Photos of Lee Hyori’s 30th birthday party have been revealed.
Her birthday, which falls on 10th May, was celebrated with her close friends over a dinner party. The photos were revealed through her close friend of 10 years Ahn Ji Hye’s minihompy.
Also in the photos, staylist Jung Bo Yoon who has been Lee Hyori’s stylist since her Fin.K.L times; and Kim Do Hyun producer to her first album ‘10 Minutes’ and singer MayBee were also seen at the party.
Ahn Ji Hye was known for her photoshoot together with Lee Hyori taken last March in America Las Vegas. The 2 had known each other since they were studying in Korean university in the theatrics and movies course.

KBS apologises

KBS show ‘Entertainment Weekly’, which has recently angered Big Bang fans with mistaking the composer to Big Bang song ‘Lies’ as the Brave Brothers instead of GDragon, has made an official apology.
They wrote an article on their viewers noticeboard on 11th May with the title ”To inform”. In the post it was written, “There is an error in the caption on our show on 9th May where we put up a caption saying ‘Lies (Big Bang) – Braves Brothers composition’.”
The production group said, “The song ‘Lies’ is composed by Big Bang member GDragon which it is arranged by the Brave Brothers. Our production group will be more prudent and pay more attention to such details in the future.”

East of Eden actress Han Ji-hye recently announced her latest endeavor: shoe design. In accordance with that goal, she took off to study the craft of shoemaking and design in Florence, Italy.
Han said of the experience, “The process of taking on the challenge of shoe design for the first time wasn’t easy, but seeing the shoes I designed being created, I feel really satisfied and amazed. I felt a lot of things as I saw the love and passion that the craftsmen had for the shoes. This opportunity will help me advance another step and grow in my passion as an actor.”

Hwang Bora as photographed by Bbaek Ga
Take a look at the famous faces featured in the exhibition “THE Faces” by Koyote singer Bbaek Ga (real name Baek Sung-hyun), which opened on May 11.
The subjects of the photos — which include singers and actors like Eugene, Hwanhee, Wheesung, Hwang Bora (above), and Yoo Ah-in — also came to the opening of the exhibit to take a look at the finished product.
As we know, there are quite a lot of celebrities who enjoy dabbling in photography, such as Yoo Ji-tae, So Ji-sub, Moon Geun-young, and others. (More include: Park Ji-yoon, Bae Doo-na, Yoon Kye-sang, Ryu Shi-won.) With fellow groupmate Kim Jong-min currently serving his military duty, Bbaek Ga has turned more to his photography in the interim, and has put together a collection of 23 photographs.
Celebrities in the post are Bae Soo-bin, Eugene, Yoo Ahn-ni, Fly to the Sky, Hwangbo, Eru, SES's Shoo, K.Will, So Yu-jin, Wheesung, Lee Pa-ni and Yoon Gun.

omg, it's by100~ I remember wanting to buy his photo essay book.. IF ONLY I KNEW KOREAN, or mostly, if only I had money.. I like his photography. Apparently, it was good too? :( He did some stuff with Epik High and Nell (the Trace!), and I think he was an EH backdancer. UM and troop fashion! ... & some more of his photography on his cyworld.

On the show Ya Shim Man Man Season 2, the group was discussing Solbi's latest plastic surgery and how it shouldn't be a big deal since it was her decision. Solbi herself said "I don't understand why people are saying stuff even while expecting celebrities to become prettier. I am more confident after getting surgery and I feel like I can take on the antis. To be honest, if you walk down the street and grab someone, you'll find many people who have done some tuning."
Yoon Jong Shin went on to say "Truthfully, many people won't say much about your surgery because it was your own choice", but Kang Ho Dong couldn't resist adding "Honestly, instead of talking about your plastic surgery, more people say that you need to start reading some books" and implying that she wasn't very smart. Solbi, being the feisty one that she is, didn't miss the implication and attacked Kang Ho Dong's statement questioning "Who? I want to talk about this. Isn't this just your own thoughts? What exactly did you mean by that? and caused Kang Ho Dong to freeze in his spot.
After seeing this, MC Mong stated "Seeing Solbi is like seeing Shinji and Seo In Young's characters put together" and drew out laughs. Kang Ho Dong asked apologetically "Aren't you actually really smart? to which Solbi replied "I don't actually die to read books either." Although Kang Ho Dong said it like he didn't mean it, I think a lot of people probably agree with that statement. I know I do, and in my opinion (which is the only one that matters anyway), she needs to fix that brain of hers before she starts fixing her face.

After completing all his movie projects on hand, Kim Bum will next be embarking on a new drama project together with Son Dambi and Joo Jin Mo for SBS Dream. It was announced today that the new Mon-Tue drama will see Kim Bum becoming a tough guy again who practises mixed martial arts. He will thus shed his gentle, pretty boy image that was forged in Boys Before Flowers and revert back to his charismatic image shown in East of Eden.
Dream is a sports drama about Kim Bum who turns good after being in a youth correctional facility. Joo Jin Mo becomes his (Kim Bum) mentor in his quest to become a top mixed martial arts exponent. Son Dambi, more known for her singing and whose Hollywood movie went up in smoke, will make her acting debut in this drama instead. Dambi will be acting as the daughter of a mixed martial arts academy director.
Filming for Dream will commence soon, with the broadcast set for September.

Actor Jo In Sung had enlisted in the Air Force last month for his mandatory military service, leaving his fans worried over whether he was able to adapt to the tough military training. A photo of Jo In Sung in uniform was published on the Air Force official website soon after his enlistment with his fans mighty relieved to see their idol looking in good shape. But new reports have surfaced today that, although Jo In Sung looks fine in the photo, he has suffered greatly during the tough training regime and had already been hospitalized twice within a month.

Big Bang GDragon, who has been on an Europe trip recently, has ended the trip on 10th May.
After he ended the vacation, he headed straight for Japan to start on promotional activities like going on broadcast programmes etc.
YG Entertainment said on the 12th, “GDragon will go straight from Europe to Japan. He is currently in Japan and preparing to start promotional activities. When he will return to Korea, we have not decided yet.”
GDragon was on the Europe trip both as a getaway and also to study fashion for his upcoming album postponed to August.

Jang Hyun Seng who was eliminated from group Big Bang before their debut gave a painful confession on tvN ENEWS on 12th May.
He said, “I don’t know why I became an issue like that. Because there are many other trainee out there too, I don’t understand the reason why I get so much attention. Right now I am thinking about what I needs. I am preparing hard for my audition. Until I debut, please wait a little while more.”
Jang Hyun Seung has already his fanbase set up when he was the 6th member of Big Bang before debut.

SHINee and 2PM both debuted last year as the boy band representatives and have been competing with each other ever since. Although SHINee did gain the most popularity last year, 2PM's success this year will definitely start a new rivalry with SHINee.
SHINee will be releasing their second mini-album "Romeo" on the 21st of this month as their official comeback to the music industry. It's already been 9 months since the release of their latest album, <The SHINee World>, which was released back in August.
Along with SHINee, 2PM and their counterparts 2AM, U-Kiss and other groups were some of the talented idol groups that were active last year. Winning every single best newcomer award, their hit songs like "Noona, You're So Pretty", "Love like Oxygen", and "AMIGO" made SHINee the undisputed best newcomer of last year.
Recently, 2PM released their new single, "2:00PM Time for Change". When SHINee finally returns, a new friendly battle between the two groups will be inevitable.
As well, 2PM's hit song, "Again & Again" has been steadily gaining popularity on the music charts. On the 10th, 2PM won the mutizen award on SBS Inkigayo, securing the number one spot. Having to face a new challenge from 2PM, SHINee may have to step it up and show an even more active stage.

A production announcement press conference was held on 12th May in Seoul GooRoDong 9th Avenue for the upcoming KBS drama ‘IRIS’.
The main cast Lee Byung Hun, Kim Tae Hee, Big Bang TOP, Kim So Yeon and Kim Seung Woo were present at the press conference.
‘IRIS’ is said to be the best anticipating drama of year 2009 with its famous cast.
Lee Byung Hun acts as Hyun Joon who is works for NSS investigating a great national conspiracy. Kim Tae Hee acts as SeungHee who also work for the NSS. Whie Kim So Yeon acts as Kim Seon Hwa who works as both a staff at NSS and also a operation agent in the drama.
Also Kim Seung Woo acts as a North Korea escort team leader while TOP plays a cruel killer in the show.
The show is set to be 20 billion KRW in the making, and its cast will bring the viewers through action and romance scenes with the backdrop of Asia and European countries.
The drama is set to air in the latter half of the year in September.

The movie is to be released on the 14th which Jeong acts as Miss Kim whose whole world is the small dark room. She looks very lonely and wears no makeup with dark circles under her eyes.
She has lost even more weight for this role and when she read over the scenario just once, she was casted right away!
Jeong takes off the city fashionista look and takes on the complete opposite role!

It is set that Big Bang will release their new Japanese single on 13th, and will hope a press conference on 13th in Japan Tokyo.
Currently, all the Big Bang members are heading to Japan to prepare for their promtional activities to start. This is the first album they will release after signing with Universal music.
The songs in the single will be mainly sang in English, but there will also be songs sang in Japanese in it. The album will be revealed together with the press conference.
YG Entertainment also added that they will be much more active in Japan as compared to last year.

40 sets from when they were performin ‘Lies’, ‘Last Farewell’, ‘Haru Haru’ and ‘Sunset Glow’ will be sold from 11th to 24th May. Each set of clothes will have Big Bang’s autograph on it.
