Junsu Explains What INFINITE & BTOB Mean To Him

On May 31, XIA (Junsu) held a livestream through Naver V App talking about his latest album “Xignature,” and its title song, “Rock Your World.”

During the show, he’s asked by one of the viewers if there are any juniors in the industry he’s fond of.

After contemplating, he replies, “Truthfully, there’s so many idols these days I don’t really know a lot of people personally. I might know their group’s name, but not individual names. If I had to choose, I would say the BEAST and INFINITE members. These days, it’s nice to see that idols really passionate about what they do, and how they can sing and dance really well. But of course, I’m closer to those I interact with and know personally. That’s why I am fond of BEAST and INFINITE.”

He also adds BTOB left a big impression on him as well, since they always greet him well. Junsu explains how he was especially touched how BTOB’s Yook Sungjae once was sleeping at the salon, but woke up to just to greet him. Because he knows what that lifestyle is like and how tired the younger idol must have been, Junsu feels that Yook Sungjae, and all the the BTOB members are really kind.

I don't mean to attack you by saying this, but I find this comment funny when in a different situation with Choiza and Luna, people always scream for Choiza to shut his mouth and stop mentioning Luna. Omonians always comment how the guy shouldn't say anything because it's always worse for the girl than it is the guy. So when I read your comment I couldn't help but think (guys can't win either way; whether they say nothing or talk). Again, I have no idea if you ever weighed in on Choiza and Luna. I'm just reacting to the comment in general.

Personally I think it depends on the couple. Some couples want to show off their relationship and some want to keep it private. I honestly think Junsu has been traumatized by his sasaengs and wouldn't reveal any details about his relationships unless it's something major like getting married or having a kid.

I'm not Korean and I didn't know about the backlash Choiza and Luna got. I think Choiza is a rapper? With Dynamic Duo? Are there 2 peeps named Choiza? Is one dating Sulli? kinda confused now lol.

I used to really love JYJ and Junsu and I followed them mostly so I didn't understand how impossible dating is for kpop stars. Sure I had heard it was difficult but I didn't really understand.

He may or may not make things worse if he spoke. Honestly I think they're both doing okay. I just meant that it was funny to see that perspective too. Looking at all the flack Choiza got, I never expected to see a comment like yours. It was the perfect example that there was no right answer. People will complain regardless. Also, another person agreed with you, that it bothered them Junsu didn't mention Hani (if I remember correctly), so it wasn't just your comment.

Edit: Aha! I meant to reply to the person you replied to, and you were the person who replied that I mentioned in my comment above. XD My bad, but I wasn't trying to start anything with either of you.

Also said very sweet things about Kang Sunghoon and was generally fanboying over Sechs Kies. I imagine seeing a comeback/reunion like that is emotionally wrought for him for many reasons.

what i find amusing that these 'juniors' debuted in 2009 and 2010. they've actually been around for forever themselves. pretty sure junsu would just blink when shown pictures of groups that have debuted in the last couple of years.

a girl i tutor in high school said her favourite groups are bts and seventeen, and i was like BABIES ? ?? SO NEW ? ??? but even bts debuted three years ago now oops.
