Solbi is still insecure

On the show Ya Shim Man Man Season 2, the group was discussing Solbi's latest plastic surgery and how it shouldn't be a big deal since it was her decision. Solbi herself said "I don't understand why people are saying stuff even while expecting celebrities to become prettier. I am more confident after getting surgery and I feel like I can take on the antis. To be honest, if you walk down the street and grab someone, you'll find many people who have done some tuning."

Yoon Jong Shin went on to say "Truthfully, many people won't say much about your surgery because it was your own choice", but Kang Ho Dong couldn't resist adding "Honestly, instead of talking about your plastic surgery, more people say that you need to start reading some books" and implying that she wasn't very smart. Solbi, being the feisty one that she is, didn't miss the implication and attacked Kang Ho Dong's statement questioning "Who? I want to talk about this. Isn't this just your own thoughts? What exactly did you mean by that? and caused Kang Ho Dong to freeze in his spot.

After seeing this, MC Mong stated "Seeing Solbi is like seeing Shinji and Seo In Young's characters put together" and drew out laughs. Kang Ho Dong asked apologetically "Aren't you actually really smart? to which Solbi replied "I don't actually die to read books either." Although Kang Ho Dong said it like he didn't mean it, I think a lot of people probably agree with that statement. I know I do, and in my opinion (which is the only one that matters anyway), she needs to fix that brain of hers before she starts fixing her face.

I dont want to sound like a hater but she kinda looks like she gained some weight instead of losing it. Its going to be hard for her to get to the *~46kgs~*

Sigh, Solbi, oh Solbi. Jong Shin is right. People will not talk about her plastic surgery if she just doesn't talk about her. She's just unnecessarily drawing attention to herself.

.... Which is what she wants perhaps since her new show is coming out right? Some attention is better than no attention, I guess.

I realize how horrible that comment actually is consider, but I do like Solbi and I don't think plastic surgery is such a bad thing. But when you're getting it done constantly just to "fix" yourself, you've got bigger things to worry about.

Girl looks cute, but she should've backed off from the spotlight a bit. But she's on YSMM, what's she gonna do if not talk? I respect Solbi for confronting things head-on. The anti-wave is unnecessary. Being a celebrity in Korea must suck if you're not DBSK, Big Bang or Hyori.

I'm generally anti-anti (lol) but... I agree with KHD. I don't know if she's actually smart or not, but all this incessant talk about the surgery, in a society where plastic surgery is a common but slightly distasteful topic, is only going to bring more and more attention to her, and not necessarily of the positive kind.

Someone just needs to tell her confidence comes from the ~inside~!

Really? I know we can't be sure with celebs, but I've always thought she was reasonably smart. The first time I saw her was on Jiwhaza with DBSK, and she seemed like the fun, jokey type, but it was a quiz game thing, and she was answering stuff well and she did pretty good, and I thought she may be the jokey type, but she doesn't want to be thought of as a bimbo or an idiot.

I actually like that she mentions it instead of hiding away. You know it'll come up eventually, if she comments now, maybe everybody can move on. She probably wouldn't have brought it up if her face hadn't swollen and the world hadn't jumped on her. Even on WGM, like I said I know we can't know with celebs and maybe the whole damn thing was staged and scripted, but I really respected her there too - "Yeah, so I like him more. So what?" I like that a lot.

A prection is from a really terrible tattoo (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=kangin%27s%20tattoo&sa=N&tab=wi&um=1) my bb Kangin got. No one knows what it actually means - precious? erection? but either way, the Engrish is very LOLable.

as to the above: I don't know, if she doesn't want to be thought of as a bimbo, she shouldn't have gotten the plastic surgery. :/ That's my stance on it, I guess. I know it's so very common in k-pop, and I'm looking at it from a Western point-of-view, but there's a lot more respect for a "natural" beauty than someone who is sculpting her face from plastic.

I don't really equate plastic surgery with being a bimbo; Korea has kinda desensitised me to that over the last year or so. She was so cute and pretty before the surgery, I guess it's like anorexics thinking they're fat even though they're stick-thin.
