On May 9, a source from OSEN reported that Moon Chae Won had been cast in the drama “Gyeryong Fairy Tale”.
The drama is in talks to air on tvN and will be pre-produced. Based on a webtoon, it tells the story of a 699-year-old fairy who has lived through the Goryeo and Joseon dynasties and is working as a barista in the modern age when she meets with two potential reincarnations of her former husband.
Previously Kang Sora had been cast as the female lead, but had to leave due to scheduling conflicts. Actress Moon Chae Won has been confirmed to replace her in the project, which also stars Yoon Hyun Min in the role of biology professor Jung Yi Hyun. Seo Ji Hoon has also confirmed as the second lead.
The project is produced by JS Pictures, directed by Kim Yoon Chul (“My Name Is Kim Sam Soon,” “Woman of Dignity”), and written by Yoo Kyung Sun.

This whole video confuses me lol. Dramatic scenes with upbeat happy smiley singing and dancing in uniforms? Say whaaat? Also were those scenes supposed to be “sexy”? Anyways, I remember this song, the chorus is fun. It’s another solid song from the equally solid Davichi in Wonderland album.

Lee Hye Young is set to play Cha Moon Suk, who will make Bong Sang Pil’s life harder. The character is described as a two-faced character who hides her ill intentions behind a warm smile. Choi Min Soo will play Ahn Oh Joo, an ambitious man who went from a neighborhood gang member to the head of a conglomerate. He will work with Cha Moon Suk to make Bong Sang Pil and Ha Jae Yi’s lives miserable.

SM Entertainment has given fans a chance to go on a date—albeit a virtual reality (VR) one—with Red Velvet’s Irene!
On May 11, the company launched the new app “STAR DATE #IRENE,” which offers users the opportunity to experience a VR date with the idol. The app features Irene in various romantic date settings, such as a scenic car drive and a nighttime fireworks display. It also involves various missions and levels of games, through which players can earn the points necessary to unlock the three different endings to the story.
“STAR DATE #IRENE” is currently available for Android.

UNI.T to debut on May 18

UNI.T, the winning female group from The Unit, will debut on May 18. It has also been announced that the group will be debuting with a reggae concept.
A source from their agency has said that UNI.T worked with producer Shinsadong Tiger on their title track. Shinsadong Tiger has previously worked on songs for artists including EXID, Apink, VIXX, HyunA, and many more. Recent hits that he’s worked on include EXID’s “Lady,” Apink’s “Five,” and MOMOLAND’s “BBoom BBoom.”
UNI.T will first show the performance of their title track "Line" at Dream Concert this Saturday, May 12.
