It's really the same as in a lot of fandoms. An idol says or does something anti Black and the Black people are told they are being dramatic/ koreans dont know better/shut up and stop being mean to oppa. With ARMY specifically a lot of the ones who do this are twitter stan accounts run by white girls. There was somebody going to the curious cat accounts of Black ARMYs saying very racist stuff. It had gone on for a long time. Black ARMYs spoke out about it and were asking others to help report it. It was ignored by a lot of non POC. And it was found out that some white ARMYs were pretending to be Black so they could bully, troll and send threats. Basically mocking the feelings of Black ARMYs and using it to do bad things. A true mess.

Problem is that it's not like it can be dismissed as just trolling when it involves a bomb threat. There's always the chance that the one time they ignore it, it may happen for real.

They should however track down whoever's doing this shit and charge them as harshly as possible

mte. i agree with the comment up there that threats should be taken seriously which is why the people who reported it to the police and the venue absolutely did the right thing, but beyond that there's absolutely no point in spreading it around every website and platform, all it does is create a climate of fear and give trolls the attention they were after which will only encourage them to do it again

while i do agree that threats like these should be taken seriously, i also think (regardless of trolling) that the message should be spread to people who are attending the concert and should at least be advised that security will be tightened. does it suck that there are people in this world that want to ruin the fun for people? yes, but i'd rather be aware of the threat and go to an event with packed security than know the threat and not go out of fear.

These threats are mostly not legit. As long as the authorities are taking it seriously, there's nothing being extra antsy is going to do to keep anyone safer. The fact that theres a risk to stepping out of our front door that increases the more people are around us, is just something we're gonna have to accept in the times we're living in. I truly believe that giving less buzz and less for these crazies to thrive on will help to reduce the problem somewhat. The importance of attention is importance

I'm so angry over Curious Cat's handling of racist and threatening messages, I follow a lot of Black ARMYs and the shit they keep getting is awful. I just keep thinking of that Ariana Grande concert in the UK (yes, I know it was a different political context with ISIS and all but it still reminds me of that) and all the kiddos going to this concert tour, and it just sickens me that someone would even think such awful thoughts much less act on them.
