EXO‘s Chanyeol sat down for an interview on June 5 with News 1 to talk about what’s been going on in his life recently, both individually and as a member of the hugely popular group.
When talking about EXO’s recent comeback with their track “Love Me Right,” he says, “It’s really great because we’re smiling while we’re performing. It’s fun.”
He’s also asked about the guys’ recent stunt in which Chanyeol, Kai, Baekhyun, and Chen all dressed up in football gear and pretended to be playing football outside of the KBS building when they were heading in to film “Music Bank.”
“We were disappointed that we only got to wear the football uniforms when we were filming the music video. We couldn’t dance in them, so we wondered what would be the best way to show them off. We came up with the plan because we thought it would be fun to show them off somewhere like that.”
Chanyeol recently appeared on “Superman Returns” with his fellow member Baekhyun when they went to Lee Hwi Jae‘s place to meet his adorable twin boys Seo Eon and Seo Joon. Seo Eon is known for being shy around strangers, but he warmed up to Chanyeol almost right away. He even held out his arms to Chanyeol soon after they met, wordlessly asking Chanyeol to pick him up.

On June 7, 2PM released new teasers for their upcoming fifth album entitled "No. 5."
In previously released photos aimed to get fans excited for their June comeback, the guys were seen in black-and-white individual photos. In each, they were lounging around a house, making even the most everyday of activities look attractive.
Now the band has released vibrant color teasers for the album from the same shoot that feature them kicking back together as they lie around, have a drink, and even brush their teeth.
The album and the music video for 2PM’s comeback track "Our House" will be released on June 15.

On June 5, BIGBANG made an appearance on “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” their first time on the show as a full group. During their interview after their performance of “BAE BAE,” Yoo Hee Yeol asks what the group members are good at.
T.O.P, who is last, is probably the most surprising of them all. When T.O.P’s turn comes around, Seungri says, “He is really good at singing.” Taeyang jumps in, and says, “The tone of his voice is a lot like Jeon In Kwon when he sings.”
The members then ask T.O.P to sing the song “Please” by the band Deulgukhwa (vocals: Jeon In Kwon).
T.O.P says, “It’s not that our voices our similar; that’s not possible. It’s just that I really like Deulgukhwa’s songs.”
He continues, “I do get really shy when I sing. Rappers usually get shy about singing…”
“So you can overcome it here,” says Taeyang, and Yoo Hee Yeol agrees, offering to play piano for T.O.P while he sings.
While singing (Deulgukhwa’s “Only That Is My World“), however, T.O.P gets singing stage fright and is unable to continue, although Taeyang tries to help him out a little bit.
He says, “Honestly, I was definitely going to sing because [Yoo Hee Yeol] was playing for me, but it was more nerve-wracking for me than our first debut performance. I think this is the first time I’ve trembled like this.”

Block B‘s Zico revealed a new mixtape, and its contents are garnering some interest.
On June 7, Zico revealed the mixtape on his Twitter with the captions, “my team remix – zico.” Since mixtapes are not for commercial use and the artists writes lyrics over previously existing beats, rappers can express themselves more freely.
In the mixtape that was revealed, there are some interesting lyrics, including, “I became a useful reference to rookie development teams. They say they make mixtapes and compose. Then afterwards they media play articles with me in it.”
He then continues, “For them to get big, they have to hashtag Zico like coconut water. Rappers who were put together by looking at instruction manuals are overflowing, ya know what I mean.”
Netizens are wondering if the lyrics, which seem like they’re targeting someone, are about Minhyuk from MONSTA X, who recently made a comment about Zico. On May 24, when a fan asked MONSTA X, “How do you feel when you hear that Jooheon resembles Zico?” Minhyuk replied, “It’s annoying, to be honest. How do you feel, Jooheon? Be honest.”
Minhyuk issued an apology on May 25 through MONSTA X’s official twitter to Zico and the BBC fans.

South Korea is often chided by adoptee lobby-groups and international observers for having renounced its orphaned and abandoned children for decades. After the Korean war (1950-53) South Korea witnessed perhaps the largest exodus of infants—around 200,000—from a single country into adoption in foreign homes. As recently as 2011 it was the sixth-biggest source of infants for adoption in the world (it dropped to 17th in 2013). Yet South Korea has in fact been caring for an overwhelming majority of its unwanted children—2m, or around 85% of the total—who have grown up in state-run orphanages in the past six decades. Part of the reason for that is that adoption in South Korea is so rare. Why?

It has been revealed that Red Velvet member Wendy and rapper Yook Ji Dam have taken part in a collaboration track for the official soundtrack of KBS’ drama “Who Are You: School 2015."
On June 8, the production company for the drama’s OST, CJ E&M, revealed that Wendy and Yook Ji Dam’s new OST track, titled “Return,” will be released through various online music sites on this day.
It is said that “Return” is a song that captures a message of hope and courage to provide strength for people who are down and worn out. It combines Wendy and Yook Ji Dam’s charming voices with a soft electric guitar sound and a refreshing melody.
Part seven of “Who Are You’s” OST, which features “Return,” is set for release today at noon. Are you looking forward to the track?

Girl group EXID has been chosen as the next group star in their very own reality show “Showtime!”
On June 8, a representative of MBCEvery1’s “Showtime” confirmed, “EXID will be featured as the stars of season five of ‘Showtime.’”
“Showtime,” which first premiered in 2013 with EXO as the main group, has passed on the baton to many other popular groups including BEAST, A Pink, and SISTAR.
Since the group’s music chart reversal with their hit track “Up & Down,” EXID has become trending idols in the industry, even reaching number one on public broadcast music programs.
