal group, Tohoshinki's new Japanese single was released and they sold almost 120,000 singles in 2 days, which is no mean feat.

On 2nd July, according to the calculations by Oricon Style, Tohoshinki's 28th single [Stand by U], which was released on 1st July, sold 24,946 on the second day of sales.

Released on the 1st, the single sold a total of 94,838 on the first day, and combining the sales of 24,946 on the second day, that is a total of 119,784, breaking past the 100K mark. In the 4 years since their Japanese debut, of all the Japanese singles that Tohoshinki released, this is the fastest single to pass the 100K mark.

Rain rejects Megan Fox but she “will not give up”
