Jang Yoon Jeong and Big Bang are top favourite singers chosen by Koreans for year 2009

Korea Gallop did an investigation on Koreans from all ages recently and found out the top 10 favourite singers for Koreans for the year 2009.

And the top favourite singer went to trot singer Jang Yoon Jeong with 7.4% of votes and group Big Bang is at #2 on the ranking with 6.8% of votes.

Well I'm in the legitimate noona/unnie age range and I was so enamoured by NKTOB and then NSYNC when those two waves flooded the American market... when I first really started paying attention to Big Bang and listened to their music and took it upon myself to start figuring out who they were (first post I remember of them when I joined Omona was this one where everyone was speculating if GD had a receeding hairline because of how he had his hair slicked back for some performance, I had no idea who they were or anything at the time, probably a week or so later in the FFA I asked for music recs and people said Big Bang I think... since then I've been hopeless, anyways...) These guys have that intangible spark that appeals to more than just teens, it makes me all smilely to see my belief valididated in these numbers.
