Kim Jisoo (age: 21) and Jennie Kim (age: 20) have reportedly been confirmed as members of YG Entertainment’s new girl group.

After announcing that it would debut, in July, its first girl group in seven years since 2NE1, YG has officially denied likely candidates Jang Hana and Moon Sua of SBS’s “K-Pop Star 3″ and Mnet’s “Unpretty Rapstar 2″ fame, respectively, as members of the group.

Kim Jisoo and Jennie Kim have been mentioned as strong candidates for the group since 2012 but, with the delay in their debut, it became questionable whether even these two would join the group.

DIA Pulls Out Of 2016 Dream Concert Line-Up, Jung Chaeyeon To Perform With I.O.I

It’s been decided that Jung Chaeyeon will be participating in the 2016 Dream Concert as a member of I.O.I and not DIA.

Representatives of SBS and the Korea Entertainment Producer’s Association reported on June 1 that DIA would not be attending the concert. While it was initially planned that Jung Chaeyeon would participate in the Dream Concert as both a member of DIA and I.O.I, DIA’s agency MBK Entertainment revealed that they pulled the group out of the concert for Jung Chaeyeon’s sake.

A representative from MBK Entertainment told OSEN, “We decided that DIA will not be participating in the Dream Concert. Since participating with both groups would be difficult for her, we sat down with her and the DIA members and came to this decision.”

The Dream Concert will mark I.O.I’s last promotion as a full group before they move on to unit promotions, so MBK came to this decision to let Jung Chaeyeon focus on that performance. The MBK representative continued, “DIA will be making a comeback in June, and of course Jung Chaeyeon will be participating.”

Jung Chayeon faced controversy earlier this month following the news that she had officially rejoined as a member of DIA. The news left many wondering how she’d manage being an active member of two groups at the same time.

Junsu Explains What INFINITE & BTOB Mean To Him

On May 31, XIA (Junsu) held a livestream through Naver V App talking about his latest album “Xignature,” and its title song, “Rock Your World.”

During the show, he’s asked by one of the viewers if there are any juniors in the industry he’s fond of.

After contemplating, he replies, “Truthfully, there’s so many idols these days I don’t really know a lot of people personally. I might know their group’s name, but not individual names. If I had to choose, I would say the BEAST and INFINITE members. These days, it’s nice to see that idols really passionate about what they do, and how they can sing and dance really well. But of course, I’m closer to those I interact with and know personally. That’s why I am fond of BEAST and INFINITE.”

He also adds BTOB left a big impression on him as well, since they always greet him well. Junsu explains how he was especially touched how BTOB’s Yook Sungjae once was sleeping at the salon, but woke up to just to greet him. Because he knows what that lifestyle is like and how tired the younger idol must have been, Junsu feels that Yook Sungjae, and all the the BTOB members are really kind.

Insiders report that TaeTiSeo is likely to make a comeback at the end of the year. Their last comeback was made in December with 'Dear Santa'. Block B’s Taeil and f(x)’s Luna are expected to put on duet performance at the KCON 2016 France!

According to industry insiders on May 2, the two talented vocalists are teaming up for a duet version of Taeil’s groupmate Zico’s “It Was Love,” originally featuring vocals by Luna. Their performance will take place at the Accor Hotels Arena in Paris on June 2.

This is the first time for Taeil and Luna to collaborate on a song. Both Block B and f(x) will also be making group appearances at the event.

Meanwhile, this year’s KCON France marks the first European event for KCON. Artists confirmed to perform at the concert hosted by Super Junior’s Leeteuk are BTS, Block B, SHINee, FTISLAND, f(x), and I.O.I, while top actors Jin Goo and Han Ji Min will also make appearances to greet their European fans.
