G-DRAGON Meets Seoul Museum of Art… Collaborating for Art Exhibition

[스타뉴스=길혜성 기자] BIGBANG (G-DRAGON, T.O.P, TAEYANG, DAESUNG, and SEUNGRI)’s member G-DRAGON meets Seoul Museum of Art.

According to BIGBANG’s label YG Entertainment(“YG”) on the 26 this month, G-DRAGON will showcase his collaboration with artists from in and out of the country, in “PEACEMINUSONE: Beyond the Stage”, an exhibition to be held from June 9 to August 23 at Seoul Museum of Art located in Seosomun-dong, Seoul.

The meaning of the exhibition is that G-DRAGON’s cultural vision is interpreted in the language of contemporary art, to transcend the boundary of genres. Twelve modern artists from in and out of the country including Michael Scoggins, Sophie Clements, James Clar, Universal Everything, Quayola, Fabien Bersche, Architect SoA, Gwon Oh-sang, Bang & Lee, Park Hyung-geun, Son Dong-hyun, and Jin Ki-jong will take part in the exhibition.

G-DRAGON has communicated and collaborated for the exhibition for the past year, taking part in the selection of the artists and sharing his ideas on “PEACEMINUSONE”, the theme of the exhibition.

“PEACEMINUSONE”, the title of the exhibition, is the name of another world perceived and imagined by G-DRAGON. It shows the meaning of the crossing point between the ideal and reality (ONE) in the real world of want (MINUS), even though it pursues to be an ideal world of PEACE.

In the exhibition, total 200 pieces of art including installations, sculptures, photos, and paintings which have been born through artistic communication between G-DRAGON and the artists, as well as G-DRAGON’s personal collections will be showcased.

Seoul Museum of Art and YG who planned the exhibition together said, “We wanted to create an opportunity in which leading artists of Korean contemporary art’s different genres including photography, sculpture, painting, and installation gather together centering around G-DRAGON who is famous both in Korean and overseas, to produce new cultural contents, resulting in globalization of Korean art and introduction of this form of exhibition overseas”.

Meanwhile, the exhibition is sponsored by AirBNB, a website that connects travelers and local hosts in more than 190 countries.

Singer Eddy Kim will be releasing the first song since debut that he did not write himself.

This release will be a collaboration with hit composer, Kim Do Hoon for his project album (DOKKUN PROJECT). The new song is called “Coffee & Tea” and it will be sung with Solar of talented girl group, Mamamoo, as a surprise duet.

There is hot interest in what kind of synergy Eddy Kim and Solar will exhibit in their duet.

“Coffee & Tea” will be released through various digital sites at NOON on May 28th.

Park Yoo-chun holds fan meeting with 1500 Japanese fans in Seoul

Park Yoo-chun made a special and unforgettable moment with his Japanese fans.

C-JeS Entertainment said, “Park Yoo-chun had a surprise fan meeting with Japanese fans on May 24 at 63 Building in Seoul. Nearly 1,500 fans from Japan visited Seoul just to see the star. Park Yoo-chun had a talk with the fans and even sang the song ‘I’m So Fortunate’, successfully wrapping up the three-hour fan meeting.”




As Park Yoo-chun appeared on stage, his fans welcomed him by shouting his name and the actor greeted them with his signature friendly smile. Then he shared his thoughts about finishing his drama “The Girl Who Sees Smells” and other projects he had done.

Park Yoo-chun said, “I’m always thankful to my fans who have been showing support silently at the same place. I will be start filming the movie ‘Lucid Dream’ now. I’ll work hard to show a better side through the movie.” He wrapped up the event by singing Lee Juk’s “I’m So Fortunate” to his fans.

Meanwhile, Park Yoo-chun will hold his solo fan meeting “Housewarming party : Epi 2″ at Hwajeong Tiger Dome of Korea University on May 30 and 31.




JYJ Park Yoo Chun has only just wrapped up filming for his drama ‘The Girl Who Sees Smells,’ but he is definitely not getting a break just yet as he begin the first of many fan meetings with Japanese fans this past Sunday.

The fan meeting was held on May 24th at the Convention Center Grand Ball Room inside 63 Building in Seoul, as he met over 1,500 Japanese fans who had flown over to Korea from Japan.



Park Yoo Chun not only conversed freely with fans on the day, but also sang the OST from his drama ‘The Girl Who Sees Smells,’ and left the three hour long fan meeting progress smoothly without any boredom.

As the fan meeting neared its conclusion, Park Yoo Chun said, “I’m really grateful to my fans who have stood by me, and showed me lots of support. I will begin filming for my movie ‘Lucid Dream’ really soon, and I will work really hard to let everyone see the best side of me through the movie.”

Meanwhile, Park Yoo Chun will be holding his ‘Housewarming party: Epi 2′ fan meeting at Seoul’s Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium on May 30th and 31st.

VIXX′s N expressed that he wants to invite BoA to his radio program.

On May 26, N had an interview at the SBS Radio Open Studio for SBS radio Power FM′s VIXX N K-Pop, where he shared, "I definitely want to invite BoA as a guest."



On this day, N chose BoA as the guest he wants to invite.

"BoA sunbaenim is someone whom I′ve watched on stage since I was young," explained N. "If possible, I want to also invite our company CEO. I think it would be fun if he were to talk about me. I also think he would have a lot to say since the program is focused on K-Pop."

As he became a radio DJ, N shared that Super Junior′s Ryeowook shared much advice. "Ryeowook hyung gave me lots of advice. He said the important thing is that even if a mistake is made, you have make it so that even the mistake is funny to the listeners. He also gave me lots of confidence saying that I′ll do well since I have experience."

VIXX N K-Pop is a radio program focused on entertainment with various guests, instead of the usual late night radio program of sharing music and stories. Past guests include EXID, BESTie, Dal Shabet, Heart B, Hotshot and Rionfive.
