Ladies’ Code’s Ashley took part in a pictorial with Maxim where she talked about her solo debut image, promoting alone, and the group’s comeback.

Ashley recently made her solo debut with “Here We Are,” and is currently active as a radio DJ on Arirang Radio’s “Sound K.”

Ashley began the interview portion by talking about “Here We Are” and the kind of image she wanted to portray. She shared, “I worked hard to show a healthy, athletic sexiness. There were a lot of people who thought the lively, bouncy feeling was charming, so I’m relieved.”

On promoting as a solo artist, she commented, “I felt the members’ absence even more. It was a lot harder than I thought to fill the stage for three minutes and 40 seconds with singing, dancing, and expressions all by myself.” She also addressed the group’s future activities and mentioned, “We plan on making a comeback as a whole in the latter half of the year. Please give us a lot of love.”

BigHit Entertainment announced, “Nicki Minaj will be featuring on ‘IDOL (feat. Nicki Minaj),’ the last track of BTS’s upcoming repackage album ‘Love Yourself: Answer,’ which will be released today at 6 p.m. KST.” The song is not included in the physical copy of the album as it will be a special digital track. Nicki Minaj’s signature rapping style is set to reimagine BTS’s new title track “IDOL” in an interesting way.

The agency explained that after finishing their work on the new album, BTS sent Nicki Minaj a request to feature on the album as they felt that her rapping would fit the song well, and the rapper happily took up the offer. Anticipation was already soaring for the conclusion to BTS’s “Love Yourself” series, and the news that Nicki Minaj will be joining the album is only raising people’s excitement for the release.

Hello. This is girl group SHA SHA's company Major Entertainment. We have received the results from the hospital as to why member Wanlin fainted.

The hospital informed us that she fainted due to not enough blood supply reaching her brain. Further examinations will be done in order to accurately determine her health condition and prevent any further developments.

Thus, SHA SHA will be active as temporarily a 5-member group starting with KBS2 'Music Bank' today (August 24th). We will actively support Wanlin as she focuses on recovering. Thank you.

The upcoming drama “Prometheus” confirmed that the Korean-American actor, who is best-known for his role in the popular “Maze Runner” film series, had officially joined its cast.

The drama’s producers announced, “Hollywood actor Ki Hong Lee has been cast as a CIA agent. We are looking forward to his appearance [in the production], which we expect will give rise to an even more realistic drama.” Although Ki Hong Lee was first offered the role of CIA agent Frank Lee eight months ago, the actor was reportedly especially careful in considering the offer because he had never appeared in a Korean drama before.

“Prometheus,” which will also star Ha Ji Won, Jin Goo, and Park Ki Woong, is a spy thriller about the unexpected disappearance of three North Korean scientists and the international politics involved in the tense, complicated situation.

The drama is scheduled to begin filming in late September and is currently aiming for a premiere sometime in the first half of 2019.

Court Extends Former South Korean President Park Geun-Hye's Prison Sentence By A Year

Park Geun-hye, South Korea’s impeached and ousted president, was sentenced Friday to 25 years in prison, as an appeals court convicted her of collecting more bribes than previously believed from Samsung, the country’s largest business conglomerate.

In a lower-court ruling in April, Ms. Park, 66, was sentenced to 24 years in prison on bribery, extortion, abuse of power and other criminal charges and ordered to pay 18 billion won ($16 million) in fines. But on Friday, the appeals court in Seoul added another year to her prison term and increased her fine to 20 billion won, saying that the collusive ties between Ms. Park and Samsung were more expansive than the lower court had ruled.

Ms. Park, who has been in jail since last year, did not appear in court on Friday to hear the verdict. Her trial does not end until the Supreme Court rules on the case.

On August 24, Taewon Entertainment reported that Megan Fox and Kim Myung-Min have confirmed to appear in the upcoming Korean film “Jangsa-ri 9.15,” directed by producers Kwak Kyung-Taek and Kim Tae-Hoon.

“Jangsa-Ri 9.15” will tell a story about the Battle of Jangsa, an actual event that took place on September 15, 1950.
