BigHit Entertainment announced, “Nicki Minaj will be featuring on ‘IDOL (feat. Nicki Minaj),’ the last track of BTS’s upcoming repackage album ‘Love Yourself: Answer,’ which will be released today at 6 p.m. KST.” The song is not included in the physical copy of the album as it will be a special digital track. Nicki Minaj’s signature rapping style is set to reimagine BTS’s new title track “IDOL” in an interesting way.

The agency explained that after finishing their work on the new album, BTS sent Nicki Minaj a request to feature on the album as they felt that her rapping would fit the song well, and the rapper happily took up the offer. Anticipation was already soaring for the conclusion to BTS’s “Love Yourself” series, and the news that Nicki Minaj will be joining the album is only raising people’s excitement for the release.

The "By All Means Necessary" segment of ARMY wouldn't care if they starred in a Polanski movie at this point so there's no hope in ever expecting anything better from them. I'm just confused as to how they don't even seem to care when BTS' bad choices end up doing way more damage than good to their career and they would be way better off if they were actually called out and motivated to follow up or change. Everyone knows I won't hesitate to call BTS out for working with problematic people but this has gotten to a whole new messy level where I almost just feel sorry for them, lol. No one is benefiting from this other than Nicki seeing how she's Queen Meltdown in the west at this point, she's not going to make them look good by association at all (if anything she's lucky to get the Trumpian part of their fanbase unquestioningly on her side) and there's nothing I can say about this that could be worse than the womp womp that is followed by this announcement that I'll bet they thought would be a highlight in their career, and hard work that ended up being put into making this collab happen being all for nowt.
