Jang Yoon Jeong and Big Bang are top favourite singers chosen by Koreans for year 2009

Korea Gallop did an investigation on Koreans from all ages recently and found out the top 10 favourite singers for Koreans for the year 2009.

And the top favourite singer went to trot singer Jang Yoon Jeong with 7.4% of votes and group Big Bang is at #2 on the ranking with 6.8% of votes.

1st Teaser for Brown Eyed Girls 3rd Album

In line with their despair.tear.wait.revenge concept for their previous hit song How Come, the Brown Eyed Girls are adopting a similar approach for their title track off their 3rd album which will be out on 20th July. The Brown Eyed Girls are adopting a "City Girl" with their first teaser titled as Oasis and featuring Narsha. You can hear Narsha sing a few lines with Miryo rapping in the background in this teaser, while the earlier swings around on a swing. Unluckily for Narcia, she suffered minor leg injuries after falling off the swing during the filming. Nega Network expressed confidence that Narsha will recover in time for the Brown Eyed Girls comeback in a few weeks time.

2PM’s leader Jaebeom has made a surprising confession that he was secretly worried about members

Jaebeom, Taecyeon and Wooyoung recently has recorded KBS Star Golden Bell. At the beginning, Taeyeon has revealed Wooyoung’s sleeping habit that he was on the computer alone at night, Wooyoung grinded his teeth so badly.

Taecyeon was surprised by Wooyoung’s habit but upon hearing he was on the the computer, MC Kim Jae made a cross-examine “what were you doing at night that you got surprised?"

Taecyeon confoundedly replied that he was monitoring the shows (which they had been on). All of the sudden, Jaebeom threw an unexpected question “What should I do if I see members watching adult movies?” which caused Taecyeon panic.

Stars who took part in this recording are Moo Hee Jun, 2pm (Jaebeom, Taecyeon, Wooyoung), Chae Young In, Oh Jae Mee, Davichi (Kang Min Kyung), Han Kyung Il, 8eight (Lee Hyun), Yang Weon Kyung, Sa Min, Ann Seo, Paek Seung Weon, Kim Tae Weon, Jo Bin, Jung Joo Ri, Kim Tae Hyun. A group in Korea called Sorea, which aims to promote and trendinize Korea’s traditional music, did a parody for So Nyeo Shi Dae’s recent hit ‘Tell Me Your Wish’. And their UCC video is circulating on the internet and had gained much interests from the netizens for such a unique parody.

They also did parodies on Big Bang, 2NE1 and Super Junior’s music.

After School’s Uee in ‘Queen Seon-duk’

Uee, has been cast for the childhood role of the character, ‘Mi-sil’, played by actress Ko Hyun-jung. The production team for the drama, ‘Queen Seon-duk’, was in search of an actress with an innocent and intelligent image to play the younger ‘Mi-sil’ for the reminiscent scenes of ‘Mi-sil’ as a young adult. After searching high and low amongst a long list of rookie actresses, the production team ended up offering Uee the role.

Episodes 13 and 14, starring Uee, will air in Korea on July 6th and 7th.

On the 4th, at 5:05, SBS TV had it summer special episode of “Star Junior Show Boonguh Bbang*” aptly titled “Eenguh Bbang**”. In this episode, the mothers of various stars were invited. Singer Moon Heejun, Super Junior’s Yesung and Shindong, Lee Jihae, So Nyuh Shi Dae Sooyoung, Kara’s Kyuri, Nam Changhee, Kim Jungmin, etc. went on show with their mothers.

Brown Eyed Girls Narsha hospitalised while filming for comeback teaser video

News had it that Brown Eyed Girls member Narsha was hospitalised after injuring herself from a fall while the girls were filming for their comeback teaser video.

The girls were shooting the teaser video for their comeback 3rd album recently when Narsha had a fall after losing balance herself on a swing.

Fortunately she did not fall from a great height and did not suffer from major injuries. She was sent to the hospital immediately for treatment after that. But as for the girls’ upcoming comeback, their company said, “She is currently still receiving treatment for her injuries. She will do her best and continue with the plans for the girls’ comeback.”

The girls will comeback beginning of July to join the war of the girl groups with other groups like 2NE1, So Nyeo Shi Dae, KARA and 4Minute.

Oh no! :( Park Myung Soo warded for acute hepatitis

Park Myung Soo has been awarded in hospital after being diagnosed with acute hepatitis this morning. His radio show, Park Myung Soo's Dating at 2pm was handed temporarily over to announcer, Oh Sang Jin in his absence.

According to someone from Park Myung Soo's agency, he had started to feel some discomfort since last week due to an overload in his schedule recently. Park Myung Soo had actually gone to the hospital this morning to get treated for flu but he was later diagnosed to have developed acute hepatitis, where flu is one of the symptoms. The source also revealed that from the checkup, Park Myung Soo's liver was diagnosed to be operating at an unhealthy level and a detailed report of his health status will only be out later today.

Park Myung Soo is currently being warded for further observation and it's still touch-and-go on whether he can continue working, including filming for Infinity Challenge, etc.

No Big Bang or Wonder Girls in 2009



We all know about JYP's mission to make the Wonder Girls American debut a blinding success and they are now the opening acts for all but 2 of Jonas Brothers concert tour stops until the end of 2009. That effectively means no Korean albums in 2009 for Korean Wonderfuls. The same goes for Big Bang's VIPs when it was announced recently that there were no plans for a 2009 Korean album as well.

No Wonder Girls nor Big Bang in 2009. The same goes for MC Mong, Lee Hyori and others which I can't remember. The K-pop scene of 2009 looks so lonely without them. With less than 1/2 of 2009 to go, hopefully someone steps up to the plate.

2PM’s member Taecyeon said “I lack sense of fashion so I like the girl who can outperform it” which attracted the attention of viewers.

On June 30, in the segment “Fantastic Star Live Show” on “Choi Hwa Jung’s Power FM” Taecyeon has talked about his ideal girl “Since I don’t have sense of fashion so I like a girl who has distinguished talent above me”.

Still stay on the topic of ideal girls, Junsu said “I prefer girls who have distinction in style to plain one”. Wooyoung’s ideal is girls who dress neat t-shirt with jeans, Junho’s ideal is someone who wears what looks good on herself, for Chansung, he likes girls who dress properly according to occasions, places and situations.

Choi Hwa Jung asked 2PM members “Do you like girls in bikini or in one piece for swimsuit?” and they all said honestly that they liked girls in bikini.

Also, to answer to the question about ideal girls they said that Jessica Alba was their ideal making fans jealous.
